Dear Dr. Fatouhi, thank you. I learned and benefitted. There should also be a correlation of 7 years of plenty of water followed by 7 years of drought during the Hyksos rule in Egypt and the Near East in general. Further, similar behavior can be observed in today’s Pharaoh, the Supreme leader of The Islamic Republic of Iran where swaths of people are prevented from leaving the country where they are feared to then organize outside of the country and return to remove the Supreme Leader and his people. Lastly, you are paying close attention to the choice of words in the Quran in understanding historic events to provide further evidence of authenticity of the claim of Quran about itself that it is from God the Lord of all there is but you are not paying attention to the words where it has direct relevance to your behavior and direct salvation.

Furthermore they have been replaced by the Ummah of Prophet Muhammed (salallaahu alaihi wasalam) "You are best of peoples ever raised up for mankind, you enjoin good, forbid evil and believe in Allah.." AND THERE IS A CONDITION: Provided that we enjoin good forbid evil and believe in Allah! The concept of “favour” is not sufficient to explain chosenness. Five different relevant terms need to be considered. “Favour” is not the critical term. It is a general concept and does not imply “chosenness”. Translations of the Qur’an increase this conflation of different terms. Also, the nation of the Prophet ﷺ did not replace the chosen people. You are making the common mistake of conflating “chosen” and “best”. I explain this in the video. You may want to watch the video to understand these points.

G-d gave a portion of the Holy Land to the children of Ishmael. Based on Zohar Shemot 32A ------ [R. Hiyya then says] Woe is to the time that Ishmael was born into the world and was circumcised. What did G‑d do [to appease Ishmael]? He distanced the children of Ishmael from supernal cleaving and gave them [only] a portion below in the Holy Land on account of their circumcision. And in the future, the children of Ishmael are destined to rule over the Holy Land for a long time when it is empty from anything, like their circumcision which is empty and imperfect. And they will prevent the children of Israel from returning to their place until the reward for the merit of the children of Ishmael reaches completion. The children of Ishmael [i.e. the Arab nations] will cause great wars in the world and the children of Edom will gather against them and wage war against them, one on the sea, one on the dry land, and one near Jerusalem. And they [the children of Edom] will rule over them [the children of Ishmael], but the Holy Land will not be given over to the children of Edom. [The children of Edom is the Christian West, for Edom is Rome (see Num. 24:19, Rashi) and Rome signifies Greece-Rome and the Roman Catholic Church, the foundations of Western Civilization] ----------- It had already been prophesied in the Bible that the descendants of Ishmael/Arabs shall administer the Temple Mount/Jerusalem. Isaiah 60:7 "All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory." All the flocks of Kedar - On the word 'Kedar,' see the notes at Isaiah 21:16. The Kedarenians were a wandering tribe that frequently changed their residence, though it is probable they usually dwelt in the south part of Arabia Desert, or the north of Arabia Petraea. They are mentioned as dwelling in beautiful tents Sol 1:5 : 'I am black, but comely as the tents of Kedar,' see Psalm 120:5; compare Isaiah 21:16-17; Isaiah 42:11. The language here also means that that which constituted their principal wealth would come and enrich Jerusalem. The rams of Nebaioth - Nebaioth was also a son of Ishmael Genesis 25:13; 1 Chronicles 1:29, and was the father of the Nabatheans. They were a people of Arabia Petraea, and lived principally by plunder, trade, and the keeping of flocks. The country of Nabathea extended, it is supposed, from the Euphrates to the Red Sea, and embraced Petra, the capital of Arabia Deserts, and also Medaba. It is not possible, however, to fix the exact boundaries of the various tribes of Arabians. The general idea is, that their most valuable possessions would be devoted to God. Dome of the Rock is the Third Temple. There are some interpretations of the Bible that suggest that the construction of the Dome of the Rock is prophesied in the Book of Daniel. Specifically, some people believe that Daniel 12:11 is a prophecy about the building of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." [Daniel 12:11] It is a heresy/unholy to think that Jews shall administer Temple Mount/Jerusalem as it had been clear in the Holy scripture that descendants of Ishmael/Arabs had been ordained by G-d to administer Jerusalem/Temple Mount.

