@@houstonsportstalk guys that should be pissed is guys like beekman and others who are better than bronny but didnt get drafted and had to settle for two way contracts or exhibit 10's
yea Reggie will be solid off the bench it is hard to get good minutes later in the season on a team thats so young I bet Reggie will get minutes early on and do really good but as the season goes on they will wanna give their young guys more minutes so they will trade him to a playoff team or cut him and he will get to sign with a playoff team of his choice I appreciate the salute make sure to push the sub button my man
Idk about Zu getting more shots but Norm definitely will I think Batum will get more shots up then he ever has with clippers with Paul gone I think harden will take more shots as well
Honestly if kpj proves he not with the bs anymore he could be there starting 2 cuz he is pretty good at catch and shoot and a secondary ball handler he will be back in his natural position
Kpj will not start they got James and Mann at the guards neither one of them is coming off the bench and then they have Kawhi and DJJ And Zu starting in the front court honestly if Kawhi got hurt which would of course happen he could start at the 3 but I think that would probably go to Batum
Yea I agree I believe if healthy witch health could be a problem they are either the last play in team or the 11th or 12 seed this is how I see the East rn 1. Celtics 2. Knicks 3. 76ers 4. Bucks 5. Magic 6. Pacers 7. Cavs 8. Heat 9. Raptors Then the pistons hawks and wizards fight for the 10 seed
Like I said in the video I’d love for the Astros to go get Luis stay away from Pete and go get Christian Walker Christian might be older then Pete but he is just as good as him but with a better batting average not as expensive with contract and trade value the Astros would not have to give up as much for Walker And Luis compared to Luis And Pate
Look I can’t guarantee a lot for this pistons team I hope the wins come cause I think they can I think there defense and turning the ball over will still suck but the one thing I can guarantee to anybody is that three point shooting which was terrible last year and other years will be so much better they will go from bottom class in the nba in shooting to the middle
100% agree, but maybe they don't get what they want for him and do a sign and trade next summer. I don't see how the Rockets can keep JG and Sengun...and they are NOT letting Sengun go. I think JG becomes the odd man out and ends up on the Suns.
@@NOJSIP yea him getting those picks was something down the line , I think they believe in Jalen but they are not all in on Jalen , depends on how he starts the season this year will determine that and. I think that’s what’s holding SENGUN contract up ,
@@richbase7005 If the Rockets resign Sengun now, then JG's value will drop. I think they would trade him now for Booker (their preferred target) if the Suns decides to move on from KD to get value out of him...OKC would pay up to bring him home for a championship run.
I think Stone is targeting the trade deadline or next summer...The AJ trade is a good indicator, he will not be trade eligible for 6 months. Stone will offer AJ, Holiday, Tate or Landale to go along with JG (on a sign and trade $30-35m x 4 or 5 years) + the 3 PHX picks (maybe one more pick) for Booker.
Predictions are all bs...they only expose the poser predictors... But, I think the Rockets will sweep their way through the Eastern Conference and then deny Broney in the Finals.
What are you talking about man you sound crazy the rockets are not in the eastern conference so they will not sweep through the eastern conference and they will not deny Bronny or Lebron in the finals because neither one of those things are physically possible
oh cmon the only reason I liked last years moves was because both Joe Harris and Monte Morris were coming off good seasons and both are sharp shooters shooting over 40 percent in their careers no one could have guessed that both guys who rarely had injury’s would have multiple injuries and that Monty Williams would completely keep a 45 percent career 3 point shooter out of the rotation in Joe Harris and then cut him and then they traded Monte as soon as he was healthy
I think it will be more of the 27-31 area if healthy if not 23-25 is probably right the East mainly the bottom is so weak all the following teams have got worse and not improved their rosters Hornets Hawks Raptors Wizards Bulls nets so those teams will be a lot worse next years and the pistons going up against those teams they will have a much better record against those teams against those teams last year Pistons we’re 10-11 with them getting better and those teams getting worse that record will get better
Oh man I believe in this team they clearly wanna win they just added in Paul Reed might have to change the channel name to Houston sports pistons talk won’t do that cause that name sounds terrible but just know I believe in this team rn if this team is healthy they will get 29-36 wins now if this team is does not stay healthy I think they will only win 23-27 games which is still a huge improvement but if you can get 32-36 you probably would be the 10th seed which is making the play in
There is promise there for sure. As a Pistons fan it was hard to watch, but all of our vets at the beginning of the season were injured. Im pretty sure the entire season we had two-way players coming off the bench. Thats not an nba caliber team. Our young core has insane potential, but the turnovers show the lack of experience. Also Monty Williams started Hayes over Ivey. For some reason Monty thought he had a Lonzo Ball in Hayes. Kid just got cut from the national team. Lot of problems last season for sure. What i like is that we got decent role players to complement the young core. Let the kids grow. Im hoping for 25+ wins.
