Was this filmed in the Norfolk Broads in England? I lived on the Suffolk Coast for two years in the late 1970's during my USAF days. Great job sir. I am currently restoring a Victoria 18 here in the states.
Hi, thanks for watching and comment, It was filmed in tollesbury essex, my rubyblue video, first boat i ever owned was filmed in Lowestoft, good luck with your boat, im now working on a kent motor sailer,
Good choice of yacht and they do clean up well. My mini-6 has also had its exhaust rot out. Check your core plugs too, mine had worked loose with overheating, I assume. Best of fun 🎉🎉
Great video. I am the proud owner of number 303 😁 Mine has no tent. Do you know where I can get the drawing of it? I would like to make one myself. Thanks, friend!
HI, thanks for watching and for comment, sorry i dont know where you can get a drawing mine came with the boat, i have another boat now so cant even send photos of it, thanks again
I recently bought a boat identical to your boat a Langstone 15 Fisherman. I liked the pleasing sheer, the pretty hull, and the strong construction. Did you know yours could be a Langstone 15? My intention is to put a small vintage inboard engine in, which I have had in the shed for years, and make a simple sprit sail rig. Thank you for showing your short film , you are right she is a thing of beauty.
Hi thank you for watching and thanks for the comment, you could be right, i did look up the langstone 15 after reading your comment and they do look the same so thanks for the info, i was wondering what she was, she is a great working boat that i use all the time, thanks again and good luck with your one.
You have obviously put hours of unseen work into this yacht. Excellent video and soundtrack.I found the whole thing very relaxing. Looking forward to your next.
Hi Pat. Fantastic job. Enjoyed the video . I had a little bit of sadness at the end but very happy for you. You actually achieved what i wanted to do to her when I first acquired her. I was told that she was in working order and ready to sail. She was bought for me by my wife and sons as a Fathers Day present. Bought sight unseen. When i first got to visit and see her my heart dropped. I was committed as money had changed hands. I spent the next 2 years trying to do odd bits during the little spare time I had on weekends I was not working. I then realised that I was not seeing much of my family. After a very brief discussion with a very understanding and accommodating wife we moved the boat into the front garden. I have some pictures of this if you would like to add to the portfolio. She was in my front garden for about 10 years. I did little bits when I could, busy work schedule including weekend callouts. I took the odd week off now and then to try to make a bit more headway. Finally it got to the point where I was not proceeding and actually things seemed to be going backwards as work I had done now needed doing again. I lost heart and also faith in myself. I asked several people would they like to take on a project. I enquired about boat salvage, I now know where pirates work. Eventually I had a few enquiries, one seemed very positive, but his wife was diagnosed with cancer, if he is reading this I hope she is doing ok and wish her well. Then one day a very friendly chap came by whilst my wife and I were cleaning our motorcycles. He asked about the boat. I offered to him that if he wanted it then it was his. Pat that chap of course was you. I am proud to be one of your friends and extremely pleased with what you have done with Serenity. She looks great sails well. looks good in the pictures and video and is a credit to you, your hard work and your dedication. My sadness at the end of the video was just a realisation of what I wanted to achieve but couldn't, But I do feel uplifted watching the video and hearing you talk about her. A big well done from me.
Hi Bill, thanks for putting up the back story for the boat also many thanks for giving me the boat in the first place, i had a lot of fun getting her ready for sailing again and it also introduced me to a lot of great people who helped me on the boat and best of all i learnt how to sail, your a good man, thank you
