hi Mark, can't remember first night camp spot, may have been slyguff lock but second night was just after the bridge at Graigeunamanagh there is a camping spot with fire pit
Thanks Owen, glad you enjoyed. Was hoping do again this year but away. Standard advice really ... pace yourself and enjoy it. I did a recce first year and that helped. All the best, hopefully sunshine the whole way
Very nice trip, do you know how far up the river its is possible to sail a boat from the river mouth? I think the weir at Graguenamangh would stop you going up that far?
Suppose like any sportive, good preparation in advance, take all the breaks to refuel, bit of chamois cream 😬 and enjoy the ppl and scenery along tge way. You planning on doing it?
@@ameliaRN Hi Amelia, that's great to hear! I hope you have a lovely day and enjoy your time there. I'm not doing it this year unfortunately but I'm still cycling :)
Yeah, cycled thro Lofoton 2018, spectacular. I didnt like the high narrow bridges or the road tunnels, not nice. Price of stuff is crazy also but the scenery is just awsome.
Trevor Porter hi Trevor, tunnels were only along one part and well lit but none the less need take care ... The section along gardaland is busy with commercial vehicles and roads bit narrower in sections that was more off putting ... I thought drivers were ok. Going with local guide helped but I’d be confortable alone also .. it’s amazing scenery just cycle safe
Mark Anthony McKay hi Mark, look up bike land on FB or gardabikeland.com ... he has bikes and guided tours and is a good character ... recommend the paragliding also ... enjoy!!!
