Man my car was making that same noise for like 5 years and I thought it was something minor lol but just last week it broke in the driveway the front cv axel !
They are not called CV axles. It’s a drive shaft. All front wheel drive driveshaft’s have an inner and outer CV joint. One end goes into the transaxle and the other end runs through the wheel hub assembly.
Sorry but what ur describing is a CV axle not a drive shaft. Drive shaft use universal joints to connect to eachother while cv axles use cv joints. Front wheel drive vehicle that utilizes transaxles to convert torque into motion have CV axles.
That's not a drive shaft that's a CV axle. Possibly a bad joint, also could be a bad motor mount too. The only thing I can tell for sure is it's not the drive shaft.
It’s a drive shaft numb nuts. All front wheel drive driveshafts have two CV joints. The inner CV that’s goes into trans axle. And the other CV runs through the wheel hub. Google it..
This hitting iron, am feeling to my etious, can you post the part here for us to see exactly what needs to be replaced , please it's bothering me so much.
First off it's not a drive shaft it's called a CV axle, can get the whole thing for like 70 to $90 it is a bit of work to install though best to have a mechanic do it if you're not very mechanically inclined
My explorer started making a similar sound to this when I’m turning right, just not as bad. I replaced both cv axles but it’s still doing it. It’s starting to annoy the shit out of me
