Amazing work!! I just bought this setup because of you and I am so excited to try it out! I was wondering with the PL mount of the Dulens what converter did you use and did you have to use any shims to get the focus right? Also what’s been your favorite lens of the set that you seem to use the most?

I use the "NiSi ATHENA PL-DJI DX Adapter for PL Mount Lenses to DJI DL Mount Cameras" I havent shimmed any of my lenses yet! (not the best plan of attack for me haha, but they have all been great out of box so far) I would have to say my favorite lens off tops has been the 58mm! BUT I love them all pretty equally lol

Its amazing what you created here! I want to buy this lens but I've heard of some quality control issues. One being that the focus ring is stiff and the other is that it has trouble focusing to infintiy. Did you see any issues with this lens??
Thank you!🙏🏼🔥 And honestly all of the ones that I had used were perfect, I didn't face any issued at all! If anything they were better built than some of the more expensive glass I have used throughout the years.
Excellent! The 35mm looks a little too wide to my eye, especially on full frame. This 50mm seems to hit the sweet spot. How're you finding the bokeh and compression? Subbed. Love the grade, btw 👍
Thank you!!🔥🙏🏼 lots more coming soon! And I love them all TBH, they all have their own look and with little touches you can clean it up or make it even more aggressive in post. That being said the compression is awesome with the 50 & 75, the 35 is also cool cuz you can get close and still be super wide and show of the character and large background.
It should all be very soon from my understanding! They wanted to further fine tune the manufacturing to make sure everyone gets a high quality product🔥🙏🏼 I am very excited myself, the prototype was already plenty good for me haha

This footage is insane man! Beautiful colors and movement - had this quiet raw intensity to it. Everyone is looking at DZOFilm Vespids/Arles but these Dulens APO Mini primes are slept on big time right now imo.
Thank you very much!🔥🙏🏼 And yes I would have to agree, the Dulens set is a MEGA sleeper IMO, they are everything I wanted them to be and some. Don't get me wrong the Vespids, Athenas, Aries are all amazing too. But for the look I wan't these fit me and my style the best!
All of these shots were first try!🔥 it was super cold out so we were limited and freezing haha but it really is that good especially if you calibrate them fully when getting each lens set up!🙏🏼

Thank you for that Phill! I did not use counter weights for the lenses, they mount up and balance perfectly! Also everything was sound design, I had my mic settings all messed up when I shot so nothing scratch was usable haha
Uhhff, Brother... I know some people say the 4D image looks "underwhelming" but man.... What codec did you use? Lowlight performance looks insane too, any denoising applied?
Whats up Phill! This was all captured in ProRes422HQ! And yes haha I hear all kinds of things about it, from my view, those are people that never actually used it and don't know how to grade. This camera is highly underrated IMO! Zero denoising was added to this🤙🏼

I’ve been thinking about pulling the trigger for a while now… I feel like the 8k has a lot of improvements over the 6k, the only thing that worries me is file sizes.. I think I would still be shooting at least most of my personal projects in h.264 have you tried that and does it make a big difference in terms of dynamic range?

Looking at getting these for my ronin 4d 6k and also debating getting the 8k head. Have you tried the 6k version to compare with the 8k? If so what are your thoughts on the quality difference? Also the footage you shot on the dulens was “chefs kiss”

That means a ton🔥 I have been LOVING this combo to say the least haha, as for testing out the 6K I unfortunately cant speak on it, although I have seen some amazing work put out with the 6K. It was the 8K version is what made me jump into the system, Its unfortunate to say but going from the Ursa 12K I shot 90% of my work in 8K and they quality you see in 8K was just fun to work with in post, so when I saw the 8K version drop I had to go with it based on my prior experience. Also, I love tech, so I would say for sure upgrade! BUT a secondary market for the 6K head will be challenging so it depends big time on your needs. Not sure if that helps! Best, Shawn

Whats up Paperdreamsstudios! The lenses are great, the 28 was my favorite due to its size. But now you can get some better options that are smaller from Laowa, Blazar, Sirui, and the list goes on! As for the Triassic primes, those have been very exiting as well, I actually have the 50mm Prototype that I am testing now. Its quite an amazing lens and the build is identical to the APO Minis! Whats up Jimmy! Thank you for that🔥 and when it comes to the color, its was all done in DaVinci Resolve through CSTs and other built in effects. I actually used a Powergrade that I created for this one, not to shout myself out lol but I do sell them on my website. If you were interested I have not publicly launched them but I would be happy to give you a discount code. I originally created them based on B-RAW when I had my Ursa 12K but then I had some friends test them as well and they started using them on their S-Log3 footage as well as their drone footage and they worked quite well as long as you change your color space to be whatever camera you shot on. If you're applying a PG to your footage does that mean ideally everything sits in the same exposure/lighting scenario? I'm shooting on an FX30 and editing in resolve, still having to smooth out some bumps when it comes to exposure and WB in post. Dulens lenses look awesome too, hey.
