Great player at BU. Made his mark with the devils as a great defensive forward/penalty killer. Hopefully he will be just as great behind the bench for BU.
Back when college hockey was great. I played random leagues against some of these players, and they were very good, obviously Drury, but so many others.
I was a fan of the 1970 Boston Bruins and was hit particularly hard upon finding out Ace Bailey was on one of the planes. Years later I found out a friend of mine knew Mark, who worked and was traveling with Ace. RIP Mark, and Ace.
RIP Mark Bavis (1970-2001) A victim onboard United Airlines Flight 175 which crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center due to terrorist suicide hijacking during 9/11.
@@E40570 I’m making sure those brainless turds are not making up hoax comments about 9/11, anti-Israeli remarks, and FBI and CIA BS. I wasn't born until 2002, but I believe in nothing but the truth according to interviews, eyewitnesses, and phone calls. Make no mistake, those brainless conspirators will not stand a chance.
Bill Hanson... Veteran, Legendary Coach, respected and loved by his players and colleagues. Outstanding career. Accomplished Life. Thank you, Coach Hanson ! Stay healthy and strong.
Little did Bob know that 'Edward' was already a high school hockey legend who would go on to a nice nhl hockey career with the Boston Bruins and present oaach at Harvard. That history degree will. come in handy some day.
This is the best Bud Bowl in my opinion. Why? Because there are no actual humans in this one. And having live action humans with the moving, anthropomorphic beer bottles and cans is just weird. It makes me think that one day I’ll go outside and say hi to a human sized bottle of Coors light walking his pet dog down my sidewalk.
I grew up with Bavis brothers I just figured out how to tell em apart , and it was more than skin deep its hard tobdescribe it was more about how they spoke subtle things butvbothbwere great kids Mike stayvstrong
I'm a lifelong friend of Billy Pierce who was injured for this game and didn't get to play. I also played street hockey with Jay Pandolfo. This team was great.
Wow, and now I feel fricking ANCIENT...🤣 Thanks for sharing this! Amazing seeing UofM v LSSU at Yost and hearing names I forgot I knew like Mark Quimet, and "hobey hopeful" Denny Felsner! Thanks again, really cool.
Frozen Four that year was in St Paul at the old Civic Center and this was the title game as ESPN didn’t do the semifinals then. Northern Michigan beat Boston University 8-7 in 3 OT to win the title that year. Jim Rich (who now is at KMSP in Minneapolis and does St Cloud State home games) is doing the interview
I remember this. It was a short feature aired during the March 30, 1991, Div I final between the Northern Michigan University Wildcats and the Boston University Terriers. Always wanted to see this again. Here it is. Thanks.
The Frozen Four games from the late 1980s to the early 2000s were so much more entertaining than the games in recent years. The crowds were bigger and more into the games, the contending teams were more offensive-minded, and nothing beat Tom Mees calling overtime goals up until his passing in 1996.
Great video. You don’t see transition goals like this much anymore. Now it’s throw the puck at the net and hope the goalie doesn’t see it through a maze of sticks and bodies.
