A reaction channel for all things worth reacting to! Music You've Never Heard of, Trailers, videos, and whatever else I can find. May swerve off into crazy territory. Seat belts recommended but not required!
Dan sang the last half of this with so much power!!!! It was just amazing,.I noticed that his body looked like a coiled spring that really wanted to be free. Fortunately the second verse was soon to come and he could release all that power . Those words rang out like the voices of triumphant angles praising God.
There are a lot of metaphors and poetic images in the songs of the Kino. There are no direct meanings. All the lyrics can be interpreted in different ways.
It’s one year later from when you posted this and Dan now has over 1 MILLION subscribers! He truly is the best singer on the planet. This song really got him noticed. I’ve listened to it so many times and am moved to tears each time - especially when watching reactors see it for the first time. ❤️
I watched this for your reaction to Dan's version of Angels We Have Heard on High and ended up discovering that crazy Dropkick Murphy's Christmas song, too. I'm adding that one to my list for this coming Christmas. Lol. As for Dan, what can you say? He's awesome & so are his Christmas songs! If you search RU-vid for "Dan Vasc Christmas lights display," you'll discover the channel that put his version of this song to a fantastic Christmas lights display. I seem to recall them doing the same with another of his songs, as well. Since you mentioned Handel's Messiah, please check out Dan's Hallelujah Chorus (One Man Choir) in which he literally is the entire choir. It will blow your mind. 24 "Dan's" separated into all 4 vocal sections...but there are over 250 vocal layering takes to accomplish this incredible feat. It's a feast for your ears with some "Dan humor" mixed in. Thanks for supporting Dan Vasc. Looking forward to seeing you react to more.😊
Just found this channel tonight and enjoyed the Hagane vid - thanks! They weren't on my radar but now they are! I've zero idea if a recommendation post here would be interesting to anyone here or not but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. Some great instrumentation here even if an oldish track and there are loads of newer videos and drum specific ones on their main channel. This was my entry point into Ling to Shite Shigure: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iwiVuYxJFYs.html
They are a Swedish band (NOT German) .. like so many other great bands and music producers from here 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪 Look up for example : Ghost, Sabaton. Arch Enemy, Max Martin, ABBA, Roxette, Zara Larsson, Europe, Ace of Base, The Cardigans, The Hives, they list can go on and on and on…sooo many bands and producers that make all todays music hits in all genres ! 🤘🌹🤘
As a massive "Kino" fan for over 30 years, I want to thank you for your insightful review and the heartfelt interest and love it conveys. Great job! Thank you 🙏🏻👏🏻❤️
They are from Sweden. They went to the Swedish equivalent of Julliard. A LOT of electronic enhancement. Note nobody else is singing and there are harmonies. Remember this is a video, not an actual performance. They play with a second keyboard player who also sings and likely enhancing tracks. However, they are 3 of the best musicians in the world and there is nothing wrong with using whatever tools are available. Generations after mine hear with their eyes more than their ears. I was 30 when MTV debuted! Get their albums, put on headphones, and prepare to be blown away. I started playing in 1959 and I have never heard anything like this.
Wow! I am from the "Soviet Union", and I know Kino and Tsoy well. I am writing here because I really loved your analysis of the song and the lyrics. I like that you started the analysis of the song with the lyrics and the meaning. Thanks to your analysis, even I heard in the song and in the words something that I may not have paid attention to before. It is nice to see such deep-thinking person. Thank you!
The second part is describing battle for freedom in imagery of a street fight - brass knuckles, forheads smushed etc. A lot of blood. (But it's not just blood - there's poison in the veins of those fighting, a slow poison, it torments them, it's easier for them to fight to let the blood out along with the poison than to endure it inside). Then the song show the image of the result of this fight - the world is destroyed, the foreheads are smushed, some people are crying, some people are silent in terror or sorrow, but some people are glad, enjoying other people suffering. "Bread broken in half" means, that two people (probably comrades in this war for freedom) are sharing the little of bread they have in respite between fights.
"Seeds fell in dirt. Seeds are asking for rain. They need rain." It means that "it has already begun, you cannot stop it, seeds are already in the ground and after the rain they will start to grow, there is nothing you can do about it. it is heppenning. but you can be the rain, that they need, you can help them grow", the next words build up a sense of urgency - "inside my chest is a fire ("все горит огнем"), it hurts, I can't stand it, I must act right now, and you should too, it's no time for looking for keys, you have to break in through this door by force. and this sense of urgency is in everyone, it is like illness, it is spreading and makes everyone go crazy". I think that seeds are the seeds of long awaited freedom, in late 80th something started too change in USSR, the old oppresion system was crambling appart, seed of freedom were growing through it, tearing it apart, it was not something calm and beautifull, it was frightening, you didn't know what would happen, only that you and everyone were waiting with impatience when the old system collapsed despite calateral damadge.
