@@dirtsquadatv2714 just an inconvenient situation where my boy was going to be in the way of someone else no matter what due to getting T-boned and spun around in that corner. Unfortunate.
@@ReelQuadLife Yes. This was the second time for the MOXC series. Final round of this year and the final round of last year. It's only terrible because it's an ORV Park. So most of the track has to be taped. And tons of guys blew the tape and screwed it all up. The tracks where it's mostly woods are far better in that regard. The ORV parks are a challenge.
@@ReelQuadLife it would be great to have you out there. It has been a great series so far. Well organized and great people. Todd and Derek run the series and they do a great job. But it is volunteer based. So if you are willing to get involved and help setup tracks and stuff, it really helps things move along smooth.
@@dirtsquadatv2714 You can thank Brad Garland for that one. He suggested it for something else... And when the boy heard it theyve been begging me to use it for something. This seemed appropriate.
You’re making a video about running on 1 cylinder? Why would anyone with a brain run their banshee at all if it’s on one cylinder!? You sir are a fucking moron
you mentioned youve been defeated on the algorithm. i can agree. they have been beating you up. i like this type of content but it never yields in the search results.
@@RICHYZEE1 it's a cheap potato my son asked for for Christmas. Good for him to learn on and mistreat as expected. Just like a first car.. He really enjoys the video work. And yes, a vest should be a priority.
Going through that issue. Picked up an 06 for $100. Hadn't been running in few years. Sat out back of friends garage. Idk if they knew it was even 2cyl. They actually thought it was a 90cc. Sensor on carb isn't working and bogging under load. Been putting it all back together. Cleaning and getting it back closer to the factory. Want to put 2 cyl tank in . Only for the look. Starting to get little frustrated with the bog but am educating myself to make the proper repairs to get it right. Great video BTW.
@@johnramirez5996 that's a steel brother. I'd grab any blaster for $100 if it had the engine all there. If your engine can still some how rev up, but struggles with a bogg, it may not be this tors issue. So just be careful and patient in your troubleshooting. Check the carb boot (between the carb and the reed cage) for dry-rot cracks under the bottom part by the clamp. A leak in your intake system after the carb can also create a similar bog. So make sure your reed cage isn't cracked, make sure the reeds are sealing properly and check that carb boot for cracks. For the blaster and the banshee, I add a paper gasket and a little gasket maker between the carb boot and the reed cage - I do not trust that factory integrated o-ring in the carb boot. If you take your time to do a leak-down test, it should help to determine if and where a leak may be coming from. Don't give up on that old thing. Keep on wrenching brother.
@@YerzengaPerformance been going through everything I run across. The tors isn't functioning and am ordering new seals and intake boot. Had it apart but reeds seemed ok. Compression is awesome. I have compression tools. Quads aren't the only thing I work on. Snowmobiles cars trucks pretty much everything.
@@d.l.horton2093 yes. Went as far as buying new carb and reeds. You can tell it wants to take off. So I'm putting back all the bypassed wires including the cdi yellow black wire. Starting back to normal with new parts. Even get new fuel shut off with extra fuel jet. Have to check new one . Might be 230. It runs better than before still cuts down then rev throttle with clutch in . Picks up. But not full throttle yet.
@@dirtsquadatv2714 he grabbed one of those big vines and it pulled him sideways. Same thing happened to 160 from C-class a few minutes later. It's a jungle in some of those spots.
@@VermontLife Michigan Off-road Cross Country ATV Racing "MOXC". MOXC started in 2023. This was the 3rd round of the series and the first round that offered a vintage class.
@@Floridawoodsbanshee Thank you sir. I simply could not take the rattle anymore. And most of the banshee guys in our racing series have the rattle too. So I figured there may be some other guys out there that would want to see this simple remedy.
That O ring wears out fast. They sell a cheap repair kit on Amazon for something like 8$. I just matched up the O ring at Ace Hardware and bought a dozen of them. Very easy to replace. I'm not sure why most people don't do it.
I like to get my burs from McMaster Carr. If you do, get one for harder metals like iron and steel. They will last longer as long as you keep them cool during use and rust free when you store them.
I use a combination of my DeWalt 20v grinder and a cordless drill. And the burr I use is from McMaster car. Many options on type of burr. But try to get one for harder metal. It will cost more but will last if you keep it cool and don't put it away rusty.
@@MichiganQuadTrailsTales yeah I love Indian River. Last time I was out there was summer of 22. I was hoping to go back real soon within this month or the next. Want to go?
@@YerzengaPerformance Thanks for the offer, I'm going up in October. And also right now all my Quads are down for one reason, or the other. Waiting on parts. Enjoy your Ride!
I just met a guy who bought a Suzuki 500 two-stroke. The bike was never sold in the United States. He went to London and bought it. Had it shipped here. We might go riding this weekend if it's not raining.
@@Floridawoodsbanshee I was greedy. I wanted my points. That man-powered finish put me on the podium for that race. Big thanks to Todd and Cameron for helping me push. I was exhausted and even that few hundred feet didn't look attractive.
@@Floridawoodsbanshee later figured out my original rubber intake manifold had a reasonable crack in bottom side and was sucking air the whole time. Fried that left side piston.
@@YerzengaPerformance all the trail systems you are riding look amazing. They all are pretty much wide open. Nice deep sand. The whoops are amazing. Deeper the whoops the better. Beautiful trails!!!
@@Floridawoodsbanshee We are racing here this coming Saturday. That's why I went to Gladwin as I knew the terrain would be very similar and good practice. Some other stuff gets tighter and more technical
@@Floridawoodsbanshee The trails we have up in the Black Mountain Scramble area (norther part of the lower peninsula) are pretty darn tight and technical with plenty of rapid elevation changes. I hope to get back out there sometime this year
@@Floridawoodsbanshee This track was actually the most tame in terms of ruts. Quite a few of the other deeper woods tracks get pretty deep after about 3 - 4 laps... With MOXC, we are averaging 100+ quads on this track within the 2 hour race period. So the ruts develop quickly.
I have a whole list of mods for the banshee. I have a wish list and a fix list after every race... One big one has been to get myself a better rear shock. After the woops in Gladwin I just couldn't take it anymore. Another big one is going -2 on the swingarm. That should help even the weight out a little better and improve handling for me as I am not a big guy. New a-arms and front shocks some day... I've been running 450 front shocks for a while now and I really don't have any complaints. They have taken a beating and are still doing well.
@YerzengaPerformance Watch my first video. These are all mods I have been taking into consideration myself. Minus 1, I believe, will be ideal, but I won't know until I get the wire harness. With that being said, my MX build ( shocks ) was set up for tracks, but It was stiff in the trails. Although it was stiff, it actually worked so well. It was the fastest quad/ dirt bike I have ever seen in Florida. Nothing could touch it, and I'm sure now that with the shocks being revalved for dessert racing, it is only going to be better.
@YerzengaPerformance what is your favorite track? I just bought a new trailer. My car gets 30/32 MPG. So I have already been planning on next spring and or summer