You are treating the Hebrew Bible as a reliable reference and assessing the Qur’an accordingly. This methodology is flawed. You need to read about the history of the Bible to learn when and how it was put together.
@allanwilliams2079
@allanwilliams2079 5 месяцев назад
@@louay.fatoohi The Hebrew Bible together with the Greek New Testament is the only reliable source. Thus, it is the reliable reference. Have you ever truly considered: why are there five books of the law, which cross references each other? And, that this methodology is maintained, throughout the whole compilation? Do you consider the languages used for the transmission of the information contained in the bible? Do you notice how these fulfill the purpose for which they are required and that there is no real problem with translation among them? Learning when and how the Bible was put together does not affect its authenticity: for the Bible tells us when and how it was put together. It is the... how is it possible that this compilation was able to be put together, with such precision: which determines the Bible to be authentic. (You refuse to correctly state what the Bible presents: then you accuse it, of having faults. Can you refuse to install the windows, required for a specific house, and then be truthful, when you say that the house is completed??) The methodology of the Quran is flawed. It has no testimonies. It therefore cannot make any cross references. The Quran stands as one book: in isolation. The Quran cannot present truth. (In the mouth of two or more witnesses a thing is established.) (A witness is someone who was present, at the time of the happening of an event, and acknowledged the happening of that event.) [The Quran claims to speak, to and of, people, places, and things that have all been made public, before it began to exist.] What the Quran is unable to do is to provide tangible evidence, of the way, in which it is associated, with the God who is responsible, for the compilation of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament, the original source of the information, about the people, places, and things which the Quran claims to speak to and of.]

@@allanwilliams2079 You are making two fundamental mistakes. First, you are conflating faith with history and reality. You have the right to believe what you like about the Bible. But you do not have the right to use faith to deny, change, or obfuscate basic facts. Faith is personal; history is not. Second, you cannot defend the Bible by criticising the Qur’an. The countless academics who have led historical criticism of the Bible were not Muslims. They were mainly Jews, Christians, or other Westerners. They did not use the Qur’an to conclude the Bible contains numerous historical errors, inaccuracies, contradictions, and inconsistencies. Neither did they use the Qur’an to affirm that the Bible is the product of a centuries-long process of writing and editing that involved numerous people. It is simply that their indisputable findings about the unreliability of the Bible confirmed what the Qur’an had said over thirteen centuries earlier.

@@louay.fatoohi Every large project has its own conventions, which enables it to establish itself, as what it is, and to give it an identity, which is not like any other. The Bible is no different. This question can be and should be asked at all times: is the bible always considered, as a large project, with its own conventions, which must be adhered to, in order to identify it and get the whole of what it is, when it is being perused?? [If you do not follow the conventions of the Bible, it is incorrect to say that you speak the truth concerning the Bible.] The conventions of the Bible determines whether or not you have The Bible. (Faith, or lack thereof do not make nor can change conventions.) (Conventions are reality: when they are recorded, they are history.) If you do not follow the required conventions which governs a thing, you can and most often will deny, change, and obfuscate basic facts. [Now, I have not criticized the Quran to defend the Bible. In the video, you spoke to both the Bible and the Quran. Can they provide the source of information, beside which they have juxtaposed the Bible, to prove its numerous historical errors, inaccuracies, contradictions, and inconsistencies? The Bible itself states that it is the product of a centuries-long process of writing that involved numerous people. Can they point out any other book which has been written in like manner to it?? @@allanwilliams2079 The term “project” implies a project management process of setting clear objectives, setting a timeline, selecting a team, defining roles for team members, planning, and coordinating. This is the exact opposite of the history of what ended up being the canonical Bible. Its history is one of chaos, an undefined and unmanaged timeline, conflicting objectives, random contributions, numerous anonymous contributors, and zero planning. Also, it is not a matter of me being nice and responding to your comments. Your comments ignore basic indisputable facts that have been established by numerous researchers. I cannot replace or do better than the countless books and research papers that have been published on the Bible by historians, theologians, linguists, archaeologists, and others. Furthermore, the commenting feature on RU-vid is not a replacement for reading books and research publications. While it is common for users of social media to try to engage in supposedly serious discussions to answer as big questions as whether there is a god, whether the Bible has errors or not, whether the Qur’an was written by Muhammad (PBUH) or revealed by God…etc, this makes absolutely no scientific or learning sense. A video such as the one you are commenting on “presumes” that the Bible is inaccurate…etc; it does not set out to prove this. It also “presumes” that the Qur’an is accurate; it does not try to prove this. What it tries to show, however, is the superiority of the history and theology of the Qur’an over their equivalents in the Bible. Finally, I would strongly recommend that you read a book such as “A History of the Bible: The Book and Its Faiths” by John Barton, who is an Anglican priest and theologian, or “Forged”, by Bart Ehrman, who is an atheist. There are many other books by outstanding scholars that deal critically with the history of and in the Bible and its theology from various angles. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and commenting.

