Just used one of these batteries and the tag on flexes, they work great! And yes, you can reuse the flex and maintain the 100% battery health if you follow exactly what they did. No programmer required
These batteries aren't full proof at all. I fitted one into my 13 pro Max and sometimes it reads 100% and then other times when you reboot the phone it says that the battery cannot be recognised then if you reboot it again the battery still stays at 100%. The battery is permanently stuck at 100% and yeah if I plug it into a third-party app it's showing that it's at 94%so these things are so unreliable. There's no way around it apart from a proper original battery or a programmable BMS
tried it with bms tag on flex, this does not work for me, after removing the flex it still shows old data even in 3utools. when flex is connected it shows 100% in 3utools only.
I’m planning on replacing my battery on a iPhone 13 Pro. Do all I need is the battery from you and tag on flex to do this? No programmer needed besides downloading the program u mentioned on my computer and swapping over the BMS to make this all work?
I got the message to go away, after I plugged in the xcap connect battery the first time by itself (without the bms component). Then I attached the bms to the xcap connect battery and I powered the phone on with the lightning cable. After I did this the unknown parts message went away.
Retain userdata doesn't allow the fix battery health option. At least it didn't for me. I had to restore from backup once the battery health was fixed.
Once the firmware is flashed, being that it is custom firmware, will it prevent future ios updates? If not, then could a future update bring back the battery % issue?
hi i have updated to 17.5 using new xcap battery with bulit in flex and now get unreconginized battery i have also used 3 u tool battery fix but still the same
@injuredgadgets my moto x gen 2 doesnt turn on even after leaving it overnight in a charger. green led light blinks once when power button is held down, screen remains black. any ideas as to what might be wrong?
At 11:36 you missed one spot at the bottom right corner. Also when referring to any chip alignment you must use the right terminology on how to align any chip. It has a single dot on one of the corners of the chip that corresponds with relative mark (triangle or dot) on the board. By saying use the QR code as an alignment spot and If someone doing this job with the assembly being rotated he could possibly position the IC wrong! So use the only right way to describe the orientation and position of chip alignment so no misunderstanding.
The OnePlus 7 has been my daily driver for nearly 5 years now, and it's been a comprehensively marvelous experience. I managed to get the 8/256 version for $450 in mid-2019, and I still hold that there has never been a better value in the phone market. Even today, it is remarkably fast and consistent - I'd say about 85% of what it was new. I plan to replace the original battery very soon, but the fact that it has made it through ~1700+ days of deep cycling without a single issue (other than the inevitable capacity drop) is extremely rare and impressive. At this point it's still nowhere near slow enough to would justify buying a new device, so I expect to keep using and abusing it for several more years.
I bought one of these but for some reason any model I try to fix truedepth from iphone 11 pro to 12promax doesn't work , i follow the same steps and it works from iPhone 11 downward . What could be the problem ? I need help
hi I have the latest xcap battery with out welding the phone after the latest update 17.4.1 is now reading the original capicity and not 100 percent i have flashed it on 3 u tool battery fix it still reads the original capicity. i have also tried taking out the battery and tried another battery to get important battery message then inserted the new xcap battery that you dont need weld and it still reads the original capicity please can anybody help. are these batteries capatiable with the new ios 17.4.1
That’s because your most likely using an LCD screen. The original is an OLED but as LCD screens have a backlight, it requires more power. Cheaper screens also use more battery consumption
Yeah definitely sounds like you put in an lcd. If you paid less than $60 it’s definitely an lcd. I just went through this myself. I replaced the battery and display on my daughter’s iPhone 13 mini and I had 3 options; LCD for around $30, hard OLED for $50-60, soft OLED for $75-85. She’s 13 and could care less about oled, she even urged me to take the cheapest route possible and I was tempted but ultimately I didn’t because the battery in the 13 mini is so small I knew it would be a bad move to throw an lcd in there especially for a kid who isn’t as diligent about charging and uses a phone a lot out and about during the day. I sucked it up and went soft oled even though it was by far the most expensive. I couldn’t pass up the draw of the durability as she is rough on this phone. It’s her first and about two years old now. If only I can get this dang xcap connect to read 100% health instead of the old 74 id be in perfect shape right now. I’ve tried everything. Many time over
@@michaelv1984Download 3uTools and quick flash the device. Make sure to check the box that says to fix battery health percentage. The phone should now say 100%
So much for the right to repair. Apple is clearly making it increasingly harder to repair everything, including screens, which used to be pretty easy/straightforward, and did not require chip transfers from the original phone screen, to the replacement phone screen :'(
Informative guide but this did not work for me. Steps I took using iPhone 12 (original battery health = 'Service'), iOS 17.2.1 and XCap BMS Battery Cell with XCap tag on flex: 1. Perform BMS Swap. 2. Boot iPhone with power cable 3. Shut down iPhone. 4. Boot iPhone with side button, Battery health shows 100%. 5. Remove tag on flex and Boot iPhone. Battery health still shows 100% so all good up to this point. 6. Update iPhone to iOS 17.4.1 using 3uTools Quick Flash mode with Fix Battery health option checked. Battery health and 3UTools now report 81%. Retried the Quick Flash mode with Fix Battery health option checked and both still report 81%. Any ideas why this did not work? Does it make a difference if the original battery health was saying 'Service'. Should I have upgraded to iOS 17.4.1 BEFORE performing the BMS swap?
Been trying this with a 12 Pro, tried 5 times and even tried another battery it just will not get rid of the non-genuine error Is there a glitch with certain batteries? Tried 2 different xcap connects just incase. Never had an issue with thus process until today
Great video thank you. I replaced new cell with original BMS cable.(tag on , W09 pro) then i did flush wit use 3utools. battery health shown 100% but still remain "service" message. (Before shown 68%) Do you know how to fix? 12 pro , ios ver 17.3 ,17.4.1 and 17.5 was same situation.
Definitely a cool product and works well. But every time I have to origami one of these into place, it reminds me how much Apple hates the repair world and its consumer base. lol
This is starting to seem like a lot of work lol. It’s not working for me. Idk if there’s a difference between 3utools windows and Mac versions, but it’s not even giving me the option to flash the battery on the Mac version.
Hello broo Iam here to thankyou about the 8 years old video i know its quite late but in that video you showed that how to fix the screen touch and by the instructions you fixed my phone ..! Lots of love broo❤❤
