My motorcycle is a supermoto that started out as a Kawasaki KLX250sf, but has been morphed into a KLX330sm.

just watched your video. so sorry you are going through this. you are staying positive. im about to go through this very soon. nutcracker is so hard to diagnose and treat.so glad you had relief. it would be amazing if you have time to reach out to me and talk and share your experience more in depth? i would like to know life years after surgery, cuz im scared to death of this
If you wear a black helmet you are practicaly invisible for the vehicles ahead( they focus on two headlights).Helmet color makes a big difference (from my experience also, I have yellow kind colored or put reflective white tape in front and back). Nice bike. Congrats!
Congrats on new bike its nice to see you riding again. Sadly or fortunately I never found a reason to upgrade from my starter of the Buell Blast. And now just realized how long it's been since the meet and greet in Madison.
@lauriejennifer yes I do. Didn't ride a whole lot, between it's story I'll would love to share with you (even some of pics) and then have gotten busy involving racecars. ( if you would like couple autographed hotshot photos of two cars let me know) but the bike would be there ready for me for I am finish getting rid of the bulk of my machines.
Alas, Batman went over the rainbow bridge in 2019. I've had another german shepherd, StarLord, since then. He's a hot mess compared to Batman, but I love him to pieces. My wife also has a pitbull, and she's a snugglebug (I mean the pitbull, but I guess it can apply to my wife as well). Thanks for asking! Batman was a very special dog.

Thank you so much! After struggling and grinding for many, many years, the last 3 years have been just better and better. Besides the dream bike, also marriage, a house, a new job, skydiving, a half marathon, a tattoo, etc. This KTM is a delightful cherry on top of what has been an absolutely lovely season in my life. Nothing lasts forever, so I'm savoring these good times. (Also helpful in bad times to remember nothing lasts forever, as proved to myself by my present circumstances.)

I can't say I've been an active viewer over the last few years, but I have subbed and loved you're vids back in the "you're two tyred" pun days. Glad to see you ontop your dream bike, best of luck rolling on the miles and I've put the bell on for your next upload 🙃👌

I swapped out my KLR horn for a Screaming Banshee, same issue of it being 'meh' at best. I'm not too sure about their newer 'snail shell' horns but the older compressor and trumpet combo horn is loud AF. Quick tap for a polite chirp, or hold it down for a wailing WHOA BUDDY honk. But as always on a moto see-and-avoid is the best defense.
Congrats on the new ride! I developed some sort of PTSD for riding. I guess I'm not a Moto anymore. 😞 It doesn't help that I hate weather over 70ºF. Stupid global warming. Or summer. Whatever.

Thank you! It is very lovely! I am incredibly happy with it so far. And for many years I handled warranty claims for a variety of motosport manufacturers. I have learned what to avoid, what's well built, etc. I did my homework and this bike is a solid choice. And it's just gotten better and better over the years. Perfect timing on snatching this one up. Used with low miles, minimal mods, and not a scratch on it.
@@lauriejennifer Very smart to buy used! In my 38 years of riding I bought only one new bike ... (2015 BMW GS Adventure) ... and I will probably never do that again. I'm back at the more reliable stuff that I can fix myself.
I love how it just generically sounds like something is wrong, all that clinging and clattering. You only have to worry if you start to hear a distinct noise 😆. Great power delivery, but well-behaved and smooth for a grocery run.
Congrats! Glad to see you riding and videoing again. I actually met you when you had your ER6N when I was coming back from Rockford, IL on a business trip. I stopped at a Wendy’s to grab something to eat and saw bike out front and saw you and your gear. Chatted for a bit about your ER6N and my Strom. I now have a T7 and a 2020 690 Enduro R. You may have waited 10 years to get your 690 but the wait was well worth it since they have really refined those bikes over those years. If I am not mistaken you should have a quick shifter on that bike. I keep forgetting I have one on my 690 but when I remember I have it, I am like a kid on Christmas morning all over again.
I think I remember that? Very cool! Would be fun to ride together again, see how the Enduro compares to the SMC R. If you're ever in the Kansas City area... When I get really comfortable with a bike, I will often shift without the clutch and just rev match. I've never had a quick shifter before, but now I want to bust out the owners manual and play around! I did learn my rough shifting on this bike isn't just me getting used to the Magura clutch. There's a recall on the clutch slave cylinder. Local KTM shop ran the VIN and has the part on order for me. They tried bleeding the clutch for now and it's marginally better, but definitely still getting air in the lines. Recall with the updated slave cylinder should fix it! Nice to not it's not just me. I wad beginning to question my skillset lol
@@lauriejennifer oh yeah one thing I learned about shifting the bike is you need to shift it like you mean it. When you do that if shifts a lot better.
This bike definitely brings out my giggles 😊! And you are spot on with your suggestions. Alas, I already had AStar Tech 3 boots. If it wasn't for that, even tippy toes wouldn't touch. I have an appointment with a local KTM dealer to go in and have my suspension tuned as best they can to my riding weight. I'm outside the limits of adjustment KTM anticipated, but it'll still be way better than it is now. Right now it's like riding a hard tail.
