Hello! Welcome! Sit down, stay a while! Here we look at my most favorite things to do! Enthusiast for all fun things in life, but most of my videos are on what I love the most...the Acura Integra (although enthusiastic may not fully describe ;) ). Countless hours driving Integras, and they are all beloved, and I am intrigued by the engineering feats that have gone into each one!
*The 1998 Acura Integra GS-R: One of my most favorite and have driven hundreds of thousands of miles in it! *The 2023 Acura Integra Aspec 6MT: A complete JOY to drive. My videos aim to inform you on all of its strengths...and there are many! *The 2024 Acura Integra Type S: A shock at just how GOOD it is!
You can count on plenty more information to come from us here on this channel, so stay tuned for a lot more fun! (Especially Integra and Honda stuff 😀)
My goal is to provide fun content that can benefit you and help you smile :)

@wyw201 What was your decibel reading when you were testing it out? Definitely has some noise, but an Integra should have noise to feel engagement. It hasn't bothered me at all, and if you're listening to music, you can't tell at all, really in my experience.
@@PlasmadaeDal I wasn’t listening to music and I don’t have a professional SPL meter lol. I’m not a sound proofing engineer. NVH was something that jumped out during the test drive. I can understand the engagement factor in terms of engine noise, but not road noise. Turning the music up definitely helps and ELS is a great audio system but you also want to preserve your hearing.
@wyw201 Gotcha! Yeah, when I tested, it was about 42 decibels. The insulation factor is another aspect, and while it's not the most quiet car, a car like the S2K is what noisy is, or a Porsche 911 GT, but in those cases, you want the noise. Did you try the Integra Type S, by chance? Now those are some FUN noises! 😄
@wyw201 The Aspec is awesome. I'd always recommend the 6MT, and don't worry so much about the sound. It's really not bad at all and taken plenty of trips in it...fabulous car!
I went from the FK8 to the DE5 and I can not agree more. I was hoping wishing and praying Acura offers the FL5 seats that are heated as an option. I would pay today.
@Jay_812 oh yes! Keep doing that! I think we are in store for a lot of amazing stuff! Imagine heated Type R seats?! That really would be mamma cradling baby! Hahahha!
@@adaywithdante9623 Maybe not intense for you! Depends on what you're used to, right? But everywhere Teggy went were all 4X4 or AWD, and Teggy ate it up!
@@adaywithdante9623 I was seriously impressed with the snow performance! Put Blizzak on Teggy and seriously unstoppable! You wouldn't think it was "just" FWD 😀
Nice review.I prefer the manual but all these subsribers and you tubbers that bag on the cvt in the Acura and try to claim its slower than a Honda fit are not realistic. Its mathematically impossible that it's slower than a Honda fit
@gwapogreg5837 Hahaha! The CVT is definitely not slow. I was expecting the transmission to be nearly terrible, but once I drove it, I was supremely surprised in a positive way! I've had other people drive the Integra CVT and I ask them, "Does anything seem weird with the transmission? ", and not that they are big enthusiasts like me, they do know cars, and what fun is (they love Integras too!) And they could not tell me anything was wrong or weird. I told them it was a CVT, and they didn't care at all. With the music blasting, it's very subtle that it's even a CVT because the thing MOVES! It's powerful and fast enough for most people as a CVT variant. I think we've all been scarred from the past and can't let go! For me personally, I love the 6MT Aspec so the CVT would never cross my mind, but even driving the CVT up the canyon was a blast! (I just can't get over the fact that it is an Integra ANNNNND a CVT haha and the sound of the CVT ...otherwise, performance is great!) Check out the canyon drive! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ifsh5f8u9w0.htmlsi=qn5eqW4ZCfI3Qmky Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for the feedback! It was a great trip that I'll be scared to do again. Even tho I had a clearbra on, a rock pelted hard and took a chunk out. Eeek! Fun time in Long Beach tho!
@@PlasmadaeDal glad you’re safe and truly did enjoy the review as I’m looking to buy one myself. I just wish I could have been able to hear the car more instead of the background music. I’m hoping to get my hands on a Liquid Carbon ITS with black interior. Probably gonna have to factory order as I can only ever find it with red interior near me.
@@PlasmadaeDal I just like the general sounds that a driver would experience such as engine/exhaust noises. Honestly just don’t see the value of loud background music being added to the video cuz it just covers up the actual experience. My opinion.
