Oh hi, I make animated (if you can even call this animation) videos about topics that interest me (and maybe you too!). Currently, I'm still experimenting on what kind of videos I'm going to be doing, ex: commentary, comedy skits, real life stories, but I'll always try to make it accessible and entertaining to watch, or at least that's the goal. If you like the drawing style, be sure to shoot me a message if you want to collab or if you need an animator.

I didnt play Swordcaft series. But I love the Playstation mainline Summon Night titles. So you get a like. Also English games took so long to release due to funds. They were crowdfunded. Banpresto wasn't sure bringing them to the West would sell.
SoS:FoMT did add some significant quality of life features that were great to have. 2 bag slots at the start of HM:FoMT was atrocious, for example. However, I’m not crazy about many of the character redesigns and it sucks that they removed rival marriages.
there was one comment asking why every harvest moon/story of seasons video mentions the split since everyone knows it by now. that's the thing, despite it being years since the split, there are people who still don't know, and natsume is counting on that. this game is worth 50 bucks, and that's just a total scam. natsume is disgusting.

Jokes on you, I DID play this game AND read this mountain of Text. but I just drilled all the idiots so elemental weakness' didn't matter to me. I hope that Fanlation of 3 comes out, I really liked these games. and I have never heard of Maglam Lord.
Made it to mythic ore within the first few days and it turned out there was a glitch that made it where it straight up didn't spawn in the NA version for the first few MONTHS of release. Had to drop the game until it was patched and it set a really bad halt on my want to play it afterwards. I LOVE the new game, the originals rival events made the game feel more natural though. I miss watching the lives in the town grow and continue on alongside my own. Plus, it made leaving Rick forever alone feel SO much more satisfying. Him being the ONLY one single just felt satisfying.
I know it is quite late to leave a comment like this on this video. The drop holes in the mines were actually used before Stardew Valley became a thing back during the DS era of Harvest Moon games in particular the DS remake of a Wonderful Life - Harvest Moon DS. Outside of me just being nitpicky to be nitpicky, the review was great~ I do agree that the remake relied too much on nostalgia and didn't take enough risks with updating the world itself.
Oh dw I was well aware of that fact while making the video. In fact, HM:DS was one of the main games that inspired Stardew *don't quote me on that, I just read it somewhere*
Oh man, those are great games, too bad no translation for the 3rd game and the PSP version is well...Unique. I didn´t play the DS version but I hear it is a good game. I recommend this game to someone time ago and I want to play them again.
I just decided to browse an emulation site for decently rated action rpgs to put on my phone that I turned into a retro handheld and came across this and the sequel. Within a day I almost quit the game because I couldn't get through the first tournament fight because I didn't know I'm allowed to keep doing the dungeon after I make my first knife and don't have to go into the tournament with basically cutlery. And when I restarted, as a summon I got an anime waifu that simps for my character and just wants me to be nice to her, so now I'm motivated.
I'm playing this game now on my miyoo mini plus, and I have teared up a couple of times & I love how it's really queer too. I appreciate this game so much.
Idk how I’ve never found this video before, my first experience with the series was Twin Age for the DS, but I did get my hands on Swordcraft Story 2! I even got Summon Night 5 and 6 for PSP and Vita respectively, I truly wish this series got more love, even the other Japanese exclusive Spinoff Titles like Granthese or a translation of the first 4 mainline titles
Update I now am playing maglam lord because I wanted more and it’s decent though warning if graphics are your priority and/or you hate the concept of a dating game with rpg elements I advise you advoid it other go nuts

It's like tales of phantasia but with more modern features. The third one has a fan translation, so far it's pretty good. I probably should have started with the first 1, but i'll just play them in reverse I guess.
Ok, but I have to highlight the fact that drop-down holes and a combat system for the mines were things introduced in Haverst Moon DS, and not just a copy of Stardew! That said, I really loved the review. I’m thinking about buying it but only because of the nostalgia. I played this game SOOOOO much when I was a child! I tried to play the GBA game but the lack of quality-of-life features is just unbearable nowadays haha
@@vtea I feel that strongly in the *vibes* of the soundtracks. I love how both are kinda melancholic and weird at times. The spritework also strikes me as similar, somehow. Well, HMDS was the one I played the most, and the only one I feel like going back to haha
I own the first one on GBA, never bought the second for some reason. Should have though. Atlus should have localized the 3rd and final game, how disapointing.
SNSCS2 was legitimately my favorite game of all time from the gba and ds Era. I replayed it to completion with every summon beast twice and would just sit and listen to the ost. I should play the first one. I laughed out loud when I saw the enemies were literally the same though.
I can’t decide between Mary and Popuri bro they’re both adorable and I wanna help them achieve their goals (Mary with her book and Popuri with her chicken farming dreams)
The 3 years i played fomt on gba when i was a little kid, feels like 10 years of progress when i look back on it. I had all mythrils, the town house, alll van collectables from gamecube, literally fucking every recipe and house upgrade. Fomt was the only game i basically platinumed and kept playing.
All I can see is Marvelous is the jerk one here. Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town is probably the last game I will buy from them because of how jerk they are. But I won't play Harvest Moon either but I don't think they are in the wrong here.
Thats Cool, I have yet to play through the first Summon Night game, but its on the list of games, I really like the crafting of diffrent type of items and the active side scrolling battles that take place in dungeons.
I never get to buy the full version, but emulated this through my phone were awesome to play. I even tried to play the third one but it's still in japanese and that's how I learnt japanese lol
Good video. I waited to play this because when it arrived I wasn’t enjoying the memories I had of GBA FoMT. What got me to play it was that it’s related to AWL (sorta). I enjoyed it and I agree with the things like there not being a lot to do. Once I got the sprites to take care of the farm, 2 for animals and the rest take care of farming, the game plays itself. I married Cliff, and once the child was “full grown” was when I was done. I had bought and unlocked all the things I wanted and that’s it. Good game, I don’t regret it at all. After AWL and FoMT I continued on with these characters in HMDS Cute. I hope they eventually remake that, minus the 5000 glitches from the boy version.
I stumbled upon this video and let me tell you, Summon Night 1 & 2 are the only games that made me distracted away from the Pokemon series. That's saying something.
