They aren't saying she is transgender their saying she is intersex. She was born with a vagina and internal testicles that's why she would have XY chromosomes while being a woman. That gives her an advantage as she has the testosterone level of a male, which is 5x higher than a womans testosterone level. Intersex athletes have been banned from womens sports, but the Olympics don't do sex testing, so basically, just showing your identification is enough to qualify.
