I use 3D Movie Maker to make nostalgic retro animations of Mega Man, Mario, & more. Also live action 3D versions using similar looking models
Microsoft 3D Movie Maker is a children's computer program developed in 1995. Using the program, users can make films by placing 3D characters and props into pre-rendered environments, or stop motion style moving 3D parts such as spheres and 3D letters and numbers, as well as ready made actor models and sets.
Here are some of my films I made in around 1998 with the program when I was 12 to about 16 years old to around 2004. With a very rare new here and there, it will say in the descriptions when they were made for context. No mods. Only the original program used.
Mainly I made/make NES and video game based animations. NEW Animations made also!
Yes it looks terrible. That's why they are funny to watch now. It will amuse me however if you comment on the appearance without knowing 3DMM, so don't let it stop you.
Elec Man looks like that because that's all I could tell from my little blurry TV on the NES back then. I never saw his real drawn character picture or clear pixel version. I made an upgraded appearance in the Dr. Wily's Revenge animation here though.
I love your work man and it looks like you change your name cool actually that were past cool funny that you use the game boy mega man well see you later MBX3D 😎😉
Many more elements of the original Super Mario Bros will be included in the future parts. I can tell you it will be a 5 part mini series. I will do more short ones after that but this story is a 5 parter.
This is using an animation program from 1997. Every part needs animated separately so I tried to use the least amount of "parts" possible. Every eye, pupil, ect is a part. The hat is 3 parts alone, the top, the rim and the M. So everyone is simplified down to essential parts. I also made this when I was little so it's not the greatest designs but I think they are funny.
Hopefully you found Part 2 as well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--_y7xKYHBCE.html and make sure to click the end screen at the end to continue to the ending.
I love the charm of these. Being 39 it reminds of of a lot of 80s stop animations I'd see, such as certain skits during pee wees playhouse, Mr. Bogus, and gumby.
Claymation and the sort, yes. The look is for sure intended to be old school along with the simple MIDI music. And the home-made look of the sign, using pennies for coins, ect. This story will continue and you will see more fun little old school bits appear. It's been fun to make and even more to edit it into a lively story.
not gonna lie, i did tear up during the part where Dr Light revealed more about Rock and Roll's past as humans, the dialogue hits hard and it just adds more weight and reason for megaman to keep on fighting despite it all i also love how you used the two missing megaman 1 robot masters (gutsman and bombman) to explain why they weren't there at the fight with the rest of the MM1 robots initially and integrate them pretty neatly into the narrative
That's great to hear. I had done Mega Man 1 and said he was human so I used this one to explain it more. I didn't want my version to be exactly like the real game series. And in the Game Boy games, they use half bosses from different games, 4 from 1 and 4 from 2, bur Guts Man and Bomb Man never appear in the rest of the Game Boy games, so they were great to have at the end since I also added Roll into the story.
This story about the 1st NES game will continue. For now I already have 2 more you can enjoy about the Game Boy game: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vXIjbocE9JU.html click the end screen for part 2 on that one.
They are animated to life figures. I have another about the Game Boy here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vXIjbocE9JU.html and it has a part 2.
It's crazy to see the 3DMM characters come "To Life" though the power of 3D printing and even more so acted out in such a creative way that would have taken months of animating in 3DMM. I expect very great things from this new series! 💯
Really looked like a dentist or doctor in the NES back in the day... I saw him in Mega Man 3 first in the Doc Robot, didn't get Mega Man 2 until later. it doesn't say their names, they just float down. I was so confused.
Flash Man is an time manipulating robot that got rejected by dr wily He can Flash bang any entity that is on his way using his flash attack His flash bang will often confuse the entity and then flashman will have to bite their back off just to paralyze them It was named the Flash Virus When Flashman was fighting megaman flashman’s glass helmet broke and then got his head bitten And then megaman vomitted on flashman’s head with his boiling blood And then flashman fell down unconscious
Airman is an eldritch horror robot created by dr wily he was supposed to make winds that make spores And that winds contain hallucinations nausea blunt force trauma and death but you can actually survive from it and megaman was actually immune to airman’s spores from the wind and airman ended up having his eyes and propeller flayed by megaman’s drop kick and then exploded to the leaf shield (Heisei Airman)
My friend, I made this in 1998 without my NES handy, or the Internet at home. Also none of this is anywhere near canon anyway, it's my own wacky version I thought up when I was a kid.
Making theories for every robot master: Heat Man Was used as a weapon for the USSR which heatman causes massive high tempatures before being stolen by wily and can now perform the atomic fire (Heisei Heatman)
