Is it me or does it show some signs of weathering? If so, could that help with the true date? I would think a stone of tuft/tuff hardness would take 1000's of years to weather? Also, wtf is it for? What project, and where? Mystery is larger and heavier then the stone itslef.

Wait where those giant stones moved there or were they there naturally and they just carved them in such a way? Either way thats insane.

Would it be disrespectful to get a small sample of the tuff stone from the hillside or somewhere close by? I wonder if it floats in a bowl of water.

To me, it has always appeared to have been cut and fashioned in such a way as to be able to be slotted, pointy end down, into something. Very much like a cap on top of a fence post in shape.

Is the Floating Stone the same stone as that of the ditch around it? I'm curious. I noticed the stone is disconnected from the foundation. Is it possible that the stone fell over? The stone seems to be symmetrical from the triangular portion. Ok, never mind. Your friend Taro(?) answered my question.

Idk if you've spotted it, but the cross-section of the 2 staircases shows the icon for lightening. The cross-section of the steps are painted white and follows the same pattern. I don't think that's an accident.

@candui-7 yo Vince! Conventional dating of the site is circa 4000BCE, but as you know, this is what they say about everything. The stones themselves are hundreds of thousands if not millions of years old and have been there since time immemorial. I think the actual construction and cutting of the stones was early Jomon period 10000 BCE, but this civilization existed on both ends of the last Ice Age, so could be during that period

People everywhere knew a lot of stuff along time ago. A lot longer than we're educated to believe. Modern humans have been around for 180000 + years does give our ancestors enough credit, in my opinion anyway. Thank you for the great content 👍

I don’t believe in coincidences either. Trip sounds very creepy. Almost like a lizard . The artwork depicting the pyramid in the flood with the animals floating by makes me think of the biblical story of Noah’s ark. I’m not well versed in the history of the civilization that existed before that flood. But I’ve heard about fallen angels , giants , and such. Of whom I’d imagine had influence on the construction of these structures 🤔. Anything may be possible. I put faith into Jesus.

Thanks for another great video. Being from the UK the following hadn't crossed my mind before your Japanese videos. I wonder if crustal displacement has been taken into account for the dating of any astronomically sites, let alone Japan which I'd guess would be the most effected. Trusting my soon to be AI overlord with the following "The Pacific plate's subduction causes northern Japan to move westward at a rate of about 40 millimeters per year along the east coast."; which over 5k years is 200 meters. This is a coincidentally similar value to the southern plate's movements that go North; so whilst it could have kept it's alignment I'd be amazed if it has. So unless I'm missing something either: They've taken into account crustal movement and axial precession, the plates have moved magically in such a away to keep things astronomically aligned or the dating is off. To clarify I'm thinking that 5k years ago the equinox alignments that are currently present would have been different. I doubt they would have gone to that effort to make the most accurate clock ever, that is only accurate for today's equinox's - unless it's a countdown clock...
