They are definitely rallying to the ball this year! Robert Livingston has put together a solid defensive plan and the players are executing it! Hands down best all around game/win in Coach Prime's Colorado career, that's for sure!such a complete game outside of Travis' 100yd game streak going on. They looked completely different than theg ever have!
People like you are so dry, bland and just a straight up downer. There was nothing wrong with Travis’ celebration after the INT. You act like he did a Key & Peele skit type celebration all he did was hit the Heisman pose
@@Jesse-x8u yes he is playing really good! But Travis is doing it both ways and that will make the difference, if he just played one way he has no chance!
I think Travis probably told him .. he dosent care just throw the dang ball to the 10 hash mark and I’ll make the play! This is real Goat mentality we are witnessing when a play needs to be made.
There is a receiver open when he hits the back foot of his drop on every play in this breakdown. He isn't ready to throw the ball on any of them. He made one throw with anticipation, and you called it the best play of the game. He is not reading the defense and getting the ball out of his hands. Let's be real, if this were any other qb and he took 8 sacks on the film you just showed, you would be saying that this is a quarterback problem and not an oline problem. Almost the whole video is Shedeur missing reads or turning down easy completions, the end result is a lost yardage due to sacks. Every missed block by the oline can't turn into a sack. He is never going to have enough time to sit back and wait for a receiver to beat a guy by 10 yds. If they are going to look for deep shots all game, then he has to pick a matchup that he likes and let it rip. Even when he has taken deep shots this year, he has underthrown most of them because he is not getting rid of the ball on time. His guys are making plays for him though, look at the play Wester made on that last deep ball. He beat his man on a go route outside, crossed the defender and snagged the ball off his shoelaces. Shedeur has to get the ball out of his hands to give his receivers more chances to make plays. If he keeps holding on to the ball, Colorado will continue to struggle against teams that are not as good as they are. And they will continue to lose to teams that have equal or better talent than they do.
You wrote all that to prove you don’t know football quarter backing, a qb has reads on passing plays, just cause you see a receiver open doesn’t mean that was his first 2 or 3 reads. Also when you’re getting sack or hit a lot, a human being will instantly start looking at the line when he starts to feel pressure in order to adjust the pocket or get out of the way
@@Polymath1998 You get it! Video breakdown will always show open players which is why they watch video! We can break it down and make it seem easy, so we have to take that into account when doing these breakdowns.
@@Polymath1998 you're right, i don't know football... it's almost like I don't know that people have spent the last few years (Jackson State too) making excuses and blaming the oline for Shedeur's poor decision making. It's almost like I shouldn't expect him to be able to read a defense pre snap and have an idea of where he needs to go with the football regardless of what his progression might be. No quarterback in the history of football has ever come off of their progression to check the ball down when they feel pressure, so it's probably not fair to expect him to be able to do that. You're right...Shedeur can do no wrong, I guess I probably shouldn't mention that he has now taken 125 sacks in 3 1/2 years as a starting quarterback. Now, let's just ignore that consistent pattern of performance and we can all be happy and go back to putting the blame on every offensive lineman that he has ever played with.
@@BuffsNewsWeekly This is just a piece of advice, take it or leave it. Try not to get involved in the name calling or trash talk about people that have different opinions than you do. The comment section will do more than enough of that on their own. Deion has brought a ton of new eyes to the Colorado program, he is doing things very differently, it's polarizing. But here we go with the cliche "you don't know football" comment from the peanut gallery and you double down on it. I watched your video, all of it. I can tell that you are a fan who enjoys the game, wants to break down film, talk football, and maybe make some money doing it. Your channel is relatively new, and you have been grinding, putting out a ton of content. I respect it, and I subscribed to your channel. I am very critical, I expect people to attack my opinions, we can debate those, no need to join in and attack my "football iq". You know what I mean but I will give an example just to be a smartass. You stop your video about the 21:45 mark to talk about how great Omarion Miller's route is and how he turns the defender around, which he does. The problem with it is he is 23 yards downfield before he makes his break on a corner route. They're running a mirrored routes with two corners, two guys in the flat and a check down over the middle. Look at the difference between Travis' route and Miller's route. It's not even close. Who do you think is running it like they drew it up? It ruined the timing of the play. Now, I still think the quarterback should have given up on it quicker, hit his checkdown, or thrown the ball away. See, I can disagree with your opinion without calling you names or trying to insult your intelligence. Doing that will eventually turn people away from your channel. I really do wish you the best of luck and hope your channel keeps growing. Sorry for the long ass comment.
Trevor Reilly says CU is f***ing Coach Prime with their demand for wins, but no NIL money to attract top-tier talents to the program. I don’t see how the coach stays if this continues after this season!
