Hey! My name is Severman and I am a German producer, DJ and content creator born in 2002.
Back in 2014 I discovered my passion for Electronic Dance Music through the former number 1 DJ Hardwell and the rise of Martin Garrix. After six years of practicing my skills, in 2020 I gained some traction from tutorials I began uploading on my RU-vid channel. I also got my songs signed on record labels such as Hardwell's Revealed Radar, AirwaveMusicTV & more.
In 2021 I continued building up momentum through a consistent release schedule of mostly emotional Progressive House tunes. I published my second and third record on Revealed, released my first official remix, signed with a variety of other labels and received great support by Nicky Romero, Kygo, KSHMR, Mike Williams and many more.
2022 was another successful year with reaching 14K subscribers on my RU-vid channel, over 2M streams on Spotify and the launch of my own label Backlit Music.
This is awesome to see cuz I really wanna learn how to mix and master my own EDM music. I got one of my Dance tracks signed to a label but I wanna learn how to do it to perfect a professional sound.
Is it possible I could get the Vocals even though the challenge is over?... Just need a really nice vocal like this, to practice making EDM tracks. I mostly make Hip hop haha.
Wow I'// definitely try this method for Mastering. Fsr it's always been hard 4me to understand the uses of Compression and stuff when in the Mastering stages (disregarding compression used within the elements during the mixdown) but with this method not having to involve any of that and mostly just using ur ears and insight, it makes things seem a lot simpler and less complex. Thxxx
Super solid tutorial, I really appreciate how you break down how to make chord progressions. Came from a generic "THE ONLY EDM TUTORIAL YOU EVER NEED! video where the dude didn't explain jack shit 💀
Now, make an emotional progressive house drop in only 10 minutes from scratch. You cannot use MIDI packs; you make the melodies & chords yourself, implement them in any way you'd like, and boom.
I have always thought that the root note has to be the first chord! This was great thank you! I listen to and make dubstep and it blows my mind how good people are. I can make good songs but I always have trouble making chords to match the song