Zionism is the "new gods"... Muslims do not hate the Jews or Children of Israel. The fact that Jews or Children of Israel are addressed directly so often in the Qur'an should tell us something. Allah wants to address Jews, to give them dawah [the message], to give them the Qur'an, instead of having stereotypes about them. Islam doesn’t allow stereotypes. Everyone is equal in the eyes of Allah, and the only thing that makes some people better than others is Taqwa [faith/belief]. In the Bible, Joshua 21:43-44 states: “So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass”. This passage suggests that the Israelites had already taken possession of all the land that God had promised to their forefathers even before the creation of modern State of Israel. So where is the second promise from God that stated Jews can repossess all land of Palestine? The idea only originated from Zionist Jews. The promise of land belonging to the Children of Israel is never permanent. It comes with conditions: “Surely, following the ˹heavenly˺ Record, We decreed in the Scriptures: “My righteous servants shall inherit the land.” (Qur'an 21:105) Psalm 37:29 states that “The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever”. This passage is often interpreted as a promise of God’s blessing for those who live righteously. It is believed that the righteous will be rewarded with a place in the land of Israel, which is often referred to as the “promised land”. Similarly, G-d is sovereign over the nations and history. He raises up and brings down kings and empires according to His will. He uses human agents, even pagan ones, to accomplish His purposes. He is the Lord of hosts, who controls the armies of heaven and earth (Jeremiah 1:15; 25:9; 27:5-7; 32:17) If Zionists claim that G-d had given the land of Palestine to the Jews is true, then why Abraham had to negotiate with the Hittites to purchase a burial plot for his wife, Sarah [Genesis 23]? Why didn't Abraham just take the land like the Zionists did? The so-called "promised land" was given to descendant of Abraham - Isaac only. Likewise, descendants of Ishmael never lay claim to land of Arabia! In addition, Moses and his followers did not enter the "promised" land due to their disobedience. Qur'an 7:128 states: Said Moses to his people, “Seek help through Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.” Jews are no longer G-d chosen people. The Israelites did not keep their part of the covenant. Here is the evidence: Jeremiah 31:31-34: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” It had already been prophesized in the Bible that the descendants of Ishmael/Arabs shall administer the Temple Mount/Jerusalem. The second Temple had been completely destroyed as predicted by Jesus in Luke 21:5-38. For 500 years or more, it had been left in ruins by the Jews. When Umar Ibn al-Khattab, the second caliph of Islam, captured Jerusalem in 638 CE, there was not a single Jew in Jerusalem. Now, as prophesized by Isaiah, Jerusalem is administered by descendants of Ishmael/Arabs. "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." [Daniel 12:11] Rabbi Isser Weisberg of Machon Mishne Torah in Lakewood, explained that the “appalling abomination” spoken about in the Book of Daniel is the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, which was completed in the year 692. Counting 1290 (a thousand two hundred and ninety) years from the completion of the Dome of the Rock “you get 1982 and the 1335 (one thousand three hundred and thirty-five) ends in 2027. So that’s the window (1982-2027) when the Moshiach has to come.” This may confirmed the Qur'anic message. In Qur'an 17:104 says "And We said to the Children of Israel after Pharaoh, “Reside in the land, but when the promise of the Hereafter comes to pass, We will bring you all together.” The modern state of Israel was promised by British and its allies and not by G-d. In ancient Israel, G-d had prepared Moses for 80 years to lead His people Israel. 1948+80= 2028 may be the complete systematic dismantling of the modern state of Israel by God All-mighty. It is a heresy/unholy to think that Jews shall administer Temple Mount/Jerusalem as it had been clear in the Holy scripture that descendants of Ishmael/Arabs had been ordained by G-d to administer Jerusalem/Temple Mount. In Hebrew Bible, Devarim 32:17 reads as follows: "They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had come recently, whom your ancestors had not feared". The medieval commentator Ibn Ezra suggested that the “new gods” mentioned in this verse were actually the gods of foreign nations that the Israelites had come into contact with. "new gods" is today's Zionism. Zionism is a nationalist movement that emerged in the 19th century to enable the establishment of a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine. The movement initially emerged in Central and Eastern Europe as a national revival movement in the late 19th century, both in reaction to newer waves of antisemitism and as a consequence of Haskalah, or Jewish Enlightenment. Since the establishment of Israel, Zionism became an ideology that supports “the development and protection of the State of Israel”. One cannot deny that the conflicts in the middle-east is caused by the Zionism movement and the violations of the 3 Oaths made by the Jews found in the Talmud (Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5, 8:4): The Oaths: First Oath: Israel should not ascend to the land in a wall (i.e., en masse or forcefully). Second Oath: The Holy One adjured Israel not to rebel against the nations of the world. Third Oath: The Holy One adjured the nations not to oppress Israel excessively. Jews worldwide are now paying the price for the violations of the 3 Oaths Zionism ("new gods") is only around 100 years old. It is the transformation from religion to nationalism, to materialism created by non-religious Jews who hated their religion. The reason why they use the name Israel, the Star of David, hijacking, stealing the identity of Judaism and the Jewish people is in order to gain a legitimacy for their existence that should lead people to say, 'oh, it is God given to them' and that they should use fear and intimidate people from speaking out against their actions because they will call those that do anti Semitic; it couldn't be anything further from the Truth. Leviticus 26:18 “And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.” Qur'an 62:5 "The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people."

