is it possible to thin the patch material down? I purchased some unopened cans, but the material is thick like peanut butter. It is so thick I can barely roll it on.
hello guys to install this material on a balcony near the sea you need to install the copper flashing around the balcony or you can also install it without the flashing
What's the difference between the Gaco GR1600 Roof Coat and the Gaco S4200 silicone roof coat? (Both in white.) I noticed the GR1600 is more affordable too. Also, can you recommend the best non-slip, super grippy sneakers or shoes for walking on the pitched silicone roof ( that's completely finished curing ) please? How about for when it's wet with rain? Thank you

If 3 years ago I installed an APDM liquid rubber solution that was supposed to be guaranteed for 30 years and the material has failed as of last November causing leaks in my house. The company would not make good on the product's defects and try to pass the buck onto the manufacturer. So how do I know that your product would really be guaranteed for 50 years and would really last more than 3 years?
The flat upper deck on our 13 year old house in Tampa is fiberglass coated with an epoxy paint. Due to the high temperatures, UV, rain, thermal expansion etc the rigid epoxy paint and fiberglass cracked about every 3 years requiring a complete redo. I consider and received quotations for various approaches, even ceramic tiles. Fortunately a contractor suggested Gaco S2000 and applied it 4 years ago. The best decision I ever made.! The flexibility and durability of this product means that it has shrugged off Florida weather for 4 years and looks as clean and white as when it was applied. About once a year I might give it a quick wash. It forms a resilient, flexible membrane. I cannot speak too highly of it. A product that actually works. !!
Lol at the 50 yr warranty. They just tell you its your fault you did not apply it properly. Even if a big company did it and the supervised. I dont know what to use still looking.
If you only have stock/supply of one color (white) of GACO roof (and have applied GACO patch in the same color), is it possible to add something like TINT or GLITTER to the ROOF product to provide a visual to help cover the first layer? Here on the video it clearly instructs DO NOT THIN. And on the walk way do not add traction medium to walk way yellow product...so did that answer my question about not adding anything? : )
So I applied it to a ac curb flashing today. While waiting for to apply the second coat, it started to rain and I wasn’t able to apply it. I want to apply the second coat tomorrow but it will be raining as well. Will the first coat stop the leaking or do I need the second coat for it to fully work?
I am really confused here... Why is the operator in a full hazmat suit? Anyone think this is a problem with putting this in my home where my children and wife live? Not just about me - is it toxic? Reallly strange here.
The raw chemicals are toxic, also not good while curing. when properly cured over 1-3 days the foam is safe to be around. Retro fit jobs normally recommend the people to move out for a week
Unbelievable that Gaco would promote sealing the base of a stucco wall with this great new product. The prior roof was obviously done incorrectly by sealing the stucco weep screed under a newer caulk in flashing, WRONG!! Now any water that runs down behind the stucco (and stucco always permits water infiltration) will be trapped and forced into the building. It is rarely a best practice to seal over both sides of a flashing.
