hi tonya, how is it with waves in the wet season (especially around caracol beach)? calm water or rough waves? if not calm: often or only sometimes? thx 4 answer in advance..
Hi! Caracol is one of the best beaches in Cancun. The water is usually calm with small waves, regardless season. Sometimes there are waves, when days are windy, but they are big, but not huge and many people swim there with waves. It can last if hurricane is approaching, but even in this case you can go 5 minutes along the beach to the left (to the beach of the Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas) and relax there. A have never seen big waves at that beach, even when the weather was terrible. If you want completely still water consider all the beaches to the left from Riu Palace.
thx 4 your valuable infos.. so if i got it right than at caracol its normally calm.. what do u mean with ""Sometimes there are waves"? is it about 10% of the year or something? also one more question please: what about playa azul? i read that it is more often rough than playa caracol.. does that mean that there are often waves right there? @@theworldwithtonya
With “sometimes waves” I mean, if you see the thunderstorm is coming, waves will definitely be there, but not huge waves, so in rainy season it happens. And every rainy season is different, so it’s hard to say the percentage. Playa Azul is more bright and beautiful, but there are waves almost all the time. I would say it’s hard to swim there, but sometimes it’s still possible. This beach is almost never calm, but it’s still calmer, than all the beaches that go down to the south.
Hi! This is hurricane season, but the weather can be good. Check the weather forecast a week before your vacation, so you wouldn’t have to hide from hurricane in a shelter. When there’s no hurricane water is warm and beaches are nice! Wish you a great holiday!
Summer is usually the rainy season, but it doesn’t mean 🌧️ all the time. You’ll likely have plenty of time to go to the beach, the water is very warm, but be ready for some rains or even rainy days.
The beginning of July is the middle of rainy season, but still not the hurricane time. You’ll likely see rains, but you’ll also swim in warm water and see the sun.
we are planning to visit on 24th this month, weather reports are not good enough please advise if we can take this risk? or do you know any other Caribbean location where no rain season for this month
Hello. Thank you for the question. September is considered the most rainy month of the year and the middle of hurricane season in Cancun. I think it’s almost for sure, that you’ll see rains, but nobody can tell you, what is going to happen. You can see hurricanes forecast a week before 24th of September. Forecasts’ll be more exact. If they say no hurricane only rains, then may be this rains won’t last long, but who knows. About other Caribbean location. I suppose it may be rainy in any place. It’s better to check more exact forecast)
Hi Tonya! Thank you for the video, would you roccomend someone to go to Cancun in the end of August-I am aware that it is a huriccane season but will it not make a big impact on the trip? Thank you!
Hi Stefanie! Thank you for the question. I would say, nobody’ll guaranty, that you won’t meet a few days of bad weather during this time, but it can also be sunny all the time. In my case, weather was good in August, but there was a hurricane in October) I would say if your vacation is in August, it’s better to go, but always keep in mind, that you’ll probably rain for a few days.
☀️Thank you for the information, Cancun is really beautiful place, we wanna more about cancun, beach views, hotels areas, comercial areas, greetings from Brooklyn NY, Nelson & Ana
