I fix everything and always have a lot of fun…Travel, Kiteboarding, Cars, DIY, Business, Startups and some home projects, and food. Basically anything I think other people might want to know about. I do lots of stuff, if only I had time to make more videos!
though I will add for anyone watching this video, in having had to dissemble my roof and deal with front hook problems, in general you should NOT have to remove all the trim around the sun visors to deal with front hooks. to release latched hooks, pull back from the cable in the upper motor (unless you like me had a detached cable head, in which case you have to reach around the back of the upper part of the front slider, stick the hook in the hole and pull back) to LATCH the front sliders manually, disengage the upper motor, move the roof to almost close and push the slider forward with a screw driver) UNLESS of course your front hook is ziptied shut (as this one is) in which case you have no choice but to remove the cover and cut the zip tie.
Thanks for the great idea! Connected the Xiaomi TV stick to the HDMI to RCA adapter. Video works OK-ish (the quality reminds some screens on airplanes 😂). However, the sound seems to be distorted, like cranking. Tried to use different ports - same issue. Did you have any issues with sound?
What year is this car? Another youtube vid shows the drain plug at 17mm vs yours at 19mm. Does every year have that guard in the way? Another youtube vid shows the drain plug is accessible.
There were a couple of different engines offered in the bug. I know that there was a normal gas version, a turbo version, and also a diesel version. You have to check and see which one you have.
I just watched a video that showed me how to take half my door apart from the outside to get to the speaker. This looks so much easier, thank you very much! 🙂
it's funny. the first time I watched this video (about 2 months ago, after we first got our 2nd hand Smart Cabrio) I thought it was ridiculous. and useless NOW though having had to play with a number of soft top problems (some of my own doing) over the last month and Now having a better sense of how these soft tops work, this Video is BRILLIANT. in one video this guy has address most of my most perplexing Smart Roof problems. Until you are really In a soft top jam the pieces don't make any sense. and then.... they do. THank You
Can you, please, tell where is this secondary air valve in smart 451 45 kw petrol? There is no valve where it us in your car. It's terrible, we cannot find it to replace
@@katerinaa.3576 I believe the secondary air pump is not on the European models, because they do not have the same emission standards that we do in America. It kind of looks like it was an afterthought.
You did an awesome job right to the point in mins lol Thank you. Mines doesn't want to start also new used about 10 times or so How can I tell if it's the coil? Is it always the coil when it doesn't start? I changed the spark plug and clean the carbonator. It will start after a bunch of trys and turned right off
I did a transmission drain and refill by dropping the drain pan, that bolt on the drivers side control arm hits the drain pan but once dropped you have access with no issues, so I will knock out 2 birds with one stone next time. The drain pain is an easy job, filling is a pain though but they've all gone that way with "lifetime" fluid as they claim (bs).
Thank you for taking me thru the steps: setup, inflation, deflation, and repack. I was worried it would never go back into that bag! Your video has eased my mind into thinking that I can do this by myself! Thanks, friend!
The head on this weed eater sucks. It's NOT as easy as putting cord in one hole , pulling out the other and twisting knob to tighten. Does not work. Crap.
For future refernece. I went though the whole greasing the bearing and it didn’t solve the clunking. My joints are also tight. I’m now trying to remove the motor to see if I can replace the little damper inside, but that stupid yellow cable doesn’t let me work (red in your case for whatever reason)
@@RealityUniversejust buy the electric steering damper (looks like a black and green star) and replace it when you do this job. If it hasn’t failed it will soon and the clacking will come back. Greasing the bearing had nothing to do with it for me. The hardest part is dealing with the length of the wires. Both sensor and power connectors. In my Prius I couldn’t get to where the cable connected up in the dash so I had to carefully tug on the cables and put some boxes to hold the weight of the pieces below them. You’re trying to get to the two 12mm bolts that hold the motor to the rack. Once you take those off you’ll see all the green broken bits everywhere that allow for slack in the motor that makes it slap back and forth.
I know this video is older but can you please tell me where you found the slider latch? I’m looking for a replacement one online but can’t find it anywhere. And I’m based in the UK, seeing as you had yours sent from here I’m hopeful. Thanks. Also this video was a massive help
