Hi Petrol ped love your videos because your super informative. I've just purchased a mg hs phev. And a volvo t8 phev because of your videos like this. One thing I would say is I can't imagine having an ev with 2 young children as a journey would become a nightmare. After all they do things on thier terms not ours. So for me like you .much prefer plug in. You are a true leg end lol
"and then when you drop the kids off and there's no risk of them vomiting, you can put it in dynamic mode and have some fun" *continues driving at grandad speeds but in dynamic mode*. WHERE'S MAT AT?!
Looks as negative…???!?!? It’s the best looking estate in the class, the best looking 3 series ever!!! Sorry, are you guys blind…??? And no manual gearbox…? So what, the ZF 8 speed automatic is the best out there! I have a 3 series G21 (estate) and I LOOOVE it! 😍
Watching this in 2024 and still basically every car still come with scratchy plastic interiors, so nothing has changed beside increase of price. Its a joke really!
The reviewer only looks fresh out of school and comes across as a bit of a prat. He expects a 1.4 diesel to be quick! Side winds affect all vehicles. A very biased and poor review.
My son has just bought one of these, a 2016 plate and its in mint condition as it only has 14,500 miles on it, and such a lovely car he's well happy with it. Engine so nice and quiet, it's got everything you could want or need in a car, this is in 2024
What a pants review. Now used by taxi drivers with 300-500k miles. Awful boring car. Some of us only want a car for trouble free transport not penis waving
While Skoda, VW and Audi are all under the "Volkswagen Automotive Group" tent, is it _really_ fair to mark down the Octavia for not being as stylish as an Audi? Considering the types of customers these brands traditionally attract, I'd agrue not! The majority of Skoda custoners place a much higher value on practicality and value-for-money, which this Octavia delivers in spades. And it's fair to say that most Audi customers want something that looks, feels and drives well while still having class-competetive practicality and efficiency, if not as much as a Skoda. The Skoda may not be stylish, but it looks smart and inoffensive, which is traditionally something Skoda customers have appreciated. Often plain, but never ugly. Like this guy said earlier in the video, this Octavia is "probably all the car most families will need", and in that light, the Skoda team absolutely nailed their design brief! Easily an 8/10 car.
I completely agree with the reviewer. Absolutely spot on. I have this car, ix1 m sport as a courtesy car from BMW and i can confirm the ride is incredibly firm and after doing a return trip to London back to Nottingham, my back was aching. The infotainment is a pain whilst on the move as there's no jog dial and thetr was quite a bit of wind around the wing mirrors. The conclusion of this video is spot on though.
These are getting pretty affordable - cheaper than the said mazda 3 of the same age. Just wonder about the reliability and service costs of "premium" badge. Really like the looks of this, it is neck a neck with mazda 3 for best looking hatch imo.
