If you're just starting to use "clipless" pedals, get into the automatic habit of clipping out when you come to a stop by verbally saying to yourself "Clip Out!", both as a reminder and confirmation. It will keep you from toppling over when you come to stop because your feet are trapped in the pedals.
disregard my previous comment, she is right, just took my bike in to get a chain link replacement and it goes by how many gears you have in the back only, so my comment below is false and so as abbiebeast's comment, if you go to any mechanic to ask them anything regarding your chain or whatever, they will tell you that its just the rear stack, not the front
hey so I looked up some information, you have to take the number of cogs and multiply it to the amount of chain rings you have on your bike, your video is putting out some misleading information, could you possibly go back and fix your video so no one else gets confused please?
@@FullCircleCoaching yes, actually you are right, I was wrong, I just took my bike into a professional to get a part for my chain and he explained that to me, my bad, you have a good day :)
Playing music while the people are talking makes you dumb. Remove the music. Why have a video with talking and music playing if nobody can hear it because of the music playing. Your stupid.
All these techniques are great, but this doesn't account for why people usually fall. They fall because they forget they are clipped in when they come to a stop, and then panic causes them to not be able to perform the correct movement to unclip fast enough. Until it becomes muscle memory to unclip as you stop, pretty much everyone will do this.
Thanks for the upload, i cycled at Brecon Beacons years ago and came off at a roundabout using clipless, not used em since...until today, just had a pootle around 3 miles on the road, hesitant at first and wasn’t able to use the field nearby as there was football being played, but it was fine, i listened to the advice and it really helped, so thank you.
I fell and broke my hip not because I couldn't get unclipped, but because I forgot one side was clipped in at a red light. Flat pedals are just fine for most people. I do use pedals with spikes in them, so I split the difference.
I’m new to this and agree, this is an excellent video for first timers like myself. I would also agree that you also learn after hitting the asphalt deck as I just did 😊……Practice, practice, practice!!!
great video about clipping in and out, although its been proven on many videos (search clipless v flat) that clipless DO NOT make you faster. So ride flats if you feel more comfortable and safe.
Best video I've seen so far on this topic. The technique for clipping in with breaks, giving it a push, and getting on the saddle was crucial for me given that I've gotten used to starting with the wrong foot. Thank you!
for those who may have trouble with these drills, which are good drills, try using swim fins. the frustration that a lot of people encounter is "going nowhere" which for many is merely repeating the same mistakes. use the fins until you experience what it feels like to move smoothly through the water. wean yourself off the fins gradually. they work for me with my classes.
yes, of course, there are actually a few regressions you can take if these drills are too difficult; number 1 is flexibility in the hips! - if you don't have it, even kicking across the pool with a kickboard can be challenging- SO please check out my swim stretch video on this playlist. Then use fins- my favorite is the Z2's from Finis, and I have a link to them here on my www.swimoutlet.com/fullcircle store. These fins are not too long and can help improve your ankle mobility and get you using your hips to kick. Please master this kick series with fins as well as doing your dry land swim strength video, and you can greatly improve your propulsion. My swim essentials course is starting on Feb 17/ 18 2024. look for information on how to join in person or virtually!
feeling good naked is for people who look good naked. if you look terrible, and you see need for improvement, feel bettet after you fix it. have your good feelings about yourself based upon substance, rather than just changing your perception of how fat you are. dont build your self esteem on a foundation of sand, earn it through dedication and consistant hard work over time. then you will never lose it
Got my first clip-less pedals after I joined a club. No one really coached me on how to use them. I was just given a 2 min crash course by one of the guys. After a long ride with the same club one day, at the end of the ride, we stop. I unclip my left (lead foot) and forget to unclip the right. We chat, I try to get off my bike and I remember that I did not unclip the right, it was too late! Bang on the ground. 😂 Bruised my right knee. The second time: I am from a ride one evening, approaching the gate of my house, I press open the gate/garage remote to open the gate and the garage. Gate opens. Garage does not open. I was too far for the garage to pick up the signal from the remote control. I press to open the garage the second time, it opens, slowly. Now too close to a slowly opening garage, with both feet still clipped in, i remember that I did not unclip. With the garage half-opened, realising that I should stop suddenly, both feet still clipped in, still moving at moderate speed, inexperienced in unclipping quickly, I squeeze the brakes and try to unclip quickly, too late. Bang on the ground! I sprain the middle finger of my right hand, which is still healing 😂 There are a number of other stories I can share. Think these will be enough 😅😅😅
Ugh, I'm so sorry, but it really means you need to take an hour 1 day and - push off, clip in, coast, clip out, and stop, repeat, repeat, repeat. Always use the same leg to push off and land on- DON'T switch that leg because your brain gets confused. Get some knee guards- and practice practice @@Downdotloader . You got this!!!
Reading this after falling like a dead tree about 3 times! After watching the video and learning the tips I can finally say I know what I’ve been doing wrong :) thank you!
Of course These give me an additional 20 grams of protein on top of a 2500-3000 calorie nutritional plan - we were just about to ride 3000 miles across the United States for RAAM Ride across America And these Perfect Aminos were life savers for getting my 130 grams of protein in every day!!