Salam Alaykoum dear Dr Fatoohi, A remarkable work of craftsmanship, and always very interesting topics in the field of interreligious dialogue, or more specifically the comparison between biblical and Quranic narratives. I wanted to ask you about this theme of the covenant : What does this covenant consist of precisely? Is it about the relationship between an individual and/or a people (an aspect you have dismissed regarding the collective) and God, or does it concern an underlying aspect, and therefore the land, particularly what is called "the promised land"?

My argument is that the covenant was first with Abraham but it referred to some of his ancestors as also being imams (prophets) while the rest of his descendants as the recipients of the favour of being the host of those prophets. Insha Allah, I will expand on this further when I do a video on the Children of Israel. I intentionally separated the two videos to stress that the covenant with those exceptional individuals is not the same as the one with the Children of Israel as a nation, although the covenant of the latter is derived from the former. Hopefully, this will be made clear in the next video, insha Allah.

Plus 'Suhuf Ibraheem' may well refer to apocryphal works like the Testament of Abraham or the Apocalypse of Abraham, which were written after the time of the Bible (though possibly as early as the NT) but would certainly have been around in the Quran's time.

The content of the suhuf of Ibrahim as mentioned in the Qur'an has no similarity to the Testament of Abraham. May this or may that is no research methodology.

"Why the Israelites? There is no explanation" You literally just read the explanation. It says that God chose Israel to fulfill His promises to the Patriarchs, and also to remove the evil nations. You also claimed there were no conditions for the covenant God made with Abraham, when the same passage told you he and his community must be circumcised. And then when Israel as a whole entered into the Mosaic covenant with God, there were many laws and commandments they had to follow ("613" according to Jewish tradition), far more than Abraham ever did. The reality is literally the opposite of what you claimed about the Israelite covenant being just "a gift." Israelites as a whole had to keep the Covenant or be condemned by God: Deuteronomy 4:23, Deuteronomy 28:58-9. And further you claim that the Covenant came out of nowhere, when in fact we know that Abraham entered into a covenant with God because he had shown his trust in and faithfulness to Him and because he left everything he knew for God's sake: Genesis 12:1-4, Genesis 15:6. And Muslims have most certainly used the Quran and hadith as a justification for colonialism and imperialism.

Your analysis completely support my translation which I did based on the rhythm of the sound of the Quran answering how day of judgment belief get lost which was not a natural process to begin with: Quran Chp 5 Verse 64: And the Jews say [in the defence of devouring unlawful], "The hand of Allah is tight-fisted ." No, their hands are tight-fisted, and they are cursed for what they said. His hands are wide open; He spends how He wills [Quran 5:66]. And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord [O prophet] will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. And [in a likewise manner] We have cast among them animosity and hatred for the Day of Judgment [Quran 6: 14]. Every time they kindled the fire of war [on the Day of Judgment belief], Allah extinguished it. And they strive throughout the land spreading corruption, and Allah does not like corrupters. Quran Chp 5 Verse 65: And if only the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allah, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them to Gardens of Pleasure. Quran Chp 5 Verse 66: And if only they divinely [using Quran as mask] canonize [establish] the Torah and the Gospel and what was revealed to them from their Lord, surely they would have eaten from above them and from beneath their feet [open handed provision for them]. Among them are a moderate community but most of them - evil is what they do.

I suppose that I heard you mentioned the land of the palestine that God told the children of Israel to go and occupied it right... And if I may ask, when did the name palestine first came out and which land was the land of the palestine in the Cannan's land? Because the Amalekites were the ones occupying the land of Cannan of which they wen't and attacked the children of Israel on their way out of Egypt to the promise land of Cannan, meaning that they weren't palestinians because God later sent King Saul to get rid of the Amalekites that was in the same land of Cannan through Prophet Sammuel because of what they did to the children of Israel. And so, when did the palestinians dropped into the Cannan's land? Is it after the Ottoman Empire, or of the Persian and the Greek's Philistine that fought with the Israel..? Because I don't really know what I supposed to be learning from the people that their own very Qur'an that they're depending on actually described them to be the illiterate of the book!

My dear Muslim friends: it can be both at the same time. God is like a father who is coaching his son to take over the family business. 1. The son will take over the business (this is promised) 2. The son will have to learn to obey the rules and be decent (this is the work in progress) Israel has been kicked out and brought in several times and God will require Israel to humble themselves. God has already seen the end from the beginning. The journey has some people confused.

So you're saying God who is God's son became a man, was killed by his own creation in a ritual of human sacrifice, then went to hell for three days, all because his father wasn't willing to forgive us of our sins like he used to do normally in the Old Testament without all this trouble and running in circles. Sure...
