suprised how light it is compared to my older qad rests. a disappointment i have buying a new sight to replace a hoggit father, axcel carbon pro claimed by alot off youtubers being much lighter is not true, lts an arrow weight lighter which is negligible when holding the two by the rear off the sight. it’s beautiful with some features spot hog should have for the price they charge

@DanielOrtwig
@DanielOrtwig Месяц назад
No lanyard. I use a strap from an older pair of binoculars (a camera strap will work too). The eyecups have a slot to feed your strap through so as to secure it.

You have a lot to learn…… replacing the lower cord with D loop material is a no no. Tie to yoke cord is no no for multiple reasons….. your fixation with string occilation is funny. Just follow the OEM instructions. Don’t you think they tried multiple setups trying to determine what is the most effective setup? By the way, that slapping sound when the rest comes down will take years off the longevity of the rest.

Video is good, but the info is bad. Definitely use a locking carabiner for all ends of a lifeline. Definitely use a smaller diameter line for the Prusik. Load that Fishermans Knot before you tie that stupid fishing line dressing, because as soon as the Fishermans knot tightens, that fishing line will pull apart! Good example of how to tie a Fishermans knot and a Double Fishermans, but still seems like your first time doing it. Spent more time dressing than creating a safe system. Paracord Prusik helper is cool. Again Double Fishermans.

I’ve got almost the exact same setup as that V3 31. Stone gray with flo orange gas strings at 65lbs. I’ve also got a 3 pin MBG slider (mines the ascent verdict) and a hamskea rest. Been thinking about upgrading the rest to the new hamskea or the qad integrate as the hamskea I have hits my arrows when they are in my quiver. I’ve even almost got the same stan release, lol. Do you still have the same bow? Was going to upgrade but I really love the 31” ata for 3D/hunting combo and if I do upgrade I’ll likely keep this one for 3D and get a shorter ata for hunting

Thinking about doing this exact arrow build out specs are pretty much the same. Did you end up using these for hunting this year? Was wondering your thoughts on hunting with these. At 7.1 gpi just worried about the durability But i figure with the ethics inserts it’ll provide a little more “meat” up front. I was about 2” off from the ring for the entry for the truck at tac last year in vermont so this year want to build a good arrow for both 3D and hunting. My mission is to build a good flat trajectory arrow to hit that damn ring this year.

How much more of an upgrade is the box-2 vs bx-1?
@commonsense5709
@commonsense5709 7 месяцев назад
I have the BX-1 12x50 and have been pretty much disappointed in it for a $230 priced Made in CHINA binoculars since day 1. it's falling apart and doesn't seem as though the focus can actually go to infinity it stopped at around 1000 yards at it's focus wheel is already maxed out. The right side eyepiece adjustment is also maxed out all the way to one side and still not perfectly clear on the right side either. It's effectively a good expensive monocular. The focus knob cover came off right after the round center label fell off. Overall construction of the binoculars itself seem robust with some heft to it though and image quality is quite decent for an entry level Leupold. Unfortunately cheaper binoculars sold by other brands are clearer. The $120 IBQ 12x50 as well as the $69 (under $35 currently on sale for 50% off) Desoo 12x50 for example sold on Amazon are both clearer than the Leupold BX-1. Leupold has the better warranty though.
@commonsense5709
@commonsense5709 7 месяцев назад
I bought a lot of binoculars to try out and the best cheap binoculars to buy are the ScoopX 10x42 UHD binoculars for around $60 or less sold on eBay and Amazon sells them fir $249 but why would you pay $249 when you can buy them fir $60 or less on eBay? It's actually comparable to $1000 binoculars. I know because I also own $1000+ Binoculars from Kowa (Genesis Prominar XD fluorite) and Leupold (BX5 Santiam) and the ScoopX is surprisingly close. No other cheap generic brand of binoculars can touch this one. I pretty much tried then all already. Only negative is the lack of any warranty support but can't complain for $60 buy couple and be your own warranty. It's better than the $499 Athlon Cronus UHD Gen 2 as well regarding image quality and wider Field Of View and lighter weight. The ScoopX is a decent and competitive alternative to the Zeiss Conquest HD and Vortex Razor HD for only $60. You all can thank me later for this.
