You say the fuse box burnt up. Was it just the fuse for the injectors? You may want to check the ignition switch at the base of the steering column. They are known to go bad and cause all sorts of strange issues on the old 'P series' chassis. I replaced mine as preventative maintenance. Wasn't to difficult a job. A lot of electrical items pass thru that switch. Good job on finding the issue. I own a 1994 Southwind Storm 454 TBI w/4L80E. It had ~45K when I purchased it in Sept 2014. Now have ~78K on the odometer. I replaced a lot of parts due to age such as all sensors, master cylinder, coolant hoses, by-pass hose, AC condenser w/integral oil cooler, front air bags, shocks, PCV valve, linear EGR, rebuilt the TBI, new shift solenoids, sway bar bushings etc...the RV runs great and use it for an annual trip of 3XXX miles each year from Washington (Renton) to HB, Ca. and back. I specifically picked it due to that era being very reliable and it had no auto park brake system, no air injection system, no slides, no hydraulic jacks....none of that stuff that fails at the worst possible time. Couple other tips...if it runs rich when warm that is very likely a bad 'coolant temp sensor'. It is threaded right into the front side of the intake manifold just below the T stat housing. The T stat housing is where the ECU and the CTS ground at (bracket). Be sure the bracket bolts and connections are clean, clean, clean. Also check the engine to frame ground chassis strap ( I replaced mine). It is on the drivers side and bolts from the rear of the cylinder head to the frame. These TBIs are very sensitive to ground issues. Also check and clean the starter connections, battery cables as well. You did a good job filming this. I enjoyed it. All of the wheels are stock. The wheels on the black pearl are the factory optional mags. Otherwise it would have the same hubcaps that the zzzap edition had. All the gold you saw is the protective zinc chromate coating. It holds up pretty well, as you can see. The ZXR was a special edition available to the general public (1,001 copies) made to make it legal for a particular racing series.
I reacquired my gold 2008 Pontiac Torrent in July, after buying brand new Feb.2008. In 2016, battery continually going dead, found out purely by mistake, rear wiper motor continually drawing joose,even after car was shut off. Two of those $175 valve stems, then I sold it to my FIL, who passed away😢last December. Ex wife gave it back to me. Now I remember WHY I got rid of it in the first place. Same dead battery issues in 2024, as in 2016. He must have reconnected faulty rear wiper. I pulled that fuse, interior dome lights remained on, pulled That fuse. Thot that was it NO Car Completely dead Key stuck in ignition. Car has had many electrical gremlins ( Not AMC!) for more than 8 years now. Previous u-tube video: pull small plastic plug Under front steering column. Small screwdriver to release key from ignition… I’m done! A second “ yard car” or “ yard art” next to my white 2006 CaraVan SXT shorty Purchased new March 2006 Only 65,000 miles 3.3 water pump “Job From H€££!” Awaiting this POS. I've been looking at old used machines. The old coats machines...but, now i have to decide between an old worn out used machine or a new lower quality, but with a balancer also for around the same price. Looms like its better than the ole bumper jack and pry bar technique i usually go with... Looks like you are almost a year in, are they worth the investment so far? I have spent $600 to $800 at the tire shop in the past year swapping tires and rims...this is probably my next toys...
@@billymonster1969 Still using them. The only problem I have is getting a tire to pop on the rim, so I bought an air tank from Harbor Freight to pop the tires on the rim. 😁
Thanks for the video, had watched it before a while back but just did a coolant flush and fill but couldn’t find the reservoir cap. Mine is an ‘04 and probably had the original coolant. Switched to the new blue coolant that Honda uses on their bikes and cars. Hopefully will be easier to see in the overflow tank.

She's definitely not ugly at all. And well worth $1500 . Most of the 1st Gen 64-66 and even 2 ND Gen 67-70 chevy and gmc g10 vans have rust now a days . I sold my 66 chevy van in 2022 to my brother in laws friend for the same price,very straight sides ,nose and rear doors but extreme heavy rust all through her roof and top of the door jams. I paid over $2k for the van,got her jnspected,tagged and had her tags and insurance but I knew it would be better to let him fix her as he would keep her looks factory but fix her rust quickly before it got worse. I have a similar 69 chevy 108 g10 my dad gave her to me in 1991 as my high school graduation present she's in my picture on here . I like my vans with no side or rear windows and the first thing I did with mine is take off her side thrush pipes and the swap out her side and rear door's with windows and put solid metal panel doors, I'd fill in that fugly trailer with dow on the left side as well as that hideous plug outlet . My dad had a 69 chevy 108 camper van with an outlet but it was factory and hidden. I love these vans the most but I'm also fond of the a100 split window dodge vans ,econolines are cool as well and I had a 62 years ago but they are not my thing as the same with stangs = awesome cars but I'm a camaro man. Would be cool if you join a few van sites online and fb, vintage vans,vintage chevy van club,bad ass flat glass etc sorry for rambling I love everything I own and am in clubs for them all and even have toy versions of ev everything from my vans,to camaros,suburbans and my magnum wagons which I own 2 of and love

My Pontiac had some work done on it because it failed the emissions. After the work we drove it and it works great but it's not resetting so I can pass the emissions
@@Toni-ce You can buy the scan tool for around $25 and clear all the codes yourself. Or take it back to the place that worked on it and ask them to clear the codes for you. 👍😁