It's absolute fuckery, but coach prime is one of the few coaches with the right connections, putting 100's of nil offers on the table for his players via speed dial...🤷🏾 I think they playing the wrong game with the right one😉😁
@@lisadavis8909 again I said numerous times until I watch the tape I won’t say one way or the other. I also said Shedeur is still the best QB in the country and accounts for 86% of the offense!!! I said I want to see the tape to see what is happening
The hell with that, bench Will Sheppard. Will from what I've seen is not better than Miller or Timmons. Will's big, stiff, and slow. Will looks like he runs a 4.7, maybe a 4.66 at best. His complaint last year, Will couldn't separate against SEC corners. He can't separate against any corner unless they're in zone. I've seen Will make 1 catch when in man to man coverage. He's the 4th option while lining up like a 1 or 2. Most of the catches I've seen Will make, he had no one covering him. Defenders do not fear Will Sheppard.
Our DEs might not get the most pressure, but they're damn good agents the run. Barnes ate up blocks, Shane penetrating the O-line at DT. Our linebackers? Hill Green has been outstanding. Much better than the Marvin Ham, and bad Bentley last year.
@@BuffsNewsWeekly I believe it and the Buffs have played primarily running teams. Some people are complaining about pressure. I think sacks and pressure is more important in the pass happy NFL. The league where tire defenders hands behind their back and fine them for making a hard tackle. Our LBs have benefited by having decent DTs. Shane has stepped his game up big time. The added size and strength has Shane stopping guards in their track. Proud of him!
Always good to win and have things to work on.Game like this to me pulls team closer.Makes people listen to coaching.3-1 and just win I don't care how!
With Omarion n will Sheppard, I think will needs more time in the slot replacing Tay, and having Omarion on the outside. When every Omarion comes in for someone they need to put Sheppard in the slot n that will increase his production
@@Polymath1998 He's not quick enough for the slot unless you send him crossing routes and digs where he could use his big body to shield off defenders. Will Sheppard is a long strider, those types usual struggles with quickness.
@@tydw1911 The issue being, Will has been unremarkable. He's only open against zone coverage and he can't separate from decent corners. He doesn't come back to the ball much either. You sorta forget he's on the field half of the game. Now he's a hella of a blocker, big body guy but slow and stiff. His potential is maxed out which is just a possession WR who knows the soft spots in zone defense. I think a lot folks expected a bigger version of Weaver. I knew that wasn't the case, he couldn't outrun man coverage at Vanderbilt. Sheps potential is maxed out and he's the 4th option while lining up as the 2. Timmons and Miller are nearly the same size, but they offer a lot more speed than what Sheppard can offer. Anybody can catch a 1 ball for 5 yards. It takes a special person to come down with the ball when the game is on the line. The play Omarion made, Sheppard couldn't make that play. He's too stiff and slow.
@@lisadavis8909 for real! Luckily we are back over where we were sub wise thanks to everyone watching this live! I always appreciate it! SKO buffs!!! 🦬🦬🦬🦬
Unfortunately your commentary is probably spot on. If Shedeur is frequently checking out of run plays or effectively turning RPO plays into pass plays then CP and Shurmur need to make the changes. Right now this looks like a boost Shedeur's stock effort and not a let's win effort. Sadly, it's really neither. There are no accolades for players on losing teams anyway. Russ, I like your channel. You provide some interesting and thoughtful insights.
@@Bob-gi9nt well and after last game Shedeurs draft stock has taken a hit… if he plays the scheme and succeeds teams will see that! Look at a guy like JJ Mcarthy, both a winner and guy that played in the system
Nebraska let off the gas in the 2nd half just like Matt did with Utep week before to save total embarrassment out of respect. Colorado secondary was running right into the back of their linemen. lol I admit Matt would have took a pass TD from the freshman if happened though in 2nd half..my thoughts. Think better watch the tapes again Russ. Nebraska proved the everything they wanted in first half & hold the bragging rights for many years! Go Big Red!🏈
@@BuffsNewsWeekly never got to have this back in the big 8 days. lol. Woo. Not sure if your old enough to remember the 90's . Kordell and biememy. Frazier and Green.
As a University of Kentucky Football fan we go through way too many shares of heartbreak and sorrow in the UK Football program. I like Colorado and what I see is a HEARTBREAKING view and I don't think that Prime Time is the guy for this wonderful Program. It hurts me to see this because college football needs a successful Colorado Buff football program. Just my opinion and they are just like "A"Holes and everyone has one, but it would be in Colorados Best interest to cut ties with Prime Time and get a good coach that can build a solid foundation on rock rather than sand. Just saying, Go Cats and Go Buff's...

Eeeeeww David. You moved to Texas? That's gross bro 😆 . Sorry for you. I saw 6:05pm MST kickoff. Don't be late. I went back and watched some NDSU games, including against Arizona last year. They scare me. Lots of motion and eye candy routes on offense. Their defense plays with heart and hustle. Buffs win, but maybe not the 42-17 score I have been thinking. SKO BUFFS! 🦬
