I think if writing this chapter proved anything, it was that I'm much better at writing silly/light-hearted/cute fics than super serious ones. I've majorly switched genre since this for that reason lol. Fluff is so much more fun! :D
The sound I made upon realizing there's 7 chapters left and so much of the story remaining was not human. I did not realize that this story was so jam-packed here at the end. Whoops! Seriously, Ochako's had the most eventful week of her life here!
I started *cackling* at the end there. Right! It'll be okay! :) And thank you for defending 15 y/o me's logic with this whole thing, even if I didn't realize it made sense at the time. Wish I could take credit for all these psychological reasons, but mine were "Ha. Gay. Make them kiss soon." And I'll preface this with, I *know* you're expressing a completely neutral opinion and I encourage you to continue saying what you think, because feedback helps me make improvements! However, anxiety is telling me that I need to defend my choice to change the reason Toga killed that dude in middle school. (I moved it to HS, iirc) I think the canon reason better works with her character, but I stand by my reason to change it in this specific scenario. In my mind, him insulting her on a personal level was the last straw. It made no sense for the canon reason to apply here, to me. Of course, my reason is dodgy at best, far from the perfect one, but I thought I'd give my opinion!
Psychiatrist was like "Well, she might be a sociopath.. bring her in for another session, yeah? Here's my rates." "Well, now I think she's a psychopath, based on how risky she's behaving. You should bring her back, here are my rates." "Hm. Another session is needed, here are my rates." Brother was a liar who wanted cash, because I hc Toga's family as loaded and influential (think the Northwest's from Gravity Falls) Also! I know nothing of psychology, so I appreciate the breakdown. I knew I was going to make him (the psychiatrist) a liar who's after cash, but I never dove into that. My bad. I think the inclusion of a few of their sessions to indicate this would've definitely cleared that up. Kinda shows my inexperience at the time lol
Nah its cool not many are phsycology nerds like me. The whole antisocial personality disorteal being the actuall term for social and psycopaths is not a well known thing

Heyyyy! I'm super late but I'm here! 😅 Okay, okay, so this is something I was thinking about: People compare Toga to HQ, yeah? Harley was a successful psychiatrist in the Arkham Asylum before Joker! (Dr. Harleen Quinnzel was her name/title iirc, hence the shortening to Harley Quinn) She was mentally stable and successful until she met the Joker, who was _in_ the asylum! Before an outside cause/without an outside effect, she would never had been Harley Quinn. In the right conditions, it's safe to assume Toga wouldn't have ever tried to murder that kid in Middle School. Her vague backstory leaves a lot to guess, but I think her parents/society was the Joker in her story. Without him (them) she could've been successful and sane. I really like that depiction, but I see what you mean by the whole "people compare her to Harley for surface level reasons". Hope I'm up-to-date/correct about my DC knowledge lol. I'm not really a fan of it (or Marvel, for that matter) lol. HQ is definitely my favorite character from DC though :D Oh! And that rewrite fic is such a cool idea! Especially how it's set up with each group of characters having their own fix to cover their stories. Are you planning on writing that? I'd try my hand at such a thing, but my planning skills are in the negatives. I just have 2-3 main plot points in mind, and try to connect them as I go lol. (Hence my inconsistency..) And, I hate to self-promo, so just say the word and I'll edit this part out, but I've got the vaguest outline of a fic exploring how even the smallest amount of support would drastically alter Toga's life/story. It's such an interesting, underused thing imo. Yeessssh, that was long..

I’m at 7:55 rn and I just had a thought what if when omelette hatches they have either white or red hair and like blue eyes but because he can’t call miriko or Dabi he calls endevor and so Endeavour realises how much the baby looks like baby touya😭😭😭😭🫶🫶🫶
