just downloaded the program to play with it before buying a carscope plus, and I can't find the rulers to make measurement..... if you want to measure timing or with in cylinder pressure transducer how do you make measurements?.... thanks
I am constantly having trouble with my touch screen on my car scope Viso not accepting screen input ... in other words it's just dead and no matter what I do whether I reboot it or whether I take the battery out and put it back or whatever I do it's like the screen doesn't respond.

I can't understand why most shops don't do relative compression tests . Way back when Snap On put out the MT-2400 Vantage this could be done with an amp clamp . Or a graphing multimeter , such as a high end Fluke , etc . You don't need the skills of a lab scope . This is tool is even easier . The time and labor to do a compression test , possibly removing the intake plenum , etc. What about seized plugs , broken plugs or baked on wires ? At least you know if a cylinder is low or dead . It's just over $ 300.00 . I just don't get it !

In reality, what purpose would the "gauge" unit have, as it would not be suitable for anything that needed vacuum ? ie. below atmospheric. Surely the Absolute unit would cover everything ?
The PDS500G shows the vacuum. When the pressure at the inlet of the sensor is lower than atmospheric, its output signal is a negative voltage. You can look at the graph at 3:12 minute of this video.
What are the changes they're making to this that required them to not be available at the current time? Just curious as I'd been watching it then went to buy it and it isn't available temporarily I was told.

Well, forget that, with this thing you put it away for a day or two, bring it out to do a job, battery is dead again! Believe me, this will really get on your nerves! Seemingly this unit uses battery, while off??? Useless. After only using the unit twice since February this year(i just put it away in frustration, or want to sell it but give it a second chance and it will let me down again!) I have bought three, better batteries for it, no improvement. These things are getting up to £700 now! Save up that extra 400 for a 4 channel Pico, trust me!

Whatever you're testing with this, be quick! The battery life is horrendous! (It even uses battery life when it's off?) Always try and be near a power supply!

Yes, you may save two file types on inbuilt SD card : 1). VWF - CarScope Viso specific file format that you may open inside the CarScope Viso device and also with CarScope Viso DEMO PC program(Windows) 2). BMP - Bitmap picture on waveform or whole sreen.
