Great video! I still have my first 5 tapes I got for my bday..in 80s. I've been enjoying getting back into it and I also like buying some new ones. Looking forward to more vids, rock on.
Physical media is just better. I grew up having to buy dvds to watch movies. And having to get CD's if i wanted to listen to music. I hate streaming and adds.
Unfortunately, one of the negatives of pre-recorded compact cassettes is that the sound quality wasn't that good on many tapes. It was only near the end of cassette's heyday that the Record Industry made an effort to improve the sound quality.
Thought the show was a bit hypocritical. It’s about human consumption messing up the earth, yet the entire Sphere is a monument to human consumption. Building it was costly and I’m sure required burning fossil fuels, the tech stuff inside also cost a lot, and they sell overpriced snacks. If they at least ostensibly tried to build the Sphere emphasizing sustainability and green living, Postcard from Earth’s message would strike a more believable tone
Yesterday I got a series S for $100nzd ( around $60 ) brand new sealed! the catch? it came with a 24 month code for gamepass my friend wanted and paid $250NZD for it ( orignal price $350 but I got the series S for $100 )
You are depressing. All I heard was complaining. Why are you worried about a Sphere lawsuit that you’ll never have to worry about? Jesus… thanks for turning me off of the Sphere. “I love how easily entertained people are?” Who the fuck are you??
The guitar doesn’t play itself, guitars, pedals and amps are a guitarist tool box, find one guitar you love and play that guitar. As your skill and technique develops this is when you can explore other guitars. Choosing a guitar your favorite guitarist plays, may not always resonate with you as a player, this can be frustrating, the individual player is the only one that can choose the right guitar for there playing. Imitation is the best form of flattery, it can also be the worst enemy of another player’s creativity.
I would suggest you watch "cassette comeback" on RU-vid, he will give lots of advice on audio cassettes. I would say but a good quality 1980/1990 cassette deck. Avoid BPC (Black plastic crap) but you will need to spend about $200-$400 for an excellent sounding cassette deck. I would absolutely recommend a nakamichi BX2/2, 480Z, BX125/150..... the 480Z would be the best of them. Find one fully serviced by a competent person and you will be blown away by the sound quality. Other decks to look for would be the technics RS-M 250 or Sony TC-K 61 to 81 all extremely good decks.
