U know what would be cool storyline not for this game but a game where we have Ermac and skarlet as a deadly alliance, they are similar and having a soul and blood mage/powerful characters(which realistically they would be hella powerful with blood and souls being in everyone) working together would be a huge threat, hell if we go with mk9 skarlet origins maybe they could merge and become a god fr, idk just an idea but they are 2 characters who get sidelined
Yeah everyone is too damn nice, like I get having reptile as a good guy I get that but having every other bitch be a good guy makes it boring, I do hope they still would give them depth but knowing NRS most villains are just overlooked
Here's how to fix this story: Havik shows up, challenges Liu Kang to a multiversal Mortal Kombat Tournament. The rules being that Havik can choose anyone from the timelines he has conquered, while Liu is restricted to just his own. Story ends with Havik being banished, but accidentally shoved into a realm between realms, where Onaga is also being held, setting up a second story expansion dubbed "Dragon's Fury", which has the scale (get it, because dragons and stuff?... fuck you, I'm funny) and scope of a full game's story mode.
@@GenerationGamexp I want MK to stick with the tournament. Deviating every so often, like MK3, is fine. But it should be after a tournament or two. By doing it the way I described, it makes a new Mortal Kombat tournament, with new rules, and higher stakes, which is something MK used to be good at. This way it goes, "Shang Tsung wanted to conquer Earthrelm" to "he was working for Shao Khan", to "Shao Khan doesn't play by the rules, because he is a bad guy, and they do not do that" to "here comes lipless despot to go 'lets play by these rules because I am an agent of chaos, and you don't expect that, which wraps right around to being chaotic' again". And the ending would raise the stakes even more, due to Onaga being a much greater threat than Havik.
This is the worst story I've ever seen im my life. It was genuinely hard to finish, and I rolled my eyes the entire time. This was not written by intelligent people. At least all the new characters are fun, and the new animalitys and brutalities are cool.
Dog shit story. No exposition. Not explaining anything. Short as fuck. Every question left unanswered and cyrax and sector are not lead characters. Mk, more like mgay
People are forgetting to mention that Bi Han has a hand attached to his waist. They gave us no explanation as to who's hand that is or why it is there. It must be significant because you can use it in his gameplay and it buffs moves.
It’s good enough for the sequel to really shine and improve but for $50 the dlc is way too short. They need to close the multiverse next game and make it just their universe
What’s weird is for Tanya’s chapter, you fight right by its chamber for the fight with Khaos Kitana and Mileena, but don’t get to fight in front of him, it would’ve looked so good to have Orin in the background as you fight.
Love how every scene with Havik is like: "Havik! You're a bad guy!" "CHAOS" "Havik, Chaos is ba-" "ANARCHY!" "Ok, but you shouldn't--" "CHAOS AND ANARCHY!" "..." "CHANARCHY!"
@@theretrogamingnerd3316 that’s not the only way they bring people back. Characters have died and been resurrected multiple times over. Multiverse didn’t cause that problem, the multiverse could be good but they are not using it effectively and making so many plot holes.
I believe everyone is missing the point of this whole story line and game .. they reset the timeline and actually gave u a real back story of every player. So now they don’t have to make random stories every game that don’t even make sense lol
Was thinking the same however the ending did not satisfy. A guy who can continuously rip his limbs and regenerate, get demolished by noob ( by removing his limbs) and havk just lays there ? Why didn’t he grow back. Why wasn’t he stronger with the kamidogu wtf even happened to him at the end !!???
I tried to watch the cutscenes, I had to stop after the 7 minute mark, the writing is terrible, felt more like a p155 poor soup opera. They need new writers for the games cause this sh1t isn't MK anymore
Yea, this story expansion wasn't it. He wanted to merge all timelines so they could all be forced to fight and he needed Liu Kang's Gerus because apparently he was the ONLY one that had lived in all the previous timelines. The whole multiple universe thing is handled poorly. They'd have been better off flatout bringing Konica back, or just bringing in Onaga...
Mortal kombats narrative is boring, At this point we need a ultimate mortal kombat Armageddon with every character available with a new quest mode and just hang the series up because the story telling is so under whelming
why are they so scared to use onaga lol. just remake the beginning of deception - shang tsung, quan chi and god liu kang vs onaga and make that the whole game
Cant wait for Onaga to come clean up this multiverse mess, fuse all the realms together and steal the souls of all variants just leaving the strongest variant of each fighter so guys like Titan Havik can stick around instead of Liu Kangs Havik. And i want Onaga to win in the end of the story, continue a good story like they did with Shao Khan. MK’s story seems so jacked up now simply bc there’s no genuine story, how do we go from Shao to Shinnok to Kronika to Shang to Havik, makes all the bosses look weak
Damn y’all sexist, it was bad. Ketchup and mustard being girls is not the reason why though, the Multiverse storyline is just overdone at this point and this story only has like an hour and 30 minutes worth of cutscenes and it cost 50 bucks. Add to that, Havik will go down as one of the worst bosses of all time.

@kennyking9347 Nah bruh is right. Cyrax and Sektor only winning against the two flagship poster boys is girl boss bs. Before the gender flip Cyrax and Sektor wouldn't beat sub and scorp in this fashion. The hoes came out of no where and whopped the best chars for simply plot reason and bs.
The thing that gets me most is how the premise and resolution are no different from Invasions. I thought Havik was working towards a goal greater than any one universe. He wanted chaos that would dwarf the Armageddon rehash, but in practice...it's just a gladiator pit. Just imagine a campaign where Havik pit the timelines against one another in a way that actually resembled his end goal of endless conflict, possibly by merging timelines not one-by-one, but all at once. It could even resolve the multiverse by having the result be the survival of only a few timelines. And preferably the final fight would be Geras vs Havik, since Geras is the current keeper of time for the Liuline, and both have regenerative capabilities and could be interesting foils for one another.
I am at least liking how Cyrax and Noob play. While I’m not sure how to feel about how Ghostface and T-1000 will play, I am curious on seeing how Conan will play
