Documenting Minnesota weather. Emphasis on winter weather, via The Weather Channel from St. Paul, MN and NOAA weather radio from Chanhassen, MN. Personal video mixed in as well.
5:44 My boy Paul! I was always so excited to hear him. Every so often Tom would go down for whatever reason, and it would fall to ol’Paul to do the weather again like he did back in the day. Those were exciting times for my dad and I. He called Paul “the depressed Norwegian.”
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique RU-vid video that I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 5130.

I miss these other two voices. I used to always say the introduction dialogue the other male voice does, especially the "on an assigned frequency of 100 and sixtytwo point fivefive megahrtz" part. I also really liked how the girl voice said "cloooudee" and "raiinnn..." it was weirdly calming when I was little. My mom would always make fun of the voices because they are weird sounding, I have a lot of nostalgia with that too.
You have no idea how nostalgic this makes me. I watched this for hours as a kid with my dad and we heard these same warnings hundreds of times waiting for storms to pull into the cities. Was always my number one channel if there was a strong storm, then we would flip to WCCO or Fox when it got really bad for a closer play by play. The robotic voice even gives me a weird sense of comfort. The new one just isn't the same, even though it does look better. When I was watching that one I got the urge to see if anybody had this channel on tape or video. When you get older sometimes you don't realize that something as simple as a weather channel can make you miss the past. You truly don't realize what you have until it's gone.
Hey MNweatherGuy, I commented on another one of your videos but wanted to make sure you saw this! I'd love to use one of your videos (the other one I commented on) for sampling in a song I'm creating. Would that be okay with you? Thanks!!
