Hi, hello! I'm Carola, an artist and stationery lover. This channel is a place for me to share how I use various planners and journals as well as reviews about stationery such as fountain pens and inks.

This is such an interesting and versatile nib. Do you still enjoy the nib? does it give you hand fatigue to hold in different angles for prolonged writing/drawing sessions?
It’s still one of my go-to nibs and the pen is always inked up! I actually do love it for journaling - the angle that I use for cursive lets me write in a wide line and printing the date at the top of the page gives me a finer line!
@@FromCarola Thanks! I am debating getting an esterbrook with this nib or getting a Naginata togi grind (I am planning to go to SF pen show next month)
Both planners are beautiful! I love the colors you chose. That blue is stunning and a nice shift from all the neutrals you typically see, especially with the gold edges! I haven’t jumped into getting a Plotter yet because I do have the Filofax Lockwood personal slim with real narrow rings and also I have the pocket size slim. I think the ring size in the Filofax slim may be 11 or 13 mm. But I am very curious about some of the Plotter inserts and that leather looks real nice. I definitely see one of these in my future! Thanks for the inspiration!
I’m glad you like the blue too - it definitely stands out! Filofax is a great ring system and I like that you can use their personal inserts in a Plotter Bible 😊
I have so many ink colors I am really inspired by your fp ink painting. I’m trying to figure out how much ink you put in each little container Thanks Beth
Aw thanks Beth! With inks, I only need a 2-3 of drops to paint with. A pipette/eye dropper works well. If you’re using a wet brush, it will naturally add a bit of water to the ink too 👍🏽 happy painting!
I watched a ton of techo kaigi's at the start of the year and yours really stood out to me! Thanks for this quarterly update! Very inspiring in terms of your creativity, planning style, and consistency! ❤
Love your plotters. I love mine too. There’s actually a great hole punch on Amazon that works for plotter and makes smaller holes so it’s a better fit for plotter. It makes less extra page on the left of the holes so pages move smoother and it makes smaller holes.
Ooh I would love smaller holes - would you be able to share the name of the hole punch? Also, now I’m going to be watching all your videos about your rings setup for inspiration! 💕
Love your plotters, Carola! The dated inserts from Plotter are great! My favorite is the monthly. There's a lot of room for week days. I had a bit of a journey to find my way with the weekly because I was used to other layouts, but I am super happy with it now! Plus the paper is so great and works lovely with fountain pens too. I also like the cream paper from Filofax, very smooth pair with gel pens imo. Haven't loved with fountain pens as much. I am excited to see how you like them and what you decide! The sticky pocket is such a great idea! Will dig into my TN box and hope to find one😆 thanks for sharing, friend!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Cecilia! I love your videos about your PLOTTER uses and definitely used them as inspiration! I agree about cream paper being so nice (I like the Filofax inserts but will probably go with PLOTTER diary refills for 2025). I’m excited for where my lineup is heading!
Hi! If you're in US/Can, you can find the "Marker Desktop Organizer" on the Tombow website at TombowUSA.com (if you want to save 15%, feel free to use my code CAROLA)
For this price point, I would definitely watch more videos on how people are using it and try and feel it in person before I’d buy it… I haven’t purchased a leather purse in years but I would say this is a luxury item for those who carry minimal items and want pens to be stored safely within. 💕
The blending palette sometimes come in special kits such as the “Watercolor set”. You can also buy them separately ( www.tombowusa.com/blending-palette.html )but if you don’t have one, a simple laminated sheet does the same trick. Hope that helps!
What are you using for a hole punch? I just bought the mini 5 and am excited to get it setup. I am assuming the holes are the same size on the mini and mini 5 but I could be wrong.
I’m sure there are other options out there but I used a regular handheld punch - the holes are definitely bigger but it’s not something that bothers me.
I’m so glad that it resonates with you too! I found that a general gratitude journal became too big of a task but accounting for just a few “little joys” in a day is an easy reflection 🙌🏽
I was thinking of using the hibino for morning and evening routines - left page for morning routine and right page for reflections/ gratitude. I was going to ignore the grid and just use the lines to keep straight 🙈 I love the weeks mega :) love seeing how people use planners and it’s so helpful when trying to work out what I’ll do next year so thank you 💙
For the TWSBI eco fountain pen? It depends on where you purchase - an example is $32.99 at Atlas Stationers in the US (I’m an affiliate) You can search for “TWSBI” to see all the options: www.atlasstationers.com?sca_ref=3519669.16ffpLfWWH
Thanks Kim! This is my first B nib from Esterbrook and I have to say I absolutely love it! I used to be an EF/F nib person but lately have been extending to M/B for journaling and now love that I can see the ink properties. A great writing experience 💕
I love Wonder Pens too!!! I get a lot from them. I also love Paper Plus Cloth - also in Toronto. It is amazing all the different items each store has. I am just glad I live at least an hour plus north west of Wonder Pens otherwise my house would have even more stationery that it does 😊
I purchased the Hibino for 2024 and have the same Hobonichi Ohayo 5 year cover but don’t feel like it fits well. Did yours take time? My cover won’t lay flat/flush with both Hibino covers slipped into the cover. 😢
I didn’t really have any issues with it laying flat with the cover on but when I closed the book, I would have to smooth the covers because it was a bit stiff (I think that’s just because of the Hibino cover material). I just kept smoothing and flexing the book + cover to stretch it out. Admittedly, It’s not a perfectly smooth fit.
