Romania, vojvodina , Croatia and Slovenia are not part of the Balkan pennisula, they are Central Europe. It' 's not southeast Europe, that are Georgia, Armenia and Azerbeidzjan. This Pennisula is the third pennisula in Southern Europe, next to the Appenine- and Iberian Pennisula. That would be the good cultural definition, at my opinion. Slovenia was never part of The Ottoman Empire and Croatia just some junks of it.
Tuscany and the Marche do not belong to northern Italy, but to central Italy, an independent entity that should not be neglected again and again. And - pleeease - that tarantella/mandolin music does not belong to the Alps and northern Italy either.
It is very easy and secure to visit Uzbekistan nowadays. Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara & Khiva are wonderful cities with very friendly people . We went there in may 2023.
The ancient silk roads spanning across all the "tans". Ironically, these places are not developed till recently. These are beautiful and interesting cultural countries.
The ancient land of Tajikistan, the birthplace of the prophet Zarathustra and the Zoroastrian religion, King Vishtasp, protector and supporter of Zoroaster.
Uzbekistan is such a draw to me as are the other countries surrounding it. One day I will go there. Additionally Azerbhaijaan would be a nice country to visit. The daylight in these central Asian countries seem to be naturally bright devoid of any pollution.
Hey there, thanks for your comment! I totally agree with you, Uzbekistan and its neighboring countries are truly stunning and definitely worth a visit. Azerbhaijaan is also a super interesting one to look in to. So many places so little time 😂
They have such beauty to offer the world and all the more reason to represent them far and wide as much as possible. Hopefully more accessible to all in the near future. 😁