@Calamity_X7274 Yeahhh! Definitely a lot of fun! The rims are 18.5, and the tires are 245/40R18. I will say that this wheel combo was amazing. My only reservation is the brembo brakes and rims were very close together (about 1/8 inch!) The brakes were fine tho, luckily no scuffs from snowy debris! )
@Sickstringfarm Every car, to a certain extent, is going to have noise. It's all in what you desire, right? For Integra, it's a car that is meant for a lively buyer, someone who wants more fun, but offers some refinement. So I believe the Integra strikes a perfect balance between engagement, and comfort. The noise is not bad at all. But if you want it to be super quiet, this probably requires you to decide for yourself, but it's definitely not a noisy car, and gves a good experience to hearing the engine and your surroundings, while still being super fun! ;)
@austinpfoster Awesome! I take it your TLXS is Performance Red? Such a pretty color Acura has created! Saw the Red Integra Type S as well in red...stunning!
ive had the 2024 Aspec w/tech CVT trying to convince my Waifu to lets us switch to manual, however in the Washington DC area traffic is always present and it sucks and we have speed cameras everywhere too. I will say tho, I love the Integra and just trying to figure out if its safe or worth using the paddle shifters at all? Thoughts??? But the integra is sweet as long as you arent trying to flex against more serious type race or street cars but its a refined, smooth chill ass city cruiser for sure and super convenient to multi task while driving in stop and go traffic if you are super OCD or ADHD like me 🤣 Cheers! P.S. I think performance red looks best for the Integra
@deegee8042 The performance Red looks stunning, I agree. Acura nailed the colors on the Integras for sure. As far as the paddle shifters, I never bothered trying during test. I was so surprised at how well the CVT performed that it was enough for me! My other video of the canyon drive also solidified it for me. My friend who tested with me did try the paddles and liked them and I know Acura tried to make it fun. True, the 1.5l Integras are not powerhouse, but they are plenty of power for most people and its PLENTY FAST. My only gripe with CVT is the sound. I can't get over the CVT drone! If you have your music loud, may not even notice, especially in Sport mode. The 6MT is absolutely more fun. Even if I was in stop-and-go traffic, I'd opt for the 6MT. I still absolutely love my Aspec 6MT. Speed cameras?!
@@PlasmadaeDal yes bruv speed cameras everywhere, as in if u go at least 9miles or over there will be a giant flash that takes a pic if your tag and u get at least $40 ticket, all over DC, Maryland and Virginia and it sucks, that and we also have horrible traffic hence why I have little interest in investing too much money into a race car when I can rarely open up without consequences
@deegee8042 That's a bummer! The 6MT will at least give you all the feels of engagement and fun while not having too much power to be worried about. The Aspec definitely is fast, but on a smaller scale hehe. What people say is slow car fast. With those speed traps hidden all over, sounds like you'll be trying to find some canyon roads outside of DC on the weekends! I like to get to the canyons every Saturday morning, if I can, because like you say, Regular city driving just doesn't quite cut it. However; the other option you may want to consider is the ITS! It's not quite as comfy as the Aspec, but it's a LOT of power but comfortable. No memory seats like the Aspec tho :/ It's got some race car in it, but still being really nice. I still believe the Aspec is one of the very v3st daily drivers on the market!
Yea bro I agree, canyon and little random windy roads are whats up and thankfully we do have some here and there. I had a red integra years back when i was 24 ish and I think its cool I have one again 😅 . I would love to stick with the Integra I love it. If i can i would like to swap to the manual…. If I cant the CVT will do and I would also do some minor mods eventually like adding 40-50lbs of hp/trq, some exhaust, tinting windows and maybe a wrap/body kit, and rims when they get old or scratched, which a sadly got a teeny one against a curb 🤬
@deegee8042 No way!! I love Integras as well, as you may have guessed from my other videos. I still have my OG '98 GS-R, and still drive it! When Acura announced the new Integra, I was suuuuper excited! These cars are so great! I'm really curious what the future holds ;)
lol you did this yourself what happened to side doors handles and the front it would’ve been cool if it had the logo but if I have to walk to my car and a dark area i think my 9mm is all the lights I need
@@PlasmadaeDal it’s an adjective bud, look at the context, a rich individual wouldn’t buy an Acura nor would they care if it got a little wet. Just because you can barely afford it, does not mean everyone else can barely afford it
@brucestrickland8561 There are always gonna be allegations out there. So far, my 2023 Aspec is running really smooth! I will say this, though...and take it with a grain of my own paranoid salt...I NEVER look at the maintenance minder! I ALWAYS service the oil every 4-5000 miles....never any later! Even if it says I'm 80% life left, I ignore it, and take in for service.
@@PlasmadaeDal Another allegation: Those 10,000 mile recommended oil changes are good for the original owner who trades after 30-40,000 miles. Not so good for the next owner. I've been seeing 5,000 as a realistic oil change interval, and I'll go with that.
@brucestrickland8561 Yep! I will ignore all advice and go with every 4-5000 miles and you should be good. If you were to ask an engine engineer, they would say every 3-4k :)
@@PlasmadaeDal Yeah, I'm thinking 5K at the most, probably make 4K the ceiling. Just took it in for a change at 1,500. It would have been sooner but the garage had to schedule me two weeks out. Years ago I followed my Dad's example: 2K. WAY before today's turbos.
