Great video lesson once again. I watched another person's video on this and had to laugh at the extensive disassembly and all the dropped parts. You demonstrated the obviously proper and concise way to make the maintenance repair. Thank you.
Like the others, I was able to get my sprayer to work like new once again thanks to your video with clear, easy to follow, instructions! A little 0000 steel wool did the trick to quickly clean up the steel balls and a small steel brush to clean up the screw threads on the connections!👍🏻👍🏻 Love it when these helpful RU-vid videos actually help me to fix /do whatever it is I’m seeking info for on any given day!
Hi. I bought an sg71 sprayer and within 1 month of using it it does not pressure up. I have to keep pumping it constantly to make it spray and as soon as i stop pumping it stops spraying. No one seems to help especially the dealers! Any advice PLEASE!!! The pressure gauge on the trigger shows nothing. I can use it but I have to keep pumping like mad and it feels like there is no pressure on the handle. What needs replacing?
There is a nut with a rubber washer inside the tank that you have to catch or retrieve when you take out the top central screw. Great video. Thank you very much !!
You make it look TOO EASY! When I try to pull the inside of the pump out to access the O-ring, I cannot get the shaft out of the cylinder. I have this all apart and I still cannot get that out to repair it. My Backpack has only been used once and I’ve had nothing but problems with it...first off, there was a “Cotton Ball” stuffed into the bottom of the pump, just below the steel ball. Now, I am getting a leak out of the top of the cylinder, I’m getting Poison all over my Left Shoulder.
Question for you Sir...My SG20 is leaking at the top of the Compression Chamber. I was just using some Herbicide in the yard and my back was getting wet..when I took the backpack off to see where the leak was coming from, it would leak fluid every time I pumped the handle. Why is it doing this?
Clarity is 99.5%...you did not show that there is a Metal Wire Clip tucked inside of the Rubber Washer you removed (First Step). That area is really tight to work in, so instead of removing the Top part of the Charging Rod, I removed the Charging Handle and I was able to see and remove the washer’s from the bottom. I hope I’ve made that clear. When it was all over, I was able toget pressure back ...for a short while. Then it went to a Dead-Handle..no pressure being pumped. So, I recalled that I needed to add a drop of Oil at the top of the Pressure Cylinder, inside that little black cup. I did that, refilled my tank wit h2 gal. Of water and it “Kind-of” worked but then it went back to a “Dead-Handle” again... This is a brand new unit, the O-Rings are brand new. What else can be the problem? Oct. 12, 2020
Once again..Excellent! You know, the Owner’s Manual mentions to add the oil to the “Piston?” But it doesn’t say anything about those two holes you mention here. This is why I love your videos..you are a “Step-by-Step” instructor. Most Excellent....
Excellent Instructions! You clearly explain every step, so important to someone like me who has never done this before. Altho this isn’t the problem I am having, your information is really appreciated. The “Holding Cup” for the parts. Some instructors never even mention a simple thing like this!...You have mentioned “EVERY” part you touched...extremely important..Thank You!
