Most of the reason the cards were low grade most all of there off centered pretty bad, the mantle is off left to right same with the mays. Then some of your cards had darker stains on the back too. That was a big problem back then, thats why PSA 7+ are harder to find and they are worth some cash its harder to find them. The Koufax centering was one of the worse out of all of them, on the right side you see barely any white. PSA has even got harder over the years but at least you got grades on it, that does authenticate the cards, but older cards are harder to get good grades on. Its cool to have the cards though, and those xmas packs were repacks but they were made years ago I think, thats why the cards stayed in decent shape, they were all in decent shape for being as old as they were just back then they had issues with centering and cutting the cards. They still do haha
I would never have opened that pack, none of those cards are really worth grading other then authenticating. The World Series card you turned over, the centering on the back of it makes it a 5 or 6. Did you get any of them graded?
Just curious if you are selling any of the autos as is- ungraded- now. Or are you are just sending everything to PSA, then selling these later? Thanks-
Agreed!! I can't believe how quickly they have gone up after the initial release. More than 100% increase. My plans are to sell some of the cards and recoup some of the costs and keep some for my PC. The cards are at PSA now getting graded and I will release the blind reveal once they come in. Enjoy.

This whole thing, at this point, exists so that "grading" companies earn a steady paycheck and A new generation of youngsters get their first taste of sports gambling but its not called gambling its called a "hobby". Grow up people!

Thx for watching. The cards were only open for purchase directly on the Topps.com website for 48 hours after the olympics. Once that window closed, you can only buy the cards on the after-market (like Ebay). The base cards are going for a pretty reasonable price. Good luck!

I hear ya. My other 10 orders came in and all of those were base cards too. Topps did well on the marketing....I guess that's why they sold 500k+ of these cards. GL!

Bummer.....wish you would have had better luck. I got my other 10 Topps orders and they were all glass containers too with base cards. I have another few orders that haven't arrived, some I still holding on to limited hope. Good luck!

I can't imagine opening packs that old. That's just me, almost seems sacrilege as each pack opened is one less in the world not opened. I see why those who do it though as grading cards these days are the thing.
HI there......nope, no separate shipping label came with the parallel. I found out as I was unboxing the cards and I saw the special pack. I had 10 more orders that arrived since I posted the video and I was hoping for another foil pack, but no luck. All base cards. I do have 3-4 more orders that haven't been received.....I'm still holding on to tiny hope, but realistic I will only get base cards. Cheers.

@@HeadEnterpriseit’s just math. 1600 packs made. One of them has the million dollar. Assume average value of other cards is around 700. Makes each pack worth roughly 1.3k. In other words, you’re losing 1.2k everytime you rip a pack lol. Worst odds than slots.
@justin783 If you purposely bought these cards to make a profit, of course taking a free 2k profit would be the wise choice. But in this scenario, they bought this to chase the 1/1.
Hello and thx for watching. My understanding is on random orders received the foil packs. For me, I had about 10 different order with varying quantities. Some with 1 card. Some with 5 cards. Some with 10 card, etc. I think the 'random' foil pack was based on 'orders' rather than quantity. I think by having more orders I increased my chances. Not sure if that is accurate or not. However, I think I have another foil pack or two coming my way. If so, I will post as they arrive. Good luck!
Don't sell yourself short man! I got that same card yesterday. I ordered 10, 9 of them came in the Topps wrapped case and the other was the same as your card...obviously I wanted the 1:1 but these SSP cards are nice. Look at the difference between that and the true base cards.
I ordered 20. In a bit confused as to what I actually ordered how. I spent about $160 I believe. Does that mean I should get 20 packs/plastic base cards or 20 cards? Thank you in advance!

This is what I received so far.....when I ordered "20" cards.....In one shipment that came USPS, I got 20 base cards inside the plastic container inside the black topps now envelope, but, I also got one of the foil packs in another black topps envelope in the same shipment. So in essentially, I got 21 cards for the 20 card order. My other foil pack came in from a different order. In that order, I ordered 200 cards (got 5 plastic containers, 40 cards in each - all base) and one additional foil pack with the special card. So, you likely will get one plastic container with 20 cards and hopefully you get the extra envelope in the shipment, that means it's a foil pack. If it's just one black Topps Now envelope, you likely just got mostly base cards. Hope that helps! Cheers
