The pro/pro II differences are pretty minimal I think, half stops on the II, RBL selection on the shutter knob for RB lenses, counter on both orientations of the film back, and the noted fine focus knob. There may be some more, but those are the big ones.
Get the ‘frog tongue” attachment for the camera, it will keep the film covered as it comes out and protects the film from continuing to be exposed. Polaroid film has a narrow latitude range so as they say “embrace the imperfections”…
My EOS3 is reliable if you are relying on the autofocus to miss, because somehow mine backfocuses significantly and nobody got it fixed while techs still looked at them. Otherwise it’s a very reliable camera, as long as you remember to manually focus or autofocus and then make an adjustment.
I'm very familiar with the Kowa Super 66. I shot all of my weddings on it. for the reception I used a sunpak auto 611 thyristor flash. Great camera with a square negative.
I have it brand new😂 it’s my grandparent’s they never use it I found it in their stuff even I unboxed it it was packed never touched. If anyone around the world interested to buy it for whatever reason comment down. Btw I’m from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Damn! Welcome back Jesse!!! When I found your channel, two years ago, I was SO elated! I actually subscribed, when you made your last video, lol, so seeing a new video on my feed, was not only exciting but refreshing. I love your style, so hoping a lot more videos are to come!!! <3
Nice find for $6, I think the current prices are over hyped, there are way better cameras for mich less. But the market price is dicatated by supply and demand economics. I picked up a Yashica T2 for £10 which basically has the same lens system.
I love the Pentax medium format, they're just so timeless. Great bike as well, looking good. Hope you're going well, it's been pretty hard over the last couple of years. Cheers, from Adelaide in South Australia
Great work guys, it's always wonderful to see people getting to do something they're passionate about. As a 67 year old (been doing this sort of thing since the 1970's) and still have a passion and love for my 35mm film camera (Nikon F2AS), and it's still shoots as well as the day I bought it.. Thanks to you both, Paul. From sunny Adelaide in South Australia
i had the whole system, all the lenses, prisms, doo-dad's but I just couldn't get really sharp negatives out of it which I attributed to mirror slap since it is a big mirror....I had 6 bodies and sold everything to get into a Mamiya 6 X7 w/ NO mirror which gave me the negatives I was looking for, now it's all digital for me. I have $6,000.00 in darkroom equipment up in my attic, completely useless. with the Kowa, every body knows what you are doing, the thing is so big. 10 shots, change film....not to mention getting film across international borders. the lenses were beautiful though, seemed well made, I don't know how sharp though, I never did any tests.
The lighting has to be spot on with the SX70. The dynamic range of the film is terrible so it’s important to not have too many dark shadows in the photo. And you need to take it out the camera a lot quicker than you do to stop exposing it to light in the first few seconds for the best development.
Video @ 22:02 - "the Cadillac of P&S's" - Well, where most point & shoots have their little 'ticking-time-bombs', is in the lens tucking The lens connections become severed via the use of flexible printed circuits. With enough 'Paperclip Bending', those connections become open (break). Better to own the non moving lens models. The Yashica T3 is fixed and has a FASTER Zeiss optic (f/2.8) than the more fragile & expensive T4 ! - Also, when the age weaknesses are corrected (hardened), the Nikon L35AW point & shoot IS THE BEST value with special features for the advanced amateur. - Its TACK Sharp lens ! It's weatherized, has AF choice visible inside the VF, true manual focus, YOU control manual flash and the film leader is left out when rewound ! - For B&W DIY developers, this last feature is the bomb BTW, I own all the premium AF P&S's : Leica Minilux, Contax T2, T3, Nikon 35Ti, Yashica T3 etc. - But that Nikon is unquestionably my favorite...
@@7evive - Yes, the Nikon Action Touch (L35AW) has a METAL battery cap (a Major weakness of the L35AF; plastic one!). The L35AW offers to the photographer MANUAL focus and MANUAL Flash On-Off (the L35AF offers neither). The body of the L35AW feels like a tank with a 3mm thick clear front lens cover glass & full weatherization (having 13 rubber gasket seals & with their current age, I wouldn't recommend underwater use). - The Key consideration when buying one is (Of course most don't function & will certainly break if not "HARDENED"; but that's OKAY !) DON'T buy one that has ANY SIGN of battery leakage ! ! ! - Because, if you see just a little bit on any plastic covers or metal battery contacts etc., rest assured the INTERNAL damage will be extensive & VERY DIFFICULT to remedy/Harden/CLA...
Great shots. I was vacationing in Wildwood with my family since the 1950-60’s. Did the same with my children and now to a limited extent with my grandchildren. The 50’s and 60’s were the heyday of Doo-Wop architecture and neon everywhere.
