Smart meters are not compulsory and it is up to you whether you get one installed. You will likely be offered one by your supplier if you don't already have one, but you are well within your right to refuse.
My E energy app has turned into a blank white screen after a short switch to Utilita. Tried deleting & reinstalling but nothing. Any help would be very welcome thanks 👍

We were not home for about 4days and everything was turned off but came home to find that it has incurred over £10 on electricity, how is that possible
We with eon, and for 17 years been on pay as you go, meters, are pay as go gas broke, and they came round and told me they did not have a old gas machine they only had a smart meter, and said if we did not take it we would be left with out gas, we said we did not eamt smart meter, he lutvit in anyway as he eas not allowed to leave us with out gas, i call eon and sent email asking how to make ot a pay as you go, amd we do not have a screen like in the video, nothing from them, just had a bill for £650 im contesting it, as ive only every ued pay as you go, they now telling me they need to credit cheak me tonsee if i qualified for a pay as you go smart meter gor gas and electric. It all seems a bit mad never had any problems before now its gone all smart its all gone wrong they have offfed me a apologie letter great thats helpful
We got this put in . The old key top up was much better price wise. We have a 2 bed flat running electric. We got this shit fitted and all ready it say around £1.50 to £2.00 more a day. And were light users. On the key system we was using on average £2.50 per day. Now its. £3.50 to £4.50 ] per day all they say is your on the same rate and tariff etc. Load of shit. . !!!!! Eon 😢
Just 4 minutes after midnight, and my smart meter is showing £4.10 used so far. Clearly these meters give false readings. It’s saying I used 46KW in just 4 minutes!
If you ignore all the letter,s that come to try & get you to get a smart meter in, all of a sudden the old meter goes blank, so you have to contact them, then they say, (oh we dont repair the old meter) so you have basicly got no choice, you have to have a smart meter in, if i had the choice, i would definatly have a 50p or a pound coin meter, but they dont want to pay a guy to come to empty them, so thats more than likely why they were done away with, but they were by far the best sort of electric meter.
Whenever I top mine up, it destroys any balance I’ve got left so I seem to lose money every time I top it up I’m gonna phone them up tomorrow. I don’t know if anyone else is having that problem.
I recently got a new SMETS2 + Smart View 3 fitted, wasn't home till a few days after fitting, however its not showing any Gas data, only Electricity, nothing in the app either?
