I go to that church. It is amazing! The people there are so sweet, caring and kind! They help you with things you need help with, and it’s a great church to learn the goodness of god. Even though my ex goes to that church, it will not change me going to that church. I would 100% recommend going to that church if you live near Odenville.
The best pastor in Alabama. Please listen to him people. He speaks the truth. 100 positive, too. I won't go there though until my lady friend goes with me. All I'm saying for tonight. Eating supper & going to bed.
Those that know how to spot counterfeit money never study counterfeit money...they are intimately acquainted with real currency so it’s easy to spot. Always focus on the truth..not the imitation.
Mark 10:35-45 "Upside-down Living." Jesus teaches that the Kingdom of God is an upside-down kingdom in a right-side up world. Once you come to Christ you realize that the Kingdom of God is upside-right kingdom in an upside-down world. We are reminded by James and John that we are quick to claim the blessings of God but slow to hear the cost of participation. The disciples are asking self-centered questions. Think through this: if God was to answer one pray of ours whose kingdom would be glorified? Would that prayer make an eternal difference, or would that prayer be self-centered? Our prayers say a lot about our commitment and dedication to Jesus Christ. God calls us to live differently; to upside-down living in the inverted Kingdom of God. Anyone wishing to share the glory of Jesus Christ must be willing to first share the suffering. We should pray not that we would be spared the suffering but that our faith would remain through the suffering. The way of the cross is the way of sacrifice. Jesus does not prevent you from suffering He prepares you to suffer. Radical upside-down living rejects Me-First Christianity. 1 Peter 4:13: "Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of Christ so that you may also rejoice with great joy when His glory is revealed. God's kingdom is a kingdom of service not status. The kingdom of the cross is the way of service. To be great in the kingdom of heaven is to be the least, and to be least in the kingdom is to be the great. We are called to upside-down, inverted, subversive, servant-minded living for Jesus Christ. Greatness in the community of heaven is not defined by title or talent, but by humility and servanthood.
"If you will confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, then you will be saved". The scribes knew everything they needed to know about Jesus, yet they did not believe. Evidence demands a decision from the beholder as to its source and its significance. If we know everything there is to know about God and still don't believe; then we don't have a head problem, we have a heart problem: we do not accept, nor will we submit to, the authority of Jesus Christ. Jesus has authority. The question becomes: what are you going to do about it? At some point you will experience a crisis of faith -- the moment you seriously question whether what you believe is true or not -- and you must decide to either accept or reject the authority of Christ. Your decision must be weighed on the words of Christ in Mark 3:28-30: "But whoever blasphemes (the conscious and deliberate rejection of the saving power and grace of God released through Jesus Christ) against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven".
We once had a group of people complaining that the youth only came to be with their girlfriends or boyfriends. Our wise pastor said,”Great! They will hear the Word ofGod!” There is no bad reason to come to church.
After dealing with an ongoing difficult situation at work this is exactly what I needed to help me focus on the joy God gives me and not temporary circumstances.
