Good ol lexington park. Where you’re guaranteed to get car jacked if you’re at the AMC after dark 😂 crazy thing is PAX River Naval Base is literally right behind the camera
For anyone saying that MD has the worst drivers then you are correct, I think that there is something in the water that gives everyone a lukewarm IQ in southern Maryland.
Ppl drive like shit here.. part of me believes it’s because SOOO many people come here from the military, and not every state has the same MVA qualifications. Shooot. Some states don’t require you to attend driving school at all.
I seriously hate living down here it’s nothing but lowkey racist wyte folks and it’s mostly the cops fr besides that people out here can not drive at all speed limit can be 30 mph and someone is always going 10-15 mph blocking up traffic
Led lights on emergency vehicles suck compared to old strobe units, the strobes would actually reflect for miles alerting drivers of accidents, and the horns aren't as loud to protect the drivers ears in emergency vehicles. I always yield but I'm constantly sweeping my mirrors, new drivers are more reliant on tech in new vehicles.
Welcome to Southern Maryland! Here are some facts: 1. The drivers are fucking insane 2. No one knows how to use a turn signal 3. common folk (as you can see) don’t give a fuck about letting first responders through 4. there’s nothing to do here other than fish and drink OR you have a lot of money to fish and drink with 5. traffic is insane on days ending in Y. we are overcrowded and there are few plans for infrastructure expansion 6. Calvert county is the 17th richest county to live in *in america*, St. Mary’s County (where this was taken) isn’t too far behind What makes you forget about all of it? god DAMN it’s always gorgeous whenever you look outside.
Why doesn’t anyone move over for emergency vehicles anymore smh. Earlier today I was driving through Hollywood/California area and there was a funeral line with all this traffic passing and I just remember a time when people had more respect around here
People might hate me for saying this but LV1FD is the best firehouse in SOMD because it felt like when I was younger that I was also a brother to the firefighters there because I am the nephew of a very well trusted firefighter that used to volunteer there
Yeah, but this area is filled with people from all over. I constantly drive out of state and I'm pretty sure every state can make that claim. People are just rude, impatient, and yes, have no fuckin idea how to drive.
@@seedtheprotogenit’s one of the prettiest drives in the county. The base loop. When I delivered for dominoes. My boss would be pissed I’d sometimes take like 39 minutes to get back.
This is strange, usually the emergency vehicle travels in the left most lane, since vehicles are required to yield and pull to the right! Is Maryland different?
No, but the responders will travel the least congested lane at the time, and most drivers are listening to idevices and never watch their rearview mirrors also
That road and this area is full of people from all over (it’s a military town), and honestly no clue why people don’t at least move over for them. Most of the time though people do actually move out of the way, but not on this road though.
Probably because they are on the far right and half the drivers in from of them think the rig is gonna turn right...only reason for a rog to be driving in the rightmost lane
@@Beezlie727 that doesn't excuse the crew for staying in the far right lane. Almost everywhere in the US, the law is slow down and move right to clear a lane.
@@tims1787 Exactly!!In that 15,20 second video, they must have traveled maybe a half mile……..in that distance ANY Emergency Vehicle should be all the way left.Maybe all the drivers are just confused as to why Fire is code 3 on the right ‘like should we pull over or just keep driving,I don’t know’.In the Capital State,no less.It bothers me
@@filipburks3500 Definitely bizarre. I live in the area and can't really figure why they'd be over there. At a certain time of day that area gums up with traffic, but it seems like mid morning.
