Pakistan lost the Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir due to its blunders. Maharaja Hari Singh preferred joining Pakistan . He only wanted special privileges for himself / Royalty. But Pakistani leaders showing extreme arrogance did not engage with him. Instead they chose to launch a military ( tribal ) attack on it . Pakistan violated the Standstill Agreement it ha signed with the Maharaja .. Then the Maharaja ( legally )acceded to India. Since then Pakistan has been behaving like a Bad Loser . Pakistan wants Jammu and Kashmir claiming it to be Muslim . But it could not keep a Muslim East Pakistan ( Bangladesh) with it

The power to decide whether to remain independent / chose between India and Pakistan was under the British Parliament's Lapse of Paramountcy Act was given to the Ruler and not to the public. Pakistan should have challenged this Act in the House of Lords - Gilgit , Hunza , Baltistan , Mirpur , Muzzafarabad and also Chitral were parts of erstwhile Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir which, in 1947 , legally acceded, in its entirety to India. Riyasats like Jammu and Kashmir , Kalat , Bahawalpur , Umerkot etc were covered under the Lapse of Paramountcy Act of British Parliament. We cannot be selective. Pakistan has absolutely no claim ,whether legal or moral , on even an inch sq of territory of the erstwhile Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The Pakistani version, in all counts, is just a pack of lies and abhorrent propaganda to simply cull their humiliation in their ground offensive because they failed miserably and it was their airforce who was being headed by two very able chiefs of that and their time Noor and Rtd Asghar, they both were vehement in opposing both Ayub and Bhotto in particular of keeping them out of sight of their motives. One air chief retried in disgust with Bhutoo and when decided to resign in anger. Of course their airforce faired well but most of their attacks, which subsequently, diverted and pin downed Indian offensive across ichogill canal and caused substantive damage but overall their calms were preposterous. India airforce conducted double the sorties, their penetration and attacking and damaging the enemy installations were far ahead of Pakistan’s . There dogfight kills are little more than Pakistan’s. Only in ground attritions, PAF fairer well and destroyed many parked aircrafts. But when it came to air superiority largely both were on equal terms, slightly better in PAF only because their presence in the area potentially halted IAF to come for Army’s aid especially around chumb sector and IAF was mainly employed in Kashmir sector that was most sensitive and that was under main attack and that was Pakistan’s main area of attack. So most of the airforce was employed in supplying and keeping PAF off the track because that was the main area where war as happening and where Indian ground troops were caught off guard. Pakistan boasts of their penetration deep inside India upto Ambala mainly because most of the IAF’s stations were either in Halwara or in Jammu were engaged in Kashmir sector so they took advantage of this gap but during this they dropped the bombs on church and around fuel area. Only because the whole war was designed by Pakistan army and only because their complete overrun in Sialkot sector by Indian army was halted by PAF, and only because the whole narrative building, be it academic or be it militarily record, everything was in Pakistan army’s hand and in order to placate their airforce not to disclose their blunder in public, they vacillated their airforce way out of truth. They never produced any tangible evidence of their dog fights kills. On contrary Indian airforce came up with a complete investigation after war and Pakistan exaggerated their claims mainly on the basis of Indian sources. One main reason of their facilitating the airforce way beyond the reality is because mainly their pilots were from east pak and they were very vociferous about Pak regime and infact they did saved the day for Pakistan on seven occasions. Had Indian forces have established a bridge head across ichogill canal after crossing over Lahore to support their offensive forces in supplying, which was attacked by PAF on 13 September , which subsequently brought India’s ground offensive under huge stress, otherwise Indian forces would have reached deep inside Lahore or would have cut down and would have surrounded Paki army from all around from Sialkot Only that was the defining moment where Indian army’s bold and decisive tactics got halted. The whole post war brought huge humiliation for Pakistan, because earlier they we’re claiming their Islamic masculinity over timid Hindus and made their countrymen believe about their victory and now after war they were seen negotiating peace with India in Tashkant brought a huge humiliation. So simply in order to save their faces they knitted this narrative and infused false stories of their bravery in their school curriculum and virtually imposed bans on writing on anything on the war outcomes. They attributed some sort of facilitations to airforce to keep them shut up.

Gen Thapa hold the position for 6 months in Skardu. There was a airstrip as well. Not sure why didn't we use air power in Skardu like we did in south ans even in sri nagar area. Skardu could have been defended if higher level military and political leadership of that time took forward steps.

Loyalty and identity of Pakistan was characterised by how much they could loot from non believers.. This was an observation my old man made on the first few days after the creation of Pakistan in 1947. Our family was stuck then in our village on the outskirts of Sialkot.

The intruders focused only on the capital city and didn't think any country would assist Maldives as fast as India responded. Hence the Hulhule airport was not secured by them.

1 batallion had1 hq coy and 4 rifle coy of 100 men each. So 500 to 600 people per battalion. Hence hardly 2500 indian men against 40000 chinese. Indians had .303 rifles, few mortars and no artillery. Chinese were equipped with ah 47s , mortars, rocket launchers and supported by mediun to heavy artillery.

The role of COAS Gen Chaudhary was that he delayed IAF induction by personally briefing pilots at Pathankot without telling them the actual situation on ground. He returned to Delhi and wasted precious 4 hours to brief CAS and get approval. At worse IAF planes bombed Indian Armoured tanks and Tpt company at Chamb as there was no Intell briefing or Army coordination.

Col Dahiya has been rightly rewarded. But the bums who put him in this predicament don’t seem to have been punished. When Op Meghdoot took place 7 months before, why was this top left unoccupied? All got saved because a helicopter came that way and warning was made available, purely by luck. Why such poor facilities at Siala post? Is this all what the country can afford for people guarding Siala? Bums enjoying in Higher HQs, while such soldiers deliver miracles. Our defense should be based on efficiency of system, not on miracles.

Coward Indian CinC. Shastri too was a frail and weak PM Till date India looks weak and defensive. 1962 was a shameless rout. Coward Nehru and his cronies till date suppresses the 1962 debacle information. 1962 ,1965 India practically a loosing forces. Always a cowardly defense by India. General Choudhury should have been court martialed. I think till today, India will be beaten with its vintage Mig fighters as it happened in 2019. How shameless for India to accept defeat and ceasefire in 1965. Rout in 1962 and ceasefire in 1965. What is there to be proud of our army . In 1971 won the war in the field but defeated by Pakistan in Shimla. India is a weak and clueless country.

All naval operation of Indian Navy were stopped immediately after Pakistan Submarine Hangoor destroyed INS Khukari on 9 of Decemaber 1971 in Arabian sea. All 200 sailors on board including Captain Mulla was drowned within 10 minutes. So powerful was PNS Submarine attack. They took revenge of Destroying Gazi in Bay of bangal. Other Indian warship was also badly damaged. It's crew survived. In a war, both get a chance to hit each ther. Why don't you tell reality to readers. I know it because, I was watching news daily in 1971.
