Is it just me but when I watched this film for the first time I kept saying to myself: “why do they need to know the name on the grave, cemetery’s aren’t that big” but then at 0:48 , I was like “oh shit”
I am inclined to think the O of the duel place is the O of the question mark symbol, that refers to "which tomb is the good one?" - the O as the final piece of this question
The perfect storm of people from all walks of life just happened to meet to make these films. I don't care if you were one of the cast or swept the floor.... THANK YOU. ❤
Wonder how many graves were dug up after this movie aired in Mexico ??? Not many because We had something so common nobody ever knew it would disappear in 30 years!!! It Was a little thing called Common sense!!
It's incredible that they actually built this graveyard from scratch, just to make this film. How many Italians did they have to kill to fill the graves, though?
I always liked how "Blondie" stayed one step ahead of Tuco. He doesn't exactly tell Tuco which grave has the gold at first. He also unloads Tuco's gun the night before getting there when he was sleeping.
I think part of the reason this is such a great scene is because it shows the evil of greed. Tuco is so greedy to obtain the $200,000 that he's indifferent to all the lives lost among him, who were also killed by greedy politicians.
For those in Hollywood who is watching this, the right music can make your film a masterpiece. Enni Morricone is no longer around so your next option is Hans Zimmer.
Mamma mia .
One of the main reasons movies suck now is because of HD and digital filming. Look at old movies shot on film-the film and lighting transported us to another world, now all the movies look like just normal people in costumes. Add to that the lazy ass writing and all the PC shite and you get what we have now.
the shot where Tuco runs, and stays in the middle of the frame the entire time, as if running on the spot, while the world spins faster and faster behind him is so beautiful and thematically layered
