I only saw Yes once in 1980 or 81 at Maple Leaf Gardens here in Toronto. It was an "In The Round" show and the stage was a revolving circle in the middle of the arena. Great show. At one point Steve Howe's guitar lost sound and a flap on the stage floor opened, a hand came out and took the guitar from Steve and then handed him another one and closed again. Guitar tech must've been under the stage. Kinda weird and funny. 😂
Sorry, no bueno. Compare this show to any of the Jon Anderson and Band Geek concerts over this summer and you'll see the real soul of YES now resides with Jon Anderson.. It's very strange that the band that calls itself YES now sounds like a YES cover band.
Listen to his guitar parts on Steve Wariner's ( Crash Course In The Blues) 1991 , MINDBLOWING!! After hearing this song I bought this CD (back in the early 90's ) just to see the credits , not that Steve Wariner needs help but its so cool and professional that world class guitarists will often call on their hero's to be on their cd's !!!!!
Steve Howe is truly one of the great guitar players of all time!! But this is not YES He is not the original guitarist of YES Peter Banks was. Certainly he was with the band for many of the great years Without the vocals of 😢Jon Anderson and the bass guitar mastery of the late great Chris Squire It is just not YES
Wow, half the people are holding up phones recording......why? Talk about ruining it for the people behind you, besides your attention is always on your phone trying to keep it pointed correctly. Anyways loved these guys and had a few of their tapes in my car in the 70's.
Thanx mang. Who am I to judge if ... These guys are inveterate musicians all they know is to play and create musick and recreate sounds for their fans. at least there are 3 vets in this lineup. So many vintage bands still touring for better or worse. Frankly I am surprised how many folks still pack the venues. See, the REACTION of the fans for " Ive Seen All Good People" lol. A classic song. ANywaze, I am fortunate to have just found a cottage in the country So I cannot afford to attend shows anymore... Thanks for sharing !
Fabulous! Was so close to going to this event! A bit distorted sound here. Who cares! Probably recording device (cellphone) could not decrease volume enough. Or my phone having a crappy speaker... Who knows... Head to their german Concerts, they always sound soooo good!
I miss the good old drum sound, I liked it better with the Simmons Electronic Drums, this one is just bad and sounds like I want, but I can't do it. 😢😸🤘🇦🇹
Drummers can be loud and difficult to tame the live acoustic kit. I agree. I think electronic drums would make much more sense, but drummers often hate playing them.
