All my family worked here, it closed while I was in school so never got to join them all.... I lived in commercial street right next to it, as a kid played all around the area. Happy memories
This is brilliant - there's loads of photographs and videos of this site, but this really puts it into a new perspective - I really want to get there to see the works before they disappear forever (if the development proceeds). Did you get hassled by security or did you have permission? It would be great to see a working coke plant given the same treatment - or even a big steelworks like Port Talbot…. Thanks for posting it.
Thank you, it really is a great site. It is amazing how quickly it has gotten over grown and where trees and plants have managed to grow. I didn't get hassled by security at all, but I was outside the grounds of the site.