@@brucestrickland8561 Great example! Now that engines are much more efficient, I add on a fee more, but 4k is a nice spot to look at. I don't think you'll go wrong with it. 😀 Hope all is well with you!
@LukeO-1234 Yeah, it's a different beast. These 1.5s have a lot of efficiency but great engine output. One of the things that's so sweet about what Acura has done to the Integras is a little higher-revving engine, with a little more sound as you drive. Makes the experience a little more immersive, I think 😀
@@PlasmadaeDal I've been considering trading my 20 TLX for a Integra manual. Not sure yet because I also like the Honda Ridgeline but I know they're different sides of the totem pole
@@LukeO-1234 Indeed, the Ridgeline is a different animal completely, but if you do mostly road travel, with occasional trips to the hardware store, Ridgeline is great. I am waiting for a more aggressive look before I consider, but I'm a Tacoma guy, and once you've driven a Taco, it's hard to go to something like Ridgeline...I expect some special stuff to happen in a few years. The 6MT is super versatile as well, but I wouldn't ever want to take it off roading because I think it's too nice for that. Put winter tires in in winter, and it's unstoppable!
Cant wait until next year around this time or maybe sooner to get one of these with a 6mt. Hope its got a red or white interior. No matter what ill take what i can get at a good price
What is the width of the wheel 7.5J ? The tires are a bit wider for those wheels. They are a bit pinched, that will take away part of the handling of your vehicle on dry/wet roads. 245 40 18 are wider and taller than your vehicle spec. Your right size tires and wheels for winter condition are 18x8J 235 40 18 tires.
@genderlessyoutubefanperson What we chose ended up being perfect for winter driving. Handled like a beast! Handling in Winter tires is already quite different than summers, but width we did 8.5 roughly
@@genderlessyoutubefanperson Yeah, the calipers were SUPER close to the rim, but otherwise, they were fantastic. Calipers undamaged as well. Width and the ICE X were superb.
@@PlasmadaeDal I bought 255 45 20 Michelin X-Ice Snow tires and will install them on 20x9J wheels. Those are the minimum wheels and tire width and diameter I can install on my vehicle cos the disks/calipers are massive.
@genderlessyoutubefanperson I hear you! The X Ice are a phenomenal choice. OEM size on Integra Type S is 19", but we went 18 to have a taller sidewall for a more-forgiving ride in the snow. It gave it SUCH a plush ride. Holy moly, talk about Comfort Mode Plus!
@odubble Same 200 HP fun! Definitely not a powerhouse, but off the line, the Aspec will whip even the Integra Type R. But Integras are more than raw power and speed, they are beauty, and balance rolled into an incredibly fun ride! I love all the Integras from over the years 😀
@lluneytune Absotootely not joking, my friend! The great thing about these cars is they dont need to be speed demons or powerhouse demons to be fun! If all you look at is 0-60, there's a lot to miss. Take this on a winding canyon road, and you’ll have the time of your life! The 0-60 rating is something higher echelon cars need to post, because that's a lot of their competition and what that market segment looks at....lots of cars are fast, which is fun, sure, but where I find true enjoyment in cars is the balance and articulation through fun roads that twist and turn, and corner! And this car has a 6MT! Mind 🤯 ! Super fun!
@granular1 You know Mr. Ikeda, of Acura, led the design team for the Acura TL back in 2004, and he's here with Acura today ;) Acura genes, through and through!
Bro-sum! I'd be mixing 87 & e85 all day w/prices soaring skyhigh! You'll get proper octane readings of approx. 91-95 w/a ½ & ½ mix for those high comp. bangers bro!😆👌"erryone's doing it man, save a penny dude"
@drizzle824 I think it's about 1800 psi, however, I don't know if I can recommend it, because it's slightly more pressure than I would like (i want about 1500 psi). I'm currently looking for an ideal pressure washer. Until then, I have some very low pressure units that I use....but I'm to a point where I may get rid of all my greenworks, because I now have about 5 different battery types and it's getting ridiculous. This particular pressure washer is not powerful enough for me for other, non-car projects. I'm hoping someone makes an all-in-one unit....still looking for it!
No. There are a few reasons for me...1. Those cars are driven HARD, they are like rentals. I'm sure they would be fine, but for 32, you'd have a brand new vehicle. 2. The depreciation once you drive a brand-new vehicle off the lot is substantial, so think of 2k depreciation instantly. That puts you at 30k or less...and it's brand new, and you know it hasn't been abused by folks driving it hard. 3. There's nothing like taking delivery of a vlnew vehicle, knowing exactly how it's been driven, and all of that. I'd recommend new....over the life of the loan, not much different (of course, interest rates are RIDICULOUS right now). If you plan on keeping it for a long time, should be good. If you think you really want it, offer 24k OTD, and make sure they honor the 2 year warranty, etc. Keep me posted on how that goes!
