I'm Robbie from RJW Customs, I've been within the automotive industry all my adult life so tune in and follow my journeys within that world. On my channel you will find videos of me playing around with project cars in my garage including my Chevelle and just general automotive lifestyle. On top of that will be content about the products we sell and some of the fabrication work we do.
Some of the Alloy wheel Brands we offer are: Rotiform, American Racing, Us Mags, Fuel Offroad, Xd Wheels, KMC, Niche, Motegi, Radi8, JR Wheels, Black Rhino.
Hi, so 700r4 with a shift kit but other than that standard. Engine wise it's a 350 small block, 4 bolt mains, stock bottom end as far as I'm aware, comp cams xe268h camshaft, with matching valve springs. Stock heads but some one at some point has had a go at porting them. Edelbrock dual plane I take, 750 cfm holley vacuum secondary carb, electronic ignition, hedman shorty headers. I think that's about it
Nice. I was thinking peak power would be around the 290 mark so that's probably around 350-360 at the crank, which is a really nice street engine. Well done on dialing it in within 10% too. Did you change the timing at all to see if it pushed the numbers a little higher?
Cheers roger! Yeah I wqs happy with how I got it, yeah we played with the timing a bit, initially we advanced it a touch and gained a little bit up top, then we retarded it a bit oast were I had it and thays where it gained the most up top but also all the extra it gained down low and across the board
Hi, if you did it with it live and it saw the airbag not connected at any point, the stored code will put the airbag light on until it is cleared using diagnostic software
You deserve a follow.. I've followed this account From all the members at home . Took their fones and I subscribed your channel ☺️😅 I wanna see more coming 👀
You could have moved it lower once you made the new pipes and fittings. Most of the intercooler is now covered. Additionally, the flow is worse when it is pressed against the bumper.
Yes I agree I could have moved it lower down but this was the simplest and cleanest option, yes it's maybe not in the most optimum position but it will still be getting plenty of air flow. Otherwise 90% of cars on the road there radiators would only be working at 50% as they are behind bumpers
Hi RJW , if i already have cruise control on my multi function steering wheel and I upgrade the steering wheel with the ACC button can that be coded in or is it more involved? Many Thanks.
Thank you, patience was definately the key thing needed. I reckon once you've done it a few times you will start to get the hang of it and have more of an idea what way to go with setups to get it right!
Thanks for the reply, just done mine same as you (so didn’t touch the fuel pump) can I ask how stiff should it be to turn the shaft, I need a pair of pliers to turn it, I was worried so I took it apart again but it’s all fine, however as soon as I tighten up the four bolts on the vacuum section it gets quite stiff?
Just caught up with this.... Awesome day. At 7:44, quality burn out!! Cant beat the sound, smell and sheer power. Was there earlier that year for the FIA Main Event. Yeah Pro Mod is great, but a Top Fuel Dragster / Funny Car is an earth shaking experience, especially in the Grandstand 😊😊😊
Thank you. Unfortunately I couldn't make any if the big events last year. I agree top fuel is amazing a sight snd everybody should experience them! But I just think you can't beat promods for how powerful and generally reliable they perform
Thank you very much, these are the lights that I used www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285317372188?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=4CUj8beeTkO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=v2xawCMLTMy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Hi there, How would you diagnose the difference between a tandem pump failure and injector seal failure? Before I dive into the injectors I was hoping to rule out less invasive potential causes to my hard starting in the morning in the mornings. No diesel in oil. Cheers, Chris
Unfortunately lately there's no easy way to tell which is giving you poor start, does it smoke on startup? That would indicate fuel leaking past the seals into the bores. If there is no obvious sign, I would start with the tandem pump as its the easier and cheaper of the 2 repairs, if that doesn't fix it then it's going to be the injector seals
@@RJW_Customs There’s no smoke on normal start up, but on first start of day there’s a tiny bit of black smoke from what I assume is unburnt diesel. Clears in seconds then no smoke at all. I’ve changed fuel filter so assume that and the low pressure side is ok. Lifter pump in tank makes a gurgle sound when it primes.
Generally all pds have a little black puff of smoke on startup. This could be a sign of worn seals as it's got excessive diesel sat in the bores from leaking past the seals. But I would still start with tandem pump without solid proof on the injector seals. The lift pump is it just a little noise or a gargle like it's filling a cavity that's got air in it?
It seems to all work OK and I've since found quite a few of the small balls on the floor so I must have had a bearing come apart at some point in the garage and never swept them all up! Properly put a spanner in the works for a bit though!
This was the switch's I used www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282126825471?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=YRTmJau9QrW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=v2xawCMLTMy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@RJW_Customs yes thanks, I mean if there is diesel flowing behind the first plate or if it should only be inside the part with the springs? ( that you didn’t open in the video) I assume the axle seals that is included in the kit is also changed by open this “inner pump”