Hardaway and Beasley seem to fit as reolacements for Joe Harris and Monte Morris whose seasons were derailed by injuries last season and are no longer Pistons.
Based on Courtney Lee and other Knicks comments, Sidney Lowe is a clever speaker/impressionist/ventriloquist. In a game btw NYK and WAS, on the last play, as NYK's Courtney Lee was sizing up Kelly Oubre, then Wizards Ass't Coach Lowe yelled out "I got your help!", Courtney Lee thought it was a player on the court he heard, hesitated, and the Wizards won. 😅🤣😅
lol I love this comment sorry it fooled you gotta put the question marks so it doesn’t make it really look like the signing happened if it makes you feel better I believe he will end up with the Lakers
@@houstonsportstalk i think he want his bag so he wont accept the lakers 4-6 million a year offer. he will want at least 16-18 million a year so it will have to be a sign and trade for gary trent jr,
Who in the f- gives a flying f-!? Jokic needs to jump ship because the nuggets and their ownership are penny-pinching and his legacy will not be what it would had these guys surrounded him with 1all-star level player who doesnt get injured when it matters.
when was any big player injured for the nuggets in the playoffs you are complaining but this team just won a championship he just won a mvp his 3rd mvp I bet he is fine and happy where he is sure did they lose KCP who was a big part of their team but he was just way to expensive
@@houstonsportstalk jokic lost 3 of his prime years because murray was injured…look it up brate. After the lakers bubble chip, jokic hits another stratosphere in terms of production and just prior to that playoffs, jamal is lost dud to injury. Jamal was out for 2 playoff runs, not to mention this year he was clearly injured, or at least thats how he looked. Mpj was also injured in 2021, and has NEVER taken the secondary scoring role when he has had the chance, with jamal out. Btw i couldnt possibly care less about kcp because he can be more easily replaced but you cant replace jamal easily. And if you think jokic is content doing everything for this garbage team around him offensively, thats wrong. Raznotovic knows whats up. Now, we are hearing that jamal feels disrespected by the front office because he hasnt signed that MASSIVE extension that all-stars should be getting…its about to go down, and it should. Its just a shame jokic is on that boat. For now.😉
They improve there premier defense and the 3 point shooting and with versatility and depth at bench and a coach that actually care they can shock the world with the improvement only if the veteran players still trying to win n mentor this young players is the only thing I’m worried about
I kinda agree I believe the pistons are still gonna be a very bad defensive team maybe improved a tiny bit I also think turning the ball over will be a problem for this team but I think that will be slightly improved as well but the main thing I think is improving is 3 point shooting they were in the bottom 6 in 3P% they have made Additions to help that Malik who shot 41% this season Simone who shot 40% this season Tobias who has shot 37% in his career and Tim who has shot 36% in his career that probably takes them from a bottom 6 three point shooting team to around the middle of the league next year I could see them being 15-18 in three point percentage out of all 30 teams which is a huge improvement but I think a huge improvement for the pistons will be everyone at the end of the East getting worse and them getting better Chicago Atlanta Brooklyn Charlotte Washington and Toronto all getting worse
Russ is not a free agent so money doesn’t matter you gotta trade for him I guess the Heat could send Josh Richardson and a second round pick or 2 to get Russ cause they need a backup PG
Cade, Ivey, Duren, Font., and Harris start. Stewart, Thompson, Sasser, Hardaway, and a free agent center are the 2nd unit. Holland and Beasley get garbage time and other players injuries minutes. 24-58 record if things go well.
