I’ll be honest the first bad part is the setting up with having your back towards the enemy and then there’s the fact that thing is thinner than my mothers pans
Hey there! Thanks for the question. When training with shooting barricades, your aiming strategy depends on factors like barricade height, target distance, and shooting angle. Typically, aim center or slightly lower for full cover, adjust for bullet drop at longer distances, and consider the target's visibility. It's all about practice and adapting to different scenarios! Thanks for watching!
A much better approach would be to have a shield more akin to early anti-tank guns, ie with a degree of curvature, and designed to be pushed, not pulled. A slightly wider curved shield would obviously weigh a bit more, but the increased protection would be significant. Also, by being pushed forward, it could be deployed in a tactical situation (pushed out from behind cover, eg to protect an EMS team).
I don't run the ear muffs hearing protection. I run the in the ear type. That way, if I have to ditch the helmet, I still have hearing protection. I also run a white light because that is more useful for what I need. My eye protection are a good set of glasses. Again, if I need to ditch the helmet I still have eye protection. It does matter what you do and how you're running your equipment.
I haven't had the chance to test it yet. but I heard that gasoline for volatility and half diesel oil for burning to last longer. It would also be cool to test 2/3 gasoline and 1/3 cooking oil since oil expires longer than gasoline, but it's difficult to catch fire on its own
Level IIIA+ helmets such as the Busch PROtective AMP-1 E are solid choices against handgun threats, but they are not built to handle rifle bullets like the ones fired from an AK-47, including the 7.62x39mm round. Rifle rounds pack a serious punch with higher velocity and penetration power. For AK-47 protection, you're looking at specialized helmets with plates rated at least III or IV. Always crucial to match your gear with the specific threats you might face out there.
This guy has a seriously faulty understanding of helmet mount component compatability. One of the primary jobs of any competent armorer or quartermaster is to make things work together. Whether it's a drop in part, or needs to be modified, you come up with some kind of solution, or you aren't going to be a guy I trust to supply helmets.
Bullets have high energy but low momentum. It won't break that locking mechanism no matter how many rounds you fire. The armor will puncture before then.
applying ancient war technology like the shield and spear can make the modern soldier have more survivability in the battlefield. all soldier must have ballistic shield, the size use in crowd control, that can stop a 7.62 caliber or even a .50 caliber slug then on the other hand is using the "spear" a 5.56 or 7.62 rifle. a soldier in open ground can have more survivability with the ballistic shield and a rifle.
I made level III NIJ shield built like part cut out of JLTV and welcome to see real military grade Level 3 NIJ modern war fighter shield that could be strapped to Stryker or any up armored Humvee like a Harley Davidson bike to Cargo trailer securely ; unfastened in seconds for what will be biblical battle yet to come in Jerusalem… CBA Systems Linked in 👍🫵🏻 😢
A few generous Iraqis donated their homes for me to use as a shoot house, mud brick is a good backstop for 5.56 I used to have to travel hours to use a shitty tire stack shoot house, this is really neat, screw that last long hallway
Better than a rifle round through the chest, and you can still shoot back with a broken arm with high pain tolerance/adrenaline. Plus, not every caliber is going to knock your arm that hard.
