I hope to be posting videos of CAD tutorials or tips for Matrix and Zbrush. I also will post some of the other things I enjoy making. I hope you'll enjoy anything I'm able to post. Thanks for checking out my channel and be sure to visit my site.
The halo is a mesh. That's why you couldn't extract the isocurve. I think the micro cutter for the stones and the center micro cutter to create a french style prong would have been a better choice for the prongs on the halo and the shank, rather than actual round prongs. Nice video!
Yes, but so we’re the other t spline meshes. Normally I can always extract isocurve on a tspline as long as it’s on the high quality setting if that makes sense. I just checked and did a bunch of undo's until I got back to the t-spline halo before booleans. The extract isocurve worked just fine this time. I've learned that sometimes the program can go a bit crazy and there are little things you usually can do to work around the bug. Another example would be smart flow. Depending on the version of the updated program you have it will change, but for the most part if you try and flow from one surface to another and nothing is flowing, you can just re load the file and it works again. Little things like that.
I used adobe premiere for the video. I used Matrix and Zbrush software for the CAD file and design. I then had the wax grown and I then cast it silver.
I don't know of a command to resize bangles. You could try just 3d scaling it if there are no stones. If you needed to keep stones the same size you could try cage edit parts of it. Or if you have a surface that you are flowing to you could always scale the bangle surface and the patterns will follow.

I have a question on the part you fix to set the pressure can you decrease the pressure the same as you do to put the pressure on gauge or you can't decrease?
I like them so far. I did have to change them out one other time right before an alignment because they were leaking. I think they leaked because of the alignment issue. After the alignment they have worked great. I needed the alignment because I also changed out my front struts.
You should never assemble the parts of an O2 regulator with your bare hands. The presence of any body oil or other contaminants can result in spontaneous combustion when exposed to high-pressure O2. Wear non-lint producing gloves.
I'm no expert in repairs as this was my first time ever trying to repair a regulator. I'd say if you can find the part then try and fix it. If not then maybe it's time to get a new one.
I'm glad you got something from it. That makes it worth it to post. It's not a training video though. Just shows what I did to make it work and not have to buy a new one.
I strongly suggest studying the factory manuals (you can download most of them) and if doing oxygen regulators learning to clean to oxygen safe standards.
Do you just do a search for Victor SR 450 D regulator manual, because I am not finding one? I have a oxygen and acetylene regulator that I need to rebuild since there is nobody even remotely close to rebuild it. From what I gather nobody like to rebuild them because of the liability. After reading all the stories of what you can do and shouldn't do, I just purchased a new set, but I would like to rebuild the old set. I found on the net that you can't just use any soluble soap to clean, like Dawn soap since it contains petroleum and poses a fire hazard. And the grease (krytox grease) for the "T" handle on the valve is insanely costly. After figuring in all the cost, you can almost purchase a new regulator set for the specialty items you have to purchase.
Ouch!! Vicegrips on brass?? ...why? Edit: you can omit the bottom pair of vicegrips by screwing the regulator securely to the bottle with face pointing up and service the whole thing like that and tape up the jaws of your vice grips or use an automotive wrench (aka F wrench) or a plumber's spud wrench or some smooth jawed channel locks. Just saying, from craftsman to craftsman, gummed up brass is the sign of a hack posing as a craftsman. ..its like those "handyman" types who have a bucket of tools painted a bunch of different company colors. Here's a tip. Next time you see a used bicycle inner tube, cut it up into long strips along its seam lines. Roll them up and use them for shit like wrapping your regulator so you can grip it in your vicegrips without marring it. Its also useful for tying up cords, wrap hammer handle, blah, blah, blah...
@@JustinThorup no problem. I just reread my comment. I didn't mean to unload like that. I must have been bored. But I find it kinda strange that I was just messaging my buddy about the rebuild kits I got for my regulators. I mean, like , 40 min ago or something... Coincidence or AI enhanced algorithms? ..? Lol
j dog no problem. I’m definitely no expert. I make jewelry and this is the first time I had to repair this in 20 years. I may never have to do it again. Have fun with yours. :)
@@JustinThorup haha.. Have fun with mine? ..which one.. Lol ..I've got more than 5 different sets of them. Victor, Harris, Smith, Dayton, Craftsman. For a while, it was cheaper to buy people's oxy/acet rigs on craigslist, than it was to swap out empties at airgas. then, take all the empties down and trade 3 empties for 1 full at a local welding supply. ..but yea, when they start giving you trouble, I found that a quick disassembly and cleaning gets it back working fine but with oxygen, it's a good idea to wear rubber gloves and only use dish soap n water.

We also made a video of a handmade ring out of two existing wedding rings, take a look! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-70cCguWMWzQ.html
If you are in Matrix 9 you can go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix90\Library\Bermark and you'll see those folders. Just add a folder with the name you want and you can start saving or exporting objects into the library of your choice.
I can not tell you which is better because I have not worked with Rhinogold or 3design so my suggestion would be unfair. I have always used Matrix and love it. I've been able to create a lot with it. As with any program there are advantages and disadvantages to all programs. The support for Matrix is great though and the community is very helpful.

Justin, Great Vid., your reg is a Firepower reg, which is really a Victor import. It is identical to the Victor SR5B. The kit you bought wasn't the exact kit you need, but the seat assembly for the SR250 and the SR5B are identical. Now you have a diaphragm that will bounce around on your bench for a few years. Finally you'll throw it away, and one of your friends will need it the next day. I have parts like that laying all over the place. This is a shameless product placement, but I have the kits for most popular regs on eBay. Check out our store if you need any other kits. You'll save a few bucks and we include Krytox grease to assist in a perfect rebuilt. I'm starting to see a need for repair tutorials for gas apparatus. anyway, thanks for sharing. Oh, quick tip. You can put the inlet stem in the vise perpendicular to the rotation of the cap, and then use a pin spanner wrench to remove the cap without marring it.

A lot depends on diamond quality and metal cost at the time the ring is made, etc. If you would like a quote on a similar ring you can contact me through my site. www.danaarts.com/contact/
Hello Justin, I have learned so much through your videos, thank you for taking your time to make and upload the tutorials. I only have 25 t-splines in my matrix 8 which I have used all, how can I get more?
Hey I loved the music. The close up of the fire really got me going to haha. Is It a denatured alcohol /borax/tsp mix ? Awesome final product, the diamonds really made it pop!