my man Malik Beasley is not gonna not play he will be playing he just shot 41 percent from the they want more spacing and shooting Malik brings that I would think Auser starts as well don’t see him coming off the bench the pistons are a poor defensive team in a starting lineup that already has scoring with Cade Tobias Malik you want your best defender in there I fully believe Malik and Auser will be in the starting unit with Cade Tobias and Jalen Duren
@@houstonsportstalk Who is Beasley gonna beat out for minutes??? Jaden Ivey is going to start play 30 plus minutes. The Pistons HAVE TO play Ivey and figure out if they are going to pay him. Beasley can't play the point so Sasser's backup minutes at the point are safe. Beasley is gonna have to beat out Hardaway for minutes or wait till someone gets hurt. Fontecchio is so much better than Thompson or Holland. Fontecchio knocks shots down and defends. Thompson backs him up and Holland goes to the G-League and tries to learn how to shoot a basketball. Pistons just signed Reed so he is the backup center and Stewart is the backup power forward.
sorry man that is not going to happen won’t even happen at any point of the season unless the teams gets injury problems Ron will not start over Tobias Harris is their second best player and he will not start over Auser who is their best defender and I don’t even think he will start over Simone who is one of their better 3 point shooters
the pistons will be better then a 13th seed rn with everyone’s current rosters in the East the pistons are better then the wizards the Hornets the bulls the nets and maybe even the raptors the pistons I think could be the 11th or 10th seed mainly because of how weak the East is
They are trying to add bench depth. Especially a good option that can spell Jokic. Also, MPJ goes cold in the playoffs. They need guys that can step into his role and make shots.
what exactly did he do wrong in Cleveland the only reason he got fired was because Donavan wanted him gone he got fired because of a star players power
i disagree they have a great chance for the play in this is not the same pistons team and people need to realize this they are widely improved with improvement at head coach improvement on defense with Ron and bringing in Veterans who are great three point shooters and scorers like Tobias Harris Tim Hardaway Malik Beasley And Simone and the big for me on this pistons team being better is how weak the East is teams like Chicago Atlanta Brooklyn Washington Toronto and Charlotte if Detroit stays healthy none of those teams have as talented rosters like Detroit does
yea I agree turnovers were issues I think they will calm down a little bit when a younger team gets older they get better with those things but still can be reckless also Tobias doesn’t turn the ball over a lot and some of the vets they have brought in Tobias Tim and Malik are more clean with the basketball
Tobias is a better scorer then Stew and a better facilitator then stew also one guy is the 26M dollar man and the other is making like 3 or 4M so Tobias will definitely be starting for the pistons and stewert will be good off the bench
What a freaking pickup damn I’m a Knick fan . Martin as your sixth man is a huge upgrade over Buddy Heild, and he’s better than your old starter what’s his name…. Tobias Harris. Y’all upgraded the wing position in a major way. Hard to believe Martin took so much less because remember; not only did he turn down an extra two million on paper; but Florida has no state income tax, so he’s losing an additional 2-3.7 million on top of the pay-cut. PER YEAR ! So 4-5/6 million less in take home PER YEAR! to sign with Philadelphia. Thats hard to believe. I wonder if Miami really made that offer, or was it a behind the scenes coordinated effort to let him go while keeping his value high . with the narrative of : (this guy just wants to win, took less money, Miami offered that but he turned it down to be part of a winning team. Even though Miami obviously didn’t want to keep him because they’re about to rebuild Miami style. They don’t like bottoming out they essentially flip assets and sacrifice reliable players for young cheap coachable talent . Tyler hero will get traded before the end of the season and they’ll probably let Jimmy go once his contract expires . ) Martin is a freaking sick pickup as your sixth man . That’s solid. Dude is a legit two way guy with playmaker abilities , could shoot the trey, could play 1-3 an even be a small spread 4 in stretches. F*** !, y’all officially have a well rounded roster . Fml
