I listened to this 8 years ago a few times right before The Last Spire came out. Totally forgot about it until now. It just popped up. Still kills.... Listening to Cathedral actually turned me on to the "Blind Dead" films back in '95-'96 with "Night of the Seagulls" being the first song i heard about them. I got a chance to meet Lee Dorrian in Atlanta for The 7th Coming album and talked about some of their songs inspired by old horror movies. Great memories.... Never thought I'd get to see them live let alone meet Mr. Dorrian. Really good dude 👍 ✌🤘
So this wasn’t on the album. First I’ve heard this song. Definitely Cathedral. Very cool. I think at this point when we hear the “unreleased” stuff you hear why when you notice buts and pieces of other songs which obviously were the end result of all the work. It would be kinda odd to listen to The Last Spire and hear full tilt sections of other songs in one song. Such are the decisions of artists. It still amazes me how musicians cam have a riff or whatnot in their heads, play it a few times, and the. use it much later as part of a song. To me it would seem to be just dig in and write the whole song at one time, modifying it later. But alas, that’s why I’m not a world famous musician huh?
Look at me I rip bongs and listen to fart noise cause I suck at life. We should just grow nothing but weed fruits and veggies are for wussirs dude yeah hell yeah badass wicked

i'm a huge dark jazz fan. i've really been getting so in to it lately. i read about it on the internet the other night. i'm all about now dude. probably the best music that i've ever heard all within the 3 days. i'm the biggest fan of both of these bands since last week. combined it is like "woo dude" this is the most awesome music situation
This has the potential to be one of the greatest albums of all time. Ulver, with their unique touch to everything and the creativity. And Sunn O))), with theirs.... Very excited to see how this comes out.
