Thanks for checking out MTT Poker School. I'm Gareth James, SCOOP champion, author of The Final Table and Purposeful Practice for Poker, host of the Poker On The Mind podcast, poker player and, most importantly, your new tournament poker coach.
Yeah but also normal 60 to 40 % chance with AK and he needs help Pockets like all Time not. And lower Stacks i think nearly everybody calls it no 1 cares their about gto or other Things just Play and have Fun no 1 theire likes Professor plays like in High Stacks what Kills a lot of Fun in the Game from my View, make it much more complicated make Poker easy/understanding 4 normal Players again.
I'm new to this channel. I was surprised by the solvers BB jamming range against a 14.3 stack min-raise. I think in a lot of live tournaments not only is the BB playing very passively, the button is probably over-folding to 3b jams.
I believe your misunderstanding. Those percentages are not percentage of range. It’s percentage of that action with that hand. Strange this video insists with such poor wording unless I’m misunderstanding even more lol.
Not sure about higher stakes, but I personally don't think anyone in mid/low stakes would call a turn overbet with 2p or set on the turn, as 2p has like 4 outs, sets a bit more. If we node that the only hand that is calling an overbet is a strong flush, queens begin to check the turn.
@@MTTPokerSchool I don't mean they're wildly different in any given spot, just that every spot has some minor differences. I'd have thought that as ranges are derived from mathematical/computing principles, then they'd always come out exactly the same (provided the parameters are the same, as in 20bb stack depth vs 2bb open, for example). Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding how the whole process works. Maybe it's the case that a computer could hone it's strategies against itself over billions of iterations and produce slightly different results if it were to repeat the whole process on another occasion. I suppose I'm just wondering why there isn't some agreed upon industry standard.
@@rotrot27 ok that's cool, thanks for clarifying, I understand what you're saying. If the parameters are exactly the same, then the differences can just come down to the accuracy of the sim. But there are lots of parameters that could be slightly different that will affect the ranges, e.g. raise size, 3-bet size, all-in threshold, postflop sizes, max flats, etc.
@@MTTPokerSchool Ah, right. I wasn't considering much beyond opening sizes and 3-bet sizes. Makes sense. And thanks for taking the time to respond, by the way.
I got one questions about the app before going for a subscription, does it have ICM symmetric pre flop ranges for ,say, 50% pool left, 18% pool left 10% pool left and so on?
At the moment there are symmetric preflop ranges for 75%/50%/25% and cEV. The plan is to add asymmetric solutions for different stages of the tournament in the future including bubbles, final table bubbles and final tables.
@@MTTPokerSchool thanks for the info,It would be nice that you add Symmetric ranges after the bubble aswell(15% aprox) .I guess that's way more useful than 75% left which is close enough to chipev.
You're right, it doesn't do anything that GTO Wizard can't do. But it's a lot simpler to use and will keep you more focused on the leak you're trying to fix.
Very cool app! Would it make sense to add a slider to filter out hands with lower than X EV to somewhat simulate ICM pressure? Imho precise/simplified switch could be on the main page
Wow just amazing! When you practice Vs RFI in later position doesn’t all options get so divided like 25% reraise and next is reraise 35% etc How does this look in the simplified version ?
Unless I'm misremembering, I don't think you had any preflop 3bet-bluffs in this tournament (perhaps not on the entire stream). Is that a normal part of your approach or does it depend on the type of tournament?
@@MTTPokerSchool It's a good question and now I wish I'd noted some down! It was more of a general observation - I just would have expected such a spot to come up at some point playing this many hands. But good to know that it's not your normal approach. Thanks for replying.
How do you figure Lena’s fold with AKo from the bb looks nitty? At best you’re flipping against 2 other players? With multiple stacks under 7bb, that would be icm suicide
Did you watch the video? It's not a nitty fold at all, it's a great fold. If you know Lena, you know he's definitely not a nit and that's why the video is titled like that. Apologies for any confusion or if you felt it misled you 😕
Hey how long do they take to get back to you after emailing them ? have made payment but haven't heard from them when trying to get my account unlocked. Thanks
@@MTTPokerSchool what is the highest Ram that you need? And what is the number of Ram that you usually need? I’m trying to figure out how much ram do I need on my computer.
@@MackiaveliPoker probably 16GB minimum, 32GB to be safe. That's for 4 players postflop max and 3 callers pre with 50bb average stacks. If you're running deepstack trees with multiple callers preflop then you'll need considerably more.
Is there a way to do this when facing a raise with multiple calls to see what we can shove from shove in BB covering everyone in early stage of tournement?
Yeah, you can do this. Make sure you allow for overcalls. On the Betting Setup window scroll down to Allow Flats and make sure you have a number higher than 1 next to Opens. You can change this number to however many calls there are. Then it should show you your strategy in the BB. Let me know how you get on.
