Happy to see that your both alive on facebook, but what I can't understand; Why didn't you inform your subscribers on YT about what you are doing at this moment? It's not respectful. Because many people here on YT were concerned about what happened with you both.
I'm a Dutch Southeast Asian who was born here and i totally agree on these things, except for the cheese. There's such a huge variety in the Netherlands, don't just get stuck on the Gouda. 😊
If the siren would go off, you have to go inside and close all windows and turn on the radio to listen to the local radio station what to do. That's why it's important to have an emergency radio and already set that to the local station. If kids are in school at that time, they stay in school. If you are outside too far from home, you ask the houses there if you can come in. If you see someone who hasn't heard the siren you have to tell them about it.

She was completely worn and torn, had to in fact be rebuilt from keil up, and Dutch did she became the symbol of the Netherlands after the war, persistance and endurance an she became the first liner with almost no segrgataion between 3rd and second class, had arico on board as first, had as second cinema, as first an indoor-outdoor swimingpool.. She kept making profits when the Jets flew to the USA faster, and was updated in the 1950's, 1960's 1970,s .. she was named The Darling of the Dutch.. When she took her last official voyage she was fully booked, and the video ends with.. The Dutch didn't aim fo rhte fastest ship on the north Atlantic, neither was he the largest one... she was just a damn good ship. Don't need the biggerst or fastest.. just good gave her the edge over the Queen Mary, Normandy, Ile de France, Andrea Doria.... 9:28 But Eric, where in otyher video's you like the family bussinnesses... these will be gone thanks to the mega supermarkets you like in the usa...they destroy and eat up the one family shops of the neighbourhoods... and the open 24/7... we Dutch like our work/life balance.... You don't like to work in the middle of the night, neither do we.. Humans are day creatures, night is for sleep, not work.. Exceptions there ofcourse as in emergency services.. but buy a salad at 2 am...ridiculous.. And the hours have to be payed double by the employer, making the personell work these hours..
Netherlands don't need airco, it isn't hot like Southern Caliifornia.. and window open gives fresh air...air from a closed system is not health y at all...
The rijsttafel is probably the best that ever happened to the Dutch kitchen. But nobody in Indonesia knows this. Back in the days the servants would ask the colonists: what would you like tonight? They would always say: do it all. Nowadays only one restaurant in Jakarta will do this.

Indeed guys, the bigger your home is the more you keep in boxes and storagerooms. Never look at it but miss it when it is gone. Very recognizable problem😂👍
I really like your honesty. But we Dutch can not afford the direct renting house you live in. We wait on the list for over 8 years before we get a chance to rent something within our possibilities.
Corrupt as hell. 4500 euros investment? All over Europe there is discussion about countries that charge at least, minimum, 500000. Mostly way more. And you Americans have put Europe under pressure via intimidation, threat and exclusion and can just come in whenever you like. We prefer you guys over many other people and nations but this smells 😂👊👍 keep up the good work

And there is medication that is Rx AND HEEL expensive in the USA that is over the counter in theNetherlands, for instance Zoverax. And some things over the counter there are much higher quality, for example hydrogen peroxide. == re your sore throat. If you had only known about the "Chinese drugsotre" medicines "over the counter" ie that grandma knows about. It would kill your cold while Nyquil only supresses symptoms. I dont know but I think if you had gone to Dutch medicine, probably a nurse or a PA, then they would have suggeted what is done there. A nasal wash is a gret idea, or drop of oregano in the back of your throat. You say they smoke. I will add that they smoke marijuana with tobacco. If someone offers you a hit, be aware it will be mixed with tobacco.
Don’t move to the netherlands please! The weather is awfull! It rains all the time, its cold, people are moody!! But serious why trust an american about living in the netherlands? And if you really want to live here (the weather is awfull remember!!) Here are some tips! - Amsterdam is just a city! Its not the rest of the country - we are a free country with loose rules but the rules we do follow… we follow them by the letter! Most of them are not written down, its just cummon sence (just don’t be an asshole) - learn the language!!! And last but not least… - learn the f@@kling language!!

I am from Dutch parents lived in Canada my whole life but my parents were through and through Dutch and you have never seen a woman that cooked as well as my Mom, she only made Dutch food, so i disagree completely, she was famous for her soup and it was to die for literally, everything she made turned to gold and she cooked with very minimal spices but my goodness she was insane with her amazing food. Fresh everything and cooked to perfection. All my Aunts were exactly the same. My Oma as well so sorry i disagree.
Do love the humour in your presentations. I’ve been there, Eric. Thank God for the NHS, here in the U.K. Had my first heart attack in 1994 and still here, at age 80. I had Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, the first time. Followed up by stents, some years later. Cost to me? Zero, zilch, nada. Signed off work, permanently. Not living a life of luxury but getting by. Now on state pension plus small private ones. So glad I live in one of the civilised countries. Chin up, old chap, I’m living proof that it is possible to have a full life, after the event. My son jokes (not entirely joking) that he wishes he had a social diary like mine😂.
The stairs are terrible I remember from visiting many times relatives in the 70’s. Flowers were everywhere and cheap. The food amazing and sweets. I love the Dutch people. If you ain’t Dutch you ain’t much is what my parents always said. Lol. I’m envious I would love to move there I just don’t think I could handle the awful weather
As a kid I just got the explanation: this us a test of the alarm system. Now you know the sound, and they now know the thing works. No drill, not much of a history lesson. Probably briefly mentioned during history classes on WWII. My mother (lived through WWII Rotterdam) would add: find a radio set it on NPO1 and listen out. I teach my kids just the test-part.