I’m not a 76ers fan but Caleb Martin is not expected to be their 6th man he’s expected to start at PF even though I love this addition for them but sorry Caleb Martin would not be an upgrade over Buddy Hield if he was going to be the 6th man Buddy played less minutes per game last season then Caleb but still averaged more points and had a way better 3 point percentage and no he is not better then Tobias Harris that’s crazy Tobias averaged 17 and 7 while playing with 2 superstars in Joel and Maxey who averaged a combined 61 points per game out of the 114 the averaged as a team per game also Harris averaged 20 and 8 when Joel was injured that’s a lot better then what Martin did the real Tobias Harris replacement is Paul George and that’s a real improvement I think Caleb Is more of a Nicholas Batum Replacement
@@houstonsportstalk im not a sixer fan either, but I would respectfully disagree. Martín starting at the four will be interesting though I think they have enough offensive firepower in the starting lineup with the addition of Paul George. I would start Kelly at the 4 more size good glue guy, plays with good pace, solid defender, doesn’t need the ball, and fierce competitor. I’d have Kelly with the starting lineup. At times Martin could come in for Kelly early, then stay in for when George needs a breather while bringing Kelly back in, and even stay in for when you sub Tyrese, bringing George back in allowing the sixers the flexibility to give the starters rest without minimizing their minutes or sacrificing efficiency, playmaking ability, and keeping the floor spread for embiid . So I do think he’ll get starter minutes and finish games. As far as three point percentage . Martin shot a higher clip with a higher rate last year. 44% on 5 attempts per game vs Tobias 35% on just 3 attempts per game. Buddy Heild is just a spot up shooter. Caleb has so much more in his bag and is an unselfish player. I’m sorry I respect your opinion but I disagree , Caleb Martin would be a better 6 man than buddy Heild due to his overall game and he’s just flat out a better competitor. The drive and will to win is a competitive trait that often goes unrecognized in this sport. Caleb is a gamer and elevates the level of his play in big games, something we can’t say about Buddy Heild or Tobias Harris.
You are more optimistic on how much this team can improve from last year. Long-time Pistons fan, I'm looking for between 26-30 wins. We have added 3pt shooters to help with the spacing to give Cade more room to operate & should help offensively as a whole. I don' think we have addressed our defensive issues, but there should be improvement with JB. Questions are in abundance with the starting 5 & who will be part of the bench rotation. Will be interesting upcoming season to say the least.
I think 28-36 wins is more realistic it’s not just the pistons improving their roster it’s other teams in the East getting worse like Brooklyn Chicago Atlanta Toronto and Washington you can even add Charlotte to that list so far all of those teams have not improved their rosters actually things have gotten worse for all 6 of those teams but with the pistons they have made actual improvements
@@houstonsportstalk just because you address deficiencies/needs doesn't mean you got better. You can get better on paper, but that always translate to the court. Also in regards to the Pistons, they have not addressed their defensive issues. I know JB has a good reputation in that area, but you need the personnel that can execute too. Doubling our win total minimum would be a solid step forward
pretty sure the pels would want at least a 1st for Brandon and I’m not sure Brandon and Tobias work together in the same starting lineup also you have no back up center if you trade Stew
I’d rather have JB coaching this specific pistons team compared to Monty but Monty is more of an Accomplished head coach also that is false Monty didn’t want a break he was fired at the wrong time with 4 of the 6 head coaching openings being filled LeBron didn’t want Monty cause he wanted a HC he could control and the Cavs decided to go else where those were the 2 only open jobs and he is fit to coach a team but not a pistons team that is not ready yet and still very young and needs help to grow
just looked at it but when they resigned Kelly their was no starting PF or no PG on the team yet and it would be weird having Kelly at SG at 6’7 and then Paul George at SF being 6’8 and then you got Caleb at PF at 6’5
