@@Boykeeplays I think it’s better for animation, but worse fr 3D modeling. There are just certain tools and add-ones that Maya has that Blender doesn’t, but it’s still very much possible to make high quality animations with Blender too. And Blender’s free so it has that going for it too.
The water and the ocean breeze sounds at the beginning, it wasn't shows in the final product of the fandub of sonic 06. Did you make it or its actually an extended part of the fandub?
It definitely wasn’t a part of the audio for the fan dub. I would’ve had to get it from somewhere else, but safe for the animation data, I don’t really have the source files anymore. I’m pretty sure I remember getting the audio from another youtube video.
I used blender 2.79 for the animation and rendered it in the cycles engine of blender. The actual animation quality isn’t up to par compared to what I’m doing for school now, since I mainly let the computer do the work for the in-betweens. There’s a lot of obvious problems with this short, but yeah thats how I did it. If you’re looking to get into animation, I’d recommend Animschool. It’s helped me improve a lot.
I tried looking up a gif to compare, but I couldn’t find one. I tried looking at gameplay, but everyone seems to be constantly using the dash. From the little I’ve seen, it seems as tho their run cycle is slightly slower than mine, but I see the overall resemblance.
