Chartered by Congress in 1958, the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s membership is limited to those who wear the Medal of Honor - to those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. The Society reflects their dedication to courage, sacrifice, integrity, commitment, patriotism, and citizenship that makes our nation great. Today, the Society is a 501(c)(3) devoted to sharing the values of the Medal of Honor Recipients through outreach, education and research. As the number of living Medal of Honor Recipients continues to decrease, this mission has become increasingly important, and the Recipients and the staff who support them are committed to continuing the work. By serving, remembering, supporting, and honoring the sacrifice of the Recipients, by sharing the stories and values inherent in them, we understand the responsibility and potential within each one of us to impact the world.

I just read this Heroes story on another post and came here to read more about it and I was absolutely thrilled to see there is an interview with this gentleman because I'm the type of person that would absolutely love divide him dinner just to listen about his life and not just the war part but about his whole life because a man who does something like this in battle will almost certainly lead an interesting life
I was a Dust Off crew chief with the 57th Medical Detachment in Vietnam in 1972-1973, my admiration for Michael J. Novosel’s bravery and dedication to the mission to save lives under enemy fire and any weather conditions is beyond words.
I LOVE YOU, Desmond!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ You up there with your lovely wife❤🙏and Fam. God bless 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 The gentleman who did Forensic Files. No less. Only the best to voiceover his story. Hell, Yes! Wow, no better reward, Mr. D
I got so touched by his history. I believe God did that huge miracles thru Desmond because he was so obedient and fearful of God. I believe that hugeness is how God can do good things thru every person who loves Him and respects Him as Desmond did. ❤

Dr Cox replaced my heart valve in August 2023. I met him at my job and who knew years and years later i would have a heart attack and my heart valve failing more (I am overweight 😢 and 48) and he would be the one to save my life. He cares so much and is my hero.

I served onboard USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60) from 1997 to 2001. I boarded her in Yokosuka, Japan and a year later, we shifted homeport to Everett, Washington. I spent my formative years working and traveling the world on that ship, all the while learning of and trying to be mindful of the legacy of Sergeant Davis. The man and the ship are both gone, but the legacy lives on. BOLDRUNNER!
